Leo gulped. He can distinctly remember what he said to Gus back at Evnae City when he unconsciously states out he might build an air filterer special to Evnae's dreadfully polluted air. That seemingly innocent spur-of-the-moment assertion ended up being a source of inspiration for him to actually build the said machine.
Though, thanks to the old man's knowledge, now the artist knows of the existence of Regent's Guards...a special units of sorts to guard some valuable ores, or that's what he understands at least. Apparently, Leo really needs those ores to create this thingamajig of his, and there are two things he needs to go through in order to get them.
One, is the guards. With Leo being a peaceful soul, he tries his best to stay clear of any arguments, so confronting the guards to force himself a permission to enter would be out of his option list. That leaves option number two, which is attaining some dragon scales, as Gus noted him, to bribe his way through the guards. ...But, isn't plucking scales out of a dragon would be against some dragon law or something? And the fact that Leo appreciates life and all that inhabits it just makes it impossible for him to attain those scales without feeling guilty. Plus...where in the world does the dragons live anyway?
So that's why he's standing in Iron-Maw at the moment, the said mines that was used during some war. He's already wearing a pair of boots, and his shoulder-length hair has been tied up in a ponytail behind him, expecting to do some ore-hunting. If he can't attain it in Evnae, then he'll dig it himself.
Usually, Leo would never go this far just to gain an ingredient for his project...but still, the thought of completing this one special task is seriously tempting him to feel at least a bit of satisfaction. And him being so devoid of emotions, this is like a once-in-a-liftime feeling for him.
"Alright...now." Here's a question. How would a crazy-minded inventor, without a hoe or any of those sorts, who have no idea how to dig for ores in the first place, would attain any ores?
Spotting a large chunk of boulder, Leo walked his way to it, plant something in the dirt very near to the rock, runs the hell away, hides behind a larger mineral matter, and stuck his fingers inside his ears.
The answer: Build a detonation device, of course. Any crazy scientist would.
'Nuclear reactions always work...'
BOOM!!

[mind if I? ^^] Rayl, feeling so adventurer at the moment have gone into the Veyyard: The Lost Lands, a part of the Diabolic Domain's place. In which she have come across at the place full of irons and ores that was once used in wars.
She frowned seeing the place, a not so good eyesight yet a quiet place to be wandered, trained and sort of that.
But what surprises her is a loud BOOM, she was startled so to speak. She went into where that place would be, smoke gushed around the place as she covered her nose with her hand.
"What was that?!" she uttered out.

The loud explosion shook the soil, as the very person who planted that detonation device in the first place fell off from his crouching position, dirtying his pants with the earth. Heaving out in content by that successful 'nuclear reaction' as he called it, a faint sound of a voice traveled into his hearing range.
'Oh no, don't tell me somebody's here..' Scampering up on his two feet, Leo ran back to where he planted his explosion, entering the smoke without a second's thought. He never meant to hurt anybody, thinking the worst that could happen IS happening; the explosion he created harms a living being.
"H-hey!!" He called out, pausing his steps while trying to look around through the now lessening smoke. "Is somebody here?? Are you hurt!? Where are you?!"

Rayl frowned as she somehow wobble at the explosion, as the smoke lessens she saw a guy who looks around.
She sighed as she uncovers her nose with her hand. She took a one step forward but then stopped. Her eyes seemingly looks like glaring at the guy.
She was of course untrustworthy to other beings. Even if its a human or a demon.
She haven't replied at the questions of the guy, but hearing the guy's voice; she sighed. "I'm not hurt..." she replied quietly in a flat, blank voice.

Upon seeing an unharmed maiden as the smoke clears out, Leo heaved out a relieving sigh with a hand patting his chest. "Oh, thank heavens.. I don't know what I'll do if I found some pieces of organs laying around here..." He sighed again, before turning his attention towards where he had planted the explosion.
He expected some ores conveniently in his range of view now, but all he sees is a crater...a deep crater. The large mineral-riched rock that once exist there was no where to be found. 'Good God, did I made my nuclear a little bit too powerful..?' Dissapointed at this, the artist then hanged his head low.
After taking a while to recover his weeks of work making that detonation device, Leo then reached his hand up and scratched behind his head, shifting his weight to his other foot while sighing. Glancing up at this girl, Leo blinked at the sight, stepping away from her a bit. Her sour face made his step much larger.
"Um.. I'm truly sorry for blowing something on your way..and uh.." He paused, still blinking at this scary girl. He averted his blue eyes away from this girl, looks around for a while, slowly glancing back at the girl, then cringed..
".....Please stop looking at me like you're going to eat me."

Looking at the guy with a sour looked, she sighed and looked down at her clothing's which consist of a black blouse with white collar, a 3/4 fitted jeans and a black combat boots. She sighed, dusting away the dirts that hovered her clothings.
Rayl once again looked at the guy who cringed at her look, she sighed. "Be thankful I don't eat careless guy like you as well as humans so to speak." she stated monotone-ly as she glanced at the effect of the loud explosion the guy just did awhile ago. A deep crater was the effect of the explosion, what seems to disappoint the guy is the minerals that seems to be at the now crater.
"He explode... the ores," she thought out and look once again at the guy.
"Reason," she said or rather stated in a business tone like, pertaining to what the guy is doing here in the Iron Maw.

Once again, Leo recoiled as he blinked at this frightening girl. Really, the lad's not the best smiler, but at least his face isn't THAT horrifying when he's frowning. Leo eyed her from head to toe, a habit of his once he met someone new, and shifts his upper body to the back slightly at her all-black attire.
After hearing her response however, Leo not only shifts away from her, but taking baby steps backwards to try and keep his distance from this seemingly scary person. "I'm grateful enough to chanced onto somebody that scares the crap out of me but intriguing at the same time." He stated frankly, trying to lift a forced smile.
Leo paused his fear at the girl's sudden question...or at least he thought it's a question. "Reason? ..Of what? ...Oh, you mean this?" Its a good thing he's able to catch what she meant quickly. He spreads out his arms towards the crater, giving off a short singular chuckle at it. "I want some ores. ...And ending up destroying it."

If Rayl is such a cheerful, optimistic person like she never would be; she'll laugh her arse off at the action of the guy in front of him. He seems to be more afraid to her rather than intriguing as what he said out.
She grunted as she look to the side, where he raises his arms which pointed in the side where he explodes the ores. "Hmmm... do you have any materials to use here?" she let out, a surprised that she finished out 9 words in a questioning sentence.
She, somehow seems to be out of character, because she rarely talks in the other places she was in. All she ever reply is a soft grunt or just an action. But, she seems to act as a human for this day. Thinking that she wanted to have some acquaintance somehow in this place. Since she is planning to stay here for awhile.

Leo doesn't know, or much less able to, read anyone's thoughts or actions...especially a woman's. So his reaction to the girl's sudden change of tone is supposed to be a loud "You're conversing with me properly! THANK YOU!' but since he's never the type to feel an emotion that strongly, Leo just responds with a pair of bright surprised eyes.
"Y-yeah, of course. I'm in search for specific ores... Uh, wait, why do you even ask...?" True, he can't read people, but he CAN detect when somebody's being out of character...even when he just met one within 15 minutes. He stared at this girl, his fear died down in curiosity as he started to take s few steps closer to her, just to scrutinize her eyes. He wanted to ask a question to her...but it got replaced suddenly by another question he secretly wanted to asked her the second he's able to see her eyes clearly.
"Have you killed anybody??" Of course, the young artist can't defy his own stupidity for asking that unnecessary one. "I-I mean! May I know your name? At least. Before I got myself killed by you or anything..." Or squeezing that certain unnecessary question inside his second supposed-to-be-more-sensible one.

"Have you killed anybody??"
Rayl looked at her with a sudden expression of cold, soft and calm ones; a combination that seems to be impossible to let out. A cold look that she felt she seems like a killer to everyone, and not knowing the real Rayl. And soft, calming eyes that show how the guy in front of her seems to be able to let out courage to asked something like that.
"I-I mean! May I know your name? At least. Before I got myself killed by you or anything..."
"Enzan Rayl," she let out as she looked at the guy. "I do kill either they're innocent or guilty, in a mission; but not in my own pleasure." she answered his intriguing question.
"You?" she asked in a monotone voice as she eyed him from head to toe as her eyes looked at him straight in the eyes, calmly.

Leo almost let out a silent squeak upon hearing her admitting that she HAS stole a life..or many lives, but the artist managed to cover his timid squall with a gasp and a cough. He's usually isn't this cowardly, but since he was mistreated a lot of times by his fellow seniors, Leo developed a habit..or more like a curse..to scream often if threatened. Thank God it doesn't sound girlish...well, most of the time.
But after learning she's a sort of assassin and eyeing her arms if she's wielding any hidden sharp ornaments or anything, Leo decided that he can't possibly be her victim. He refuse to believe so after studying her eyes. Plus, he never made anybody hated him that much to the point of wanting to annihilate him...Leo does his best to please everybody, after all. "I'm assuming...I'm not in your blacklist. Right?"
The young inventor loosened up a bit after the girl introduced herself, his shoulders stopped tensing and dropped in a relieving manner. Revealing one's name to a stranger is an official gesture that the stranger is an acquantance, at least for a while. His eyes shone even more brightly at her question of his name. ..Hopefully, it doesn't sound familliar to her. He wanted to keep his life a bit more till he could change the world.
"I'm.. My name is Leo de Piero." Manners doesn't matter to him, the exchange of their names are enough of a greeting instead of a formal handshake. "Rayl Enzan, I have a question for you." Being strange even as a child, his mother never bothered to teach him to say at least 'pleased to make your acquantanced' after introducing himself, so he just went straight to the point.
"Why are your eyes cold and soft at the same time?" Being an artist plus inventor, Leo's keen eyes and strong guessing ability combined would make him notice even the smallest of change within anything. That's one of his hidden strong points that often goes unnoticed...or shadowed by his cowardice.
"If you'd like to ignore my question, then please distract yourself by helping me to find some copper ores, if you don't mind?" Leo can't read people. But he's an extraordinary guesser.

"Why are your eyes cold and soft at the same time?"
Rayl grunted as she looked away at his questioning gaze. She never was the one who likes to answer things personally, especially all about her emotions. Because she don't know how to make out her emotions.
"de Piero..." she suddenly called out not really used of calling someone at their first name. She then started to summon something at her hand with the use of her ice element.
"Do you have any equipment to used in finding those ores you seek?" she let out nonchalantly as she looked at him blankly. Not letting something to be revealed... trying NOT to let something OUT.

Leo stood his ground in silence, now confident that she won't harm him. It's strange though, he could just tell by just catching sight of her aqua-blue eyes. He let out a weak small smile at her attempt to saying out his last name.
The artist didn't even bother to step back at her sudden summoning of...something. He made up his mind already that he doesn't fear this girl anymore, so his normal laid-back attitude is back. Her question got his tongue tied though.
"Uh..." He looked around his own body. Leo just brings his large brown bag, but no hoe in sight. "Well, obviously, nope." He shrugged lazily, "Except some more detonation devices and some other metal scraps...if..that can even be considered a type of equipments, that is."

Rayl looked down at her hand as she slowly summoned something useful in their little escapade here in Iron-Maw. She frowns once knowing that the guy only has a detonation bombs and some scrap metals.
She sighed as she started to summon an Ice Hoe that would help the both of them to seek ores.
After finished summoning the hoe, she gave the hoe to the guy as her left hand as well summoned an Ice Hoe. "Though this might help you..." Rayl let out softly.

Leo didn't show a tint of amazement on his face as the girl materialized a sort of ice-made hoe with just using one hand. He has never seen such an ability in his lifetime, truthfully, but his over-active mind had already imagined this skill to exist in his own unthinkable world, so when viewing it live didn't strike much of a surprise to him. Leo blinked as she handed him the thing, he even stole some time to arched a brow at her offer.
"Why the sudden gesture?" He asks as he held the equipment in his grip, but it literally slipped off his finger, almost chopping off his toes as it knocked the ground. Good thing he removed his foot on where it was before he becomes the first ever artist with no toes.
"Sorry," the lad quickly apologizes as he bent down to pick the thing up, but the ice is so slippery, it slid its way off his grip yet again. ...Only this time it almost chopped off Rayl's foot.
Leo hollered out another apology, but instead of picking it back up again, the artist stood back straight, tapped his two fingers on his chin in a thinking manner, opens his oversize shoulder bag, and pulled out a pair of cotton-made gloves.
He quickly slipped them on, tries to handle the ice-made hoe, and pulls it off the ground, satisfied that it didn't slipped off his hand this time. Facing back to Rayl, the artist shrugged his shoulders.
"So miss assassin, let me reveal to you the possible outcomes of our meeting at the moment." Lifting the ice hoe up with a hand and settles it on his right shoulder, Leo smiled lightly at her. "One, is the fact that my clumsy questioning nature would vex and disturb you to the point of accidentally or purposely ending my life." He said it with such casualty that it didn't seem like a threat to him at all.
"Two, is I might figure you out faster than you could imagine it even happening...and I'm assuming you're not going to like that." He had his back turned to her already, then slightly twisting his upper body to half-face Rayl.
"Three, is that we might ended up being...friends. And neither of us would want that." He paused, turns his body to fully face the front now, and use his other hand to scratch his black shoulder-length hair. "There's a fourth outcome, but I rather not discuss that."
