Kyori listened to him telling her what he liked being what most people ignored. She thought on that for a moment as it seemed like an interesting way to view things. Kyori pretty much just tried whatever was recommended but she hadn't really thought too much on trying things that people never did.
She stopped to see him go back to look for something then return and say his hat was missing. The hat that caught her eye to see that he was up there? She looked out over the edge and wondered if it fell in the water. She was more focused on the person hanging from the edge than where it fell from. Maybe she'd come back later to see if it washes up.
His last comment rather confused her and she looked at him strange as they continued on. "Why are blind people lucky?" She questioned back, not quite understanding his point.

Leo stepped over a stone on his way, careful not to drop his canvas and stand as he did. "When one of your five senses is disabled, your other four senses are highly sharper than normal people." He adjusted the strap of his bag on his shoulder slightly, slowly leaving the sandy part of the land and towards the grassy areas.
"Try walking on somewhere vast with your eyes closed for about half an hour. You can sense your surrounding much better with the new awareness instilled. Imagine what a blind person acquired after years of seeing only darkness." He looked over to Kyori for a moment, slowing down his pace so she would be leading a bit to keep an eye of her. He heard the areas around Corsica recently have been manifested by snakes, that's why he did so, "Mind your step, Kyori."

Kyori listened intently to this person's interesting way of looking at things. She smiled slightly as she closed her eyes for a moment and breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth before opening them again. She looked down then as he said to mind her step, almost having stepped right into some strange but small hole that would've tripped her so she hopped over it with a slight sheepish smile.
She looked over at him a moment with a smile and faced forward again as she began to speak. "You have an interesting way of looking at things. I think that makes you a rather fascinating person so far. There's not too much very interesting about me, really." She said with a smile at him again.

Leo darted his attention to his right. He swore he just saw something moving there at the corner of his eyes, but there's only grasses dancing with the wind there. Still wary of it, the artist adjusted the weight he's holding with a thorough scan around the grassy area as far as he is able to.
He glanced at Kyori as she commented of his view, and Leo just shrugged. Anyone can view things like that, it's just that most people are distracted by materials to even begin and question life. "Every walk of life is interesting, it's just how you view it that determines how interesting it is."
Leo paused, catching sight of something a bit in front of the woman. "Kyori, don't move!" He warned, his eyes fixed to that thing a bit away from Kyori; a snake readying to pounce. "Just back away...very slowly..."

Kyori chuckled in response to his sentence about viewing different walks of life. "That's definitely true." She said with a cheerful smile as she continued walking on.
Kyori stopped as soon as he told her not to move. She wasn't sure what he'd spotted yet until she looked around and noticed a snake not to far. Kyori slowly took small steps backward as she pulled a knife out of her back pocket just in case it did try to strike. She didn't have the best aim with throwing so she wasn't about to disarm herself with the chance of getting it. She heard the snake hiss as it dropped it's guard and headed off.
Kyori took in a breath and let it out then began to chuckle. "Well that was interesting!" She exclaimed with a smile, looking over at Leo and gave a wink. "Thanks for the warning. Now, on we go!" She looked forward again and began to continue on, now trying to keep a little sharper eye out for things around here.

Leo sighed the same way she did, only that his sounded a bit like he's tired rather than relieved. He observed how she reacted after the snake had gone off and Leo can't help but to feel intrigued of her smile when she thanked him of his warning. "You're...welcome."
He walked alongside her, silently for a moment, and stared far off into the distance. He figured that Kyori must have at least be on her guard after what happened, so he lets go of his and try to use that moment to think calmly without much worrying. "Do you use your knife often?"

Kyori was fine for a short time walking in silence then started to feel a little anxious by it, so she was happy when he finally said something. She looked at him with a bright smile. "I always have it ready in case I need it, but actually using it... well, that depends. " She said, looking down at her feet a moment as she took a few slightly wider steps for fun then looked at him with a smile again as she walked normally. "I use it more to cut through objects than people or creatures."

Leo nodded as she explained of her knife, question upon question piled up in his head. Though, he had learn from experience that bombarding people with so many questions is not good for his attempt on socializing without either scaring people or bored people to death. So its better he'll just let it go smoothly one by one.
"How long have you been traveling alone like this?" Most probably because of her answer about her knife not being in contact with living things that might likely hunt her down or something. "I'm...quite surprised you look just fine now."

Kyori continued walking, not really bothered by his questions but somewhat feeling bad for not having any questions yet to ask back. "About three years." She said in response after a moment of thought. She then smiled at him at his next comment. "I grew up learning to take care of myself in tough situations." She said with a wink of assurance before looking forward again as they continued.
She looked back at him after a moment. "What about you? How long have you been traveling?"

Leo shot her an odd gaze at Kyori's answer, but he doesn't seem to show much of anything else aside from blinking once or twice, and a nod. "I admire your strength, Kyori." He tried to smile, but managed a thin straight line on his lips instead.
He had expected of her question, and at this, he shrugged. "I'm...not particularly sure. Maybe as long as you." If he count out the years he got trapped inside a hidden chamber, that is. But unlike Kyori, his travels doesn't require any strength much, "So far, I've been lucky to not get caught up in life-threatening situations."
Thus is why he doesn't even own weapons. "Is there any reason you embark on your journey?" Everyone has a reason, it's just each of their individual cause is interesting to know.

Kyori smiled at him when he complimented her strength. When he went on about his life, it dropped slightly as she listened, a bit curious that he said he's not too sure but shrugging that off. "You mean like the one you were just in?" She questioned with a laugh, referring to him practically falling off the light house if not for being able to hang onto the bar and her helping him up.
When he asked her the next question, her eyes sort of glazed over and her smile dropped as she stared forward again while walking, looking down a bit as she thought. "Someone special to me left... and I couldn't stand to be where I was anymore..." She said, trying to mask the sadness she felt from it then looked up and took in and released a heaving breath. "I needed to go on a journey for myself." She said, finding a smile again and looking over at him with it even though her mind was still stuck back on Remi.

"Yes, exactly." Leo responded of her laugh. "I think my luck is slowly draining away since I escaped Gradia." His theory is possible, even though he doesn't believe in luck much. Sure he gets a threat or two from some random customer every day, but that was all really, nothing too dangerous like the one at the lighthouse.
He glanced at Kyori once she told him of her reason, and at this, Leo nodded slightly in acknowledgment. He walked over another hole, and after passing that, he faces Kyori just in time to see her smiling at him. Leo didn't return the gesture though, since he can see it from her eyes that she's not here.
"...Life is like that. People come, people goes. But those who left their footprints in your heart usually impacts the most." He stated, looking forward to see how far are they till they reached the town, and in the distance, a few blocks of small buildings could be seen. He turned to Kyori after his pause, and nodded, "That's a good reason to start your journey."

When he started speaking, Kyori lowered her head to watch where she was walking as he spoke while her smile faltered. She forward again as she took in another deep breath and attempted to reclaim her smile once more. "Yeah..." She responded with a seemingly heavy breath of air as she walked on, watching a bit above where she was walking.
She smiled at him again as he said her reason to journey was good. "Thank- woah!" She suddenly let out as her foot slipped into a hole, causing her to nearly fall if not for her other foot stepping in front of her fast enough to catch herself. She looked at her foot in the hole and tried to tug it out but was unsuccessful.
A slightly annoyed look appeared on her face as she looked down at it. "Really?" She asked her stuck foot as she tried to tug it again. She looked sheepishly at Leo a moment before looking back down at her foot. She glanced around herself then plopped down and tried with her hands to work her foot out of the hole.

Leo wasn't even fast enough to both warn her about the hole and to even give the appropriate reaction after she got herself stuck. All that was displayed on his face is a straight look and a blank stare. It took him literally a few moments to snap back and back to consciousness.
"Are you alright?" He called out to her, rushing to her side where she sat and examines her stuck foot. After a moment's pause, the artist said, "...Hold on, I think I have something that could help." He sets his canvas and its stand down on the ground, then rummages inside his bag.
When he got something out, it looks similarly to a regular lipstick...which is odd coming from a man's bag. Though, after Leo pulls off the lid, the inside of the 'lipstick' looks like a corkscrew of sorts. The lad then bent down to Kyori's foot and presses a button at the butt of his device to make the screw spiraling automatically.
He then impelled it to the side of the hole and moved it around the whole thing, though careful not to accidentally skin Kyori's foot off, and effectively widen the hole by about 2 inches from their initial form. After that, Leo stopped the corkscrew from spinning, and puts the lid back on it. "Try pulling your leg now."

"Yeah..." She absentmindedly responded to his questioning if she was alright. She looked up at him after as he said he may have something that would help and watched him with a curious look on her face, wondering what he could possibly carry around that would help.
Her eyebrows lifted a bit in surprise and question as he pulled out what looked to be a lipstick case though was revealed to be a kind of screw. She watched closely as he turned it on and broke up the dirt around her foot. "Woah..." She uttered a bit quietly then looked at her foot as he was finished and pulled her foot out, bits of dirt falling into the hole around it.
She smiled up at him as she put her feet next to each other, preparing to stand. "Hey, that was pretty cool!" She said with a slightly excited tone as she pushed her weight onto her feet and stood up. "Thanks!" She said with a bright smile thought a slight sheepishness within it, almost seeming to forget they were on their way to dinner.
