Roy replied with a smile, a complacent but amused one at the same time, after all she realized right away what he was aiming for. So he continued to watch her doing until his clothes were perfectly dry again.
He was feeling weird all over his skin. Kind of itchy, but not really itchy at all. He guessed its supposed to feel like that when you just have been standing in drenched clothes a second before and then not anymore.
When he brought his hair back in order again with his hand, he gave Kida a slight glance and wondered how her hair must look like when its dry. "Don't you dry yourself? ...Or are you just used to walk around like that?" He didn't mean it as an insult, but it wasn't even that far of a guess, after all water is her element.
"Me? Well, I just started to climb this morning." Speaking of it, he was wondering how late it would be, after all he can't see the sky through these clouds. "I don't see this trip as usual training like you though. Its more like... going kinda extreme for a matter of change, you know?"

"No, I just as well rather not at the moment. I plan on going back out there shortly anyway." She didn't mind being wet if she was just going to get wet again later. Hell, this was still world better then being drenched in the middle of a theme park. Bastard fake pirates.
"Oh, well, this isn't usual for me. Normally I don't train so....hmn, radically? Yeah, I guess that word fits." Absently, Kida began toying with a lock of her wet hair. She would never realize, as so many others had over time, that she had a habit of fidgeting. "Usually I train on the beaches in Fijion. Loads of salt water if necessary." Plus, the more you sweat, the more work you feel you've done which was always nice for the ego.
"Are you planning on just turning around then? Going back home tonight?" She was, but at this point she was used to traveling all over God's green earth.

"Oh really?" Roy asked and barely managed to keep his voice in a neutral tone. "Well, I don't intend to hold you back from your training." To be honest, he was quite happy that he ran into somebody, but she really seems like she wants to depart pretty soon again.
Nodding at her explanations, Roy leaned against a wall eyeing Kida how she was playing with her hair. "Fijion? That are the tropical islands, aren't they?" Roy asked. He hasn't been there yet, since the hot weather wasn't really something he enjoys. "I haven't been there yet.. and not really planning to go either." There was nothing more troublesome than sun burning on your skin and your clothes soaked wet in sweat... while you are doing nothing but just relaxing.
"Well, thats the plan. I didn't intend to camp on here like I said earlier. What are you having in mind? How long are you planning to keep training?" Roy asked the black haired, and was really liking the idea of teaming up. But Kida seemed more like being a lonesome rider than a team person.

"You should change your plans then." Kida chuckled. "I know I'm biased and all, but I love it there. It's like a vacation 24/7. ...Sort of." A girl had to work after all. The fact that she lived on the islands but worked on the plains sucked, but that was life. "If it ever gets too hot you can just migrate else where for a while."
"I do that a lot. I've sort of gotten used to traveling all over the place." Kida would still admit that from time to time she really craved the transportation of a dragon. A full-sized dragon. As much as she loved Bec, she couldn't take the little fire-lizard everywhere. Then again, she supposed she couldn't do that with a full sized dragon either.
"Well, I was pretty much done with my training." she replied. "So if you need help getting around here I've got some time." Sure, the fact that it was storming and dark out (aside from the flashes of lightning) didn't make it exactly ideal for hard core hiking. But that was the fun.

Since she basically asked him to stay here, the one way or another, Roy had no problem with joining her, obviously. Next to that, it wasn't like he had any other plans. "Alright then, plans changed. Nothing's easier than that." he laughed out, accompanied by a loud roaring thunder.
"Looks like we gonna swim soon again." he added grinning, before continuing to catch up with the conversation. "Well, in fact I have been traveling a lot too. To be honest, I hardly do anything else. The hot places are just not that appealing to me." Now that he thinks about it, he seemed like being a hypocite. Calling himself an adventurer, but not checking out any hot places at all.
'Next time it will be a culcano then...' he thought to himself. But he shouldn't worry about her words too much, after all she has also said that adventuring is cheesy.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I don't need any help. That doesn't change the fact that I would enjoy traveling with you though." His last sentence quite made it, but he couldn't help it to feel kind of offended. Did he really look that helpless?

Kida caught the slightest tinge of edge in his last words and bit down on her tongue. Without even being consciously aware she knew her tongue would have some sort of retort. She hadn't meant to sound insulting, but she realized that's how it looked. Her real objective by saying it in such a way had not been to make him look helpless, but rather to ensure that he didn't think she was. Yes, because tons of helpless women train in the middle of a storm, You idiot.
She fought back a twitch as the little voice in her head chastised her. "You should go to Tenka if you dislike the heat. All snow all the time there." Kida preferred sweating to freezing her ass off.
"Well which way are you headed? I mean...heading in the same direction would be nice if we're going together. I'm heading towards Sougen." Kida pushed herself off the wall to look out of the crevice for a moment. The storm was just as it had been and that suited her fine. She, though, that by the time she got home she'd be really to collapse in bed. "Don't worry. I won't let you drown." Kida chuckled and gave Roy a wink.

Roy thought he could see her being startled a little, but maybe it was just the flash of a lightnings fault that made it appear that way. Roy was already used to the fact that he seemed to take small signs like that really serious and it could bother him for quite a while to rack his brain about it.
But when Kida finally spoke again he just shook off the thoughts. "Yeah, but freezing to death isn't exactly an option too." he replied grinning. "I think something in between would be the best, but on the other hand, the weather isn't something that keeps me back inside a house or something."
"Sougen? Are those the prairies?" he asked with a head tilt. To be honest he didn't think about where to head to after getting of this rock, after all he first had to come down again to do so. "Well, I heard the weather is nice down there." Roy joked, but instantly bit his lip. Why on earth was he talking about the weather all the time? He should better not wonder for the reasons if she suddenly drops him somewhere because he wasn't interesting enough.
This time though Roy could detect, or at least thought so, that Kida was just joking around with him, especially with that wink of hers. So he coulddn't help to totally jump for it. "Oh yeah, you should better be careful that you don't fall back too far behind me." Then followed her gesture with a grin on his face.

"Pfft. Uh, who found who up here, huh?" Fall behind, what a fat lotta nonsense. Kida didn't fall behind anyone! ...Except for maybe her brother a time or two, but that was besides the point. Darel and she shared the same DNA so if won, so did she. That was Kida's story and she was sticking to it.
"I might have been up here for hours, but I can assure you I will not fall behind. Even if I was tired I'm competitive to boot." Which meant she wasn't about to let some guy she hadn't met before beat her. Not that it was a race or a challenge or anything. Yet. If this were someone like Zephel or Takato Kida would probably have waved it off since she knew them so well. Not to mention Zephel probably wouldn't care anyway.
"So if you're going that way, I'll be on the road with you."

Kida raised her voice and even if it was just a a joke it was clearly to see that her ego has been scratched indeed. Maybe Roy did go a bit overboard here, after all the two of them just have met. For Roy at least messing around like this was a good way to build up a bond, but not everybody was ticking the same way.
He marked in his head that Kida really doesn't want to be pushed into the second row."Sorry, I am just messing with you." Roy replied with a slight bow of his head now that he stood next to her. "Also, we don't really have to make a race out of it, do we?" Giving it a second thought he quickly added though "...only if you want that is."
Roy gave her a serious look, worried about the offer he just made, but also curious about what else Kida could do with her water bending powers. From her looks and the training she did up here she surely looked tough, theres no denying it. "Then, its Sougen I guess."

"Doesn't have to be." she shrugged. There was no point in saying they would be together if it was a race. And competitive though she might be (was, very much was) the more logical part of her brain insisted there was no point in challenging a guy she'd never met before who was just trying to be nice. Note to Self: Calm the hell down. Kida was in a weird state as the result of her exercise, somewhere between wired and totally relaxed. Occasionally she could feel herself jump from one to the other, then settle in between again.
Various muscles in protest were sending messages to Kida's brain for some relief. She had forgotten her cool down stretches after a long days training and nothing was more necessary at that point. "Do you mind if I finish something before we go?" The cool down might serve to relieve some of the left over energy that was making her go wonky like a ball in a pinball machine. "I just realized I forgot my finishing stretches. I'll be quick if you're in a hurry to get to dryer climates."

"Alright then." You could almost hear a faint sound of relief in his voice. Its not like he was afraid of the challenge but at the moment he really prefered a more relaxed way of traveling. He just enjoyed the little break inside that gap too much it seems.
To avoid staring at Kida for too long he let his eyes travel out of the gap again. Not that he had a problem with it, but what girl likes a guy whose eyes are permanently darted on her. Next to that she looked kind of... strained since they both got in here.
The rain settled down a bit but there was still no end in sight. They sure had a long way to go. "Huh? Oh sure, go ahead." To be honest, since Roy was all dry because of Kida it was hard to step out just to become completely soaked again. "You shouldn't have dried my clothes. I start to feel all comfortable again." He said jokingly and leaned against the wall to check once in a while if Kida is done already.

"Pfft, sorry. I can soak you again if you want." she smirked. Kida had raised her arms over her head and was rolling her neck. Every muscle needed attending to, at least a little. And with such a small space she might as well work with her upper body first as it didn't take up so much room. A few more neck rolls, some finishing arm stretches and then she stretched her sides out by spreading her stance and leaning down to touch her toes on each side. Then to the middle.
Finally she had to move out of the gap once more so she could finish stretching her legs. "Just a sec and I'll be done." A slight chill ran down her spine when she had stepped back out into the rain and if felt good, a little soothing. After bending and extending her legs in all different directions to make sure she got all her muscles Kida jumped up and clapped. "Haza! All finished." She walked back to grab her pack and gave Roy a thumbs up. "You ready?"

Lifting a finger into the air he replied smirking. "If the rain didn't do it anyway, then I would probably let you." Then Roy leaned with his back at the rock wall and was waiting for Kida to finish her stretches without a word to make her hurry.
This time he took a closer look at her though, after all there is always the chance that you could learn something. After she returned to get her stuff, Roy pushed himself away from the wall. "Ready when you are." He exclaimed with a wink and stepped out of the gap.
The rain was instantly soaking his clothes again and a shiver came over him. 'For Kida it must surely feel like some kind of embrace.' Roy thought, hoping that he won't catch a cold because of that.
He turned into the direction that lay at the opposite from where he came earlier because he didn't want to go back the same way. Turning to Kida he pointed towards the rocky path with a questioning look on his face, because talking through signs was easier than words again.

Looking in the direction that Roy was motioning to, Kida took a minute to survey. It seemed like the path she had taken to get to this spot earlier. However, Kida didn't feel sure because it felt as if she had journeyed here such a long time ago. In the end, it was the only other way aside from the direction Roy had taken so Kida gave a nod and a thumbs up.
To the look of things it would take them a fair amount of time to get to even ground. More so if the storm got rough enough to interfere. As of yet, the wind wasn't enough to push against their bodies and Kida hoped it stayed that way. Just as much as she hoped the lightning and thunder would stay in the distance.
"Watch your footing." Kida called out. "I almost killed myself a couple of times." Kida was of course exaggerating, meaning that she had only come close to tripping a few times. The threat could be real, however, if they slipped enough to fall off the edge of the path that wound around and down to even ground.

Slowly moving one foot after another he turned around at Kidas warning. "I feel with you." He replied grinning, which made it impossible to judge how serious his former accidents on these cliffs have been. Then he turned around again.
The rain was still falling, and any stone could be their last step. But at least the lightnings seem to have traveled away from them. Roy made a few small jumps to pass a stony part until bigger stones were plastering their way again. At its end he turned around to check if Kida was still behind him and how far she was actually away.
They actually just started traveling, but Roy was already missing the chance for a conversation. But hey, he was already traveling together with a nice person person and Roy doubted that they would have grown together that fast if they had met in any other circumstances.
