Rayl look over at Leo and then at the fuse box he was checking, though luckily no problem on the main switch. She suddenly look down at her mood ring and it still is a grey one. She felt anxious, though she doesn't even know why...
She paused and look at Leo whom asked if the house have a basement. She furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, the house have no basement, and she was sure of it because she have check the whole place. "Sadly... this place don't have any basement..." she answered and look at her flashlight. "I've checked the place before, and I assure you there is no basement." she added and sighed.
She paused again, she really can't help but have a doubt and a bad feeling at the place. Especially from that loud explosion of thunder or sort. "Maybe it's best... I'll go check outside and see if anything happens..."

Leo puts a hand on his chin, finding it strange that this house doesn't have a basement. Then why on earth is there a blackout? "Odd.." He began thinking of all the possibilities that might be the reason to it, but then was interrupted by Rayl's suggestion to check outside.
"W-wait!" Without a forewarning even to himself, Leo had instinctively called out. "..Um.. Do you want me to go with you?" He had to ask first, because maybe it's a bother for Raul if he comes along. Then again, he might just instantly freeze to death when stepping outside due to his pathetic immunity.
"What... What do you expect to find outside?" He can always grab whatever comforter he can find and wrap himself before rushing out, if Rayl allows him to.

Rayl paused from walking and look at the man in front of her. She wanted to take a stroll to where she saw Leo a few hours afo... and check to see if her assumptions were right. She knew the house that already belongs to her for a month. And Laslo have told her already that her place have no basement. So basically, the main fuse is to where she leads Leo awhile ago.
She look outside of the window pane, and saw a normal weather in the place. The storm subsided and there are no humid of coldness that a man couldn't take. "The storm subsided..." she murmured and look at Leo. "I have a coat that suit you, for you not to get cold," she added, she wanted to let him come with her; because she doesn't want Leo to be alone where she could not see the said male.
She went back at the guestroom and check for the closet and saw a black fur coat. Thick yet comfortable. She pick it up and went back at the Living Room, offering Leo the said coat. "Come with me,"
"I may need your help, Leo." she murmured quietly, a sudden blush appeared on her cheeks, looking away at Leo's gaze. Her mood ring have turned into the color of black. Tense she really was.

Leo turned to face the window the same second that Rayl announced the blizzard had lessened, and for that moment, the man almost beamed. "..Really..?" All this while, Rayl had always saved him, in more ways than one, so he felt indebted to her.
And it's also because he feels uncomfortable to know that she's out in the open and in danger's way. Though...Rayl is fully capable to defend herself, she's almost invulnerable. Leo himself however...
While Rayl is off to fetch him a coat, the artist is way down on himself deep in his mind. He can't even defend himself, much less fight. So being with Rayl out in danger will just slow her down, so he thought. She must have thought about this and considered herself, and her final decision to let him follow her is of best interest.
It surprised Leo when he was awoken from his trance to be greeted by Rayl and received the coat. "Thank you.." He nodded and did as Rayl said to follow her, but her next words rendered him quite speechless, especially since he just thought a few seconds ago of how useless he is.
"You..you do..?" He asks in slight surprise, meeting her eyes. "What..what can I possibly do to help you? I have no combat experience at all.." His voice is so faint in the end, it's almost in a whisper that he doubt Rayl can even hear him.
"Though, I'm happy if I can be of any use to you. How can I help?" He started wearing the jacket, and despite the usual poker-face expression he always wears, it's quite easy to detect how glad he seemed.

Rayl stopped, just as she opened the door. An exit of the warm place they have inside. Outside pours and seen nothing but white.
She look at Leo quietly, then look down, feeling a bit unease. An emotion that started to flooding in. She was unease, stress... and even worried to say the least. "I have... a feeling... about the explosion happened awhile ago," she let out quietly and shrugged her shoulders, biting her lower lip while sighing. She doesn't want Leo to be outside, but he may have the answer of what she doubts and thinks.
Was she afraid of what outcome would happen. "Yes... terribly afraid," she thought grimly and look at Leo once again.
She suddenly leaned at the door frame, she doesn't know what comes in her mind at the moment. But something in her gut feels something is not right. And her instinct is what makes her worry. "Leo-kun..." she suddenly let out, looking down. "C-Can you bring me... to where we've met awhile ago.?" she asks, her eyes haven't had the guts to look at him. "Lead me, to where you've place the bomb."

Leo stood behind Rayl, his head down as his chin and mouth has been completely buried in the turtleneck shirt he's wearing, plus the thick coat he's wearing over the shirt. She paused right at the door frame once she had opened the door, and Leo could feel the sting of the cold pricking his exposed skin.
A cloud of vapour escaped through the fabric of the turtleneck shirt, right where his mouth is. Every time he breathes, there's a mist of his breath escaping, so is when he's speaking since he still kept his head down, "Oh.. I see. So you thought that booming noise and the blackout before...was caused by my bomb..?"
In his mind, everything pointed to how impossible that is, but then again, he did fainted mid-way in creating that bomb, so there must be some malfunction due to its unfinished state.
When Rayl spoke again, her faint voice calling his name in such a familiar way made him twitched a bit in surprise, probably because she had never referred to him that way. This fact made him smile under the fabric of his collar, his eyelids fluttering wildly downwards as another cloud of breath escaped him.
At Rayl's request of him to bring her on where he had been before he had fainted, Leo's eyes darted upwards towards her, just about the same time when her eyes are casted downwards. "Of course," he answered after a pause, pulling his chin up and stared out the white blanketed atmosphere that is outside. He's still standing inside, since Rayl is at the door frame.
He pulled his left sleeve back a bit and pressed something on his wristwatch, and after staring at the surface of the watch a minute or two as if memorizing something, Leo finally sets off to the snowy grounds to the direction where the wristwatch had provided him. It actually gave him exact coordinates of it, so Leo was forced to find the bearings first, that's why he's taking so long with his watch before.
"You seem worried," he suddenly spoke as he walked, his head not even turning to look at the assassin. "Is there something the matter?" Now he turned to her, his blue eyes looked almost watery by how cold it is outside.

Rayl stood near the doorframe, as Leo started to step out of the house; she followed at his side. Her eyes held no emotion, but that was just a masked she was letting out. She doesn't want anyone, including Leo, to notice she was afraid?
An assassin getting afraid of something?
It might just sound stupid, pathetic and weak for someone like her. But she couldn't help but be afraid. It's as if her heart beat is rapidly beating, and she can't focused on what she was and will do.
She groaned at the sudden nervous sensation she was feeling. Looking at Leo whom suddenly stop and asks her a question. She sighed and look down, her ring started to glow a soft color of pinkish gray. If ever that would mix, yes... those two set of colors started to mix inside the ring.
Portraying what she really feels, showing what she really feels with the use of the ring.
She closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose; her ring was seen by Leo, though she never notices it. "It's nothing..." she let out and nodded to herself. "Just curious is all," she reasoned. Though that statement was a part true, and a part lie is that she never told him she's afraid and nervous.
In her gut, she could feel that something might terribly happen. And it's an instinct she needed to follow and be aware of. She's a former assassin and she knows what she feels. Though she never told Leo about it.
Once done pinching her nose, she looked up at him. "Let's go now," she murmured as she start to walk forward.

It can't just be nothing. Through the years of living with his mother in his early age, even as a child he could tell that whenever his mother answered 'nothing' means something. And that something is usually very big.
Still, he didn't want to force Rayl into stating out what bothers her. As much as Leo wanted to know, he respects her privacy and her reasons of decisions. He could only trust her sense of judgement and waits until she's ready to tell him whatever's been bothering her. Thus, for now, he fakes innocence and ignorance.
Just as he was done deciding that in his mind, Leo caught sight of the mood ring he had given Rayl. His eyes widened slightly at the colour it revealed. His eyes follows her hand even after she's done pinching her nose, and then quickly darts his attention away to not allow her in a state of suspicion.
'Can the colours mix like that? ...What was gray and pink again..?' As the artist thought of this, he was trapped within his mind again. Rayl had began to move, so he followed and started to walk also, towards the area where he had created his temperature-sensitive bomb.
As the winds of the snow blew against them softly with their steps leaving some frosty footprints behind them, Leo is safe within his own mind, contemplating on the current puzzle at hand; the colour of Rayl's mood ring.
'Gray and pink...' He reminded himself. '...Nervous and fear.' His memory clicked. Now that he understands what's bothering her, he then needs to figure out why. She's asking him to lead to where his bomb is, and she's afraid. Why?
"...Did you expected that my bomb exploded?" He questioned, eyeing her response as he asks so, hoping he'd got it right spot on.

She bit her bottom lip as she continued striding the path that leads to where she met Leo. Her heart beats faster and it annoys the hell out of her. "Why am I feeling this way?" she thought.
She was distracted when Leo pulled and halt her to stop as she look at him wide-eyed. "What are you-" she was stop in her tracks when Leo seem stated, rather than ask about what she feels at the sudden explosion.
She was damn nervous and afraid of what will happen. She was also afraid to tell it to Leo. She doesn't want to burden him of her thought and feelings of what she negatively thinks.
But... looking at those bland yet worried eyes. How could she ever life? She sighed and shook her hed, "It's nothing," she murmured, rubbing her arm with anxiety. It wouldn't hurt to tell how she feels right? And that's what she did, telling him what she feels.
"I have been thinking of it," she answered, looking away; her eyes never looking straight at Leo.
"I am feeling...-" she pause mid-track as she placed her hand at her chest, where her heart beats faster. "I started thinking of the possibility that it is your bomb that exploded," she explained, raising her head as she look at him. "And suddenly, I started feeling this... my heart continued to beat faster. I started to feel nervous, anxiety crawling down my nerves..." she, once again stop and sighed, looking away.
"And fear," she murmured lastly.

Leo's lips itched to curve into a smile at how utterly timid the assissin seemed like now, possibly contemplating in her head on whether to tell him on what's the matter or not. It's, to say the least, downright adorable.
While her eyes refused to gain contact with his, Leo is already immensely glad for she decided to tell him what she's thinking, and feeling. "Aaahhh... I see.." He sighed, his breath carried out a smooth cloud of vapour.
He stood in his spot for a short while after Rayl had murmured her worries and then slowly made his way towards her. Closing their distance, Leo placed a cold hand on her shoulder, patting his palm gently against her continuously.
"Calm your nerves..." His voice is slow and gentle, and then he slides his hand down her arm and closes his fingers around her hand, "Calm your heart." Leo nodded his head at her, trying to capture her eyes, "Don't be afraid. You've got a bomb expert here as your lover."
He smiled at her. His weak muscle tissues forbid him to smile as widely as a normal person would, yet his small smile shows as much appreciation as he's feeling right now. "You have saved me many times before, now it is my turn."
He brings her hand up in his so he could place his other hand on top of hers, entrapting her whole hand in both of his, "So don't you worry, I have this entirely under control." His smile is so small due to his weak cheek tissues, but its apparent that he's revealing this small smile only to her. "This is one of the fields that I am confident that I can do."
Thus, hand in hand, he led Rayl to where he had planted his bomb. The bomb is designed precisely due to temperature change, meaning it's wholly under control if the temperature remains cold, yet it will get pretty dangerous if there is heat nearby...like the body heat of a human.
Leo stopped in his tracks when he's a good distance away from the bomb-plant, because he sees something...or someone, laying on the ground.
It's a child. "...Oh god."

An invisible white owl flutters wildly around a lump of small body laying on the snowy ground. Celeste is hooting in alarm, trying awaken the small boy that lays motionless on the cold snow.
Sean breathes slowly through his mouth, seeming to have passed out entirely, right near where the bomb is supposedly planted. His large red cloak is batting with the harsh winds, almost flying off of his body.
His whole body is against the snow, his left cheek is almost frostbitten already by how long he's lying there. Despite this, the little boy looks so peaceful, almost as if he's only sleeping..

She blushed, quite ashamed and shy for the sudden emotion she have let out in front of him. But seeing his smile of appreciation. And that soft smile that makes her heart beats faster. She sighed, looking at those hands that entangled together with her.
She could feel the warmth emanating from his hand, in which surprisingly, didn't weaken her body nor her whole frame. Though it makes her more... real human, it makes her more to think positively.
Just as he was tugging both of them at the way. She looked at the back of her 'lover' on what he have stated to her. She smiled in great appreciation as both couple made her way to where her lover place the bomb.
They started walking, until Leo stopped in his tracks. Rayl looked at him confused as he murmured something. She looked forward, her eyes widening. She could see a cloth covered thing next to a child.
It shocked her, the kid they met awhile ago at her house.. is laying just a meter away from the bomb. "N-No..." she murmured, suddenly, without no sudden though; she walked aimlessly towards the child, yet her hands were entwined with Leo.

A loud blaring alarm was switched on in Leo's head. This could not be good, having a human so close to his bomb could possible diffuse it and a great explosion will occur. Immediately, his mind is going in all sorts of directions, trying to figure out what could he possibly do to save this child from being a victim of a bomb attack.
Before he could figure anything out, he could feel his hand being pulled closer to the child, towards the bomb. "Wait a moment, Rayl." He grasped her hand tighter to let Rayl know of the situation at hand, halting his steps so she would stop and listen first to what he has to say.
"That bomb... If it detects heat of any sort, especially of a human, it will explode." His voice is uncharacteristically shaking a bit, either due to the cold atmosphere or the fact that an innocent child is about to die exploding.
"I have an idea," he said, now more surely, and places his other hand atop of Rayl's, "Your body temperature is different of a human's, the bomb would not detect you. I believe it will be safer if you go, lift the child very carefully without any sudden movements and return him here where the explosion range wouldn't reach him.."
That's Part I of his plan. He wishes he can go with her, but his body temperature might amplify the kid's temperature and trigger the bomb to explode. Part II of his plan.....might just left him frostbitten for at least a week or will kill him entirely.
But Leo's not planning to uncover his next plan to Rayl until the child is safe first. "Can you do it?"

She was ready to go and aid the boy. She was ready to sacrifice herself for the boy, but a hand grasps hers tightly. She look at the man whom make her feel content and happy. She look at him with those confuse azure eyes.
He already knew what this half-breed of a lover was about to do. And he understand that she wanted to help and aid the boy, lying a few meters at the bomb.
Though confusion run into her mind, she could feel the nervous, anxiety feeling of her lover. She suddenly look down at their link hands, her ring glows in pink and gray, just as it did awhile ago. But now, it's not hers... it's his emotion.
She look at him calmly, closing the gap at their body by stepping forward to him. She leaned her palm at his cheeks. "We can save the kid... Leo" she murmured, looking at him in the eyes. "Believe me, hm?" she added.
A few seconds after that, she leaned her lips softly to him; as it ended just after they realized it. "Don't do anything reckless, though... Leo," she lastly let out as she turned her back to him. Facing forward at the boy's view.
Her eyes narrowed looking at the place of the bomb and the boy, together with the owl hooting; circling the boy above.

Leo, although rather emotionless and expressionless most of the time, is going all out with his feelings right now. His eyebrows are creasing worriedly, his eyes held an obvious amount of fear and his lips are curled in a concerning frown.
He looks like he almost wanted to cry, actually, and it's quite rare to see such an expression on Leo's face. His grip on the snow maiden's hand tightens slightly as he stared at her and studying her confused eyes.
Leo doesn't say anything, but he's thoroughly surprised when Rayl suddenly approached him and touches the side of his face. His eyes widened at her action, and at her words, Leo swallowed his spit that had been stuck in his throat for the longest time. He looked downwards for a while, genuinely worried of what's going to happen, and then darted his eyes up to meet her pair of sapphires.
Just as he was opening his mouth to respond, Rayl suddenly closes the distance between them and granted him a kiss, as quick as it is. Leo was left completely dumbfounded after the sudden kiss and just managed to stare at her as she turned around and has her back facing him.
"Be careful.." Leo called out to her after a bit of pause. He released a breath he never knew he was holding and nodded, "We can save the child. I believe in you."
All she needs to do is to just approach Sean and pick him up and return back here to the a safe distance safely. Next, after her part is done, Leo must collect his courage and diffuse his bomb with Rayl's help in dropping his own body temperature.
At least, that's what he plans.
