(Note: Refer to Night Shift if needed to see how Mitsuko was assigned here.)
Mitsuko was being driven to her assigned place of work for the next few days and on the way there Zero and Mitsuko said nothing verbally to each other but their eyes said everything when they looked at each other. They supported and loved each other dearly, but they both hated the situation, and there wasn’t a solution. Their only option was to see it through and hoped for the best in that by the end of her last day of providing in-patient care at this notorious prison, Mitsuko would come out of it safely and in one piece. IF she didn’t then god help the person who thought this assignment was good idea. IF this turned out badly Zero wouldn’t hesitate to shoot his gun and his intense blue eyes will burn that person’s soul once he stared at them. Mitsuko could feel how angry Zero was but here he is still driving her to where she had to be.
Mitsuko knew that her husband understood how much she had to let go of in the last few years and didn’t want to lose her job. The job that meant so much to her. He loved her that’s why he was still driving her even though he angel could feel how terrified he was. She rested her cheek against his back as he drove her on his motorcycle, and normally she would be scared of riding with him because of how fast he goes sometimes, but today was different. She wanted to tap into as much courage as she possibly could. She will survive this-- She was trained as a bounty hunter by Zero himself many years ago so she still remembers what he taught her in terms of self defense. He taught her everything he knows. But still, she could feel Zero’s worry underneath his anger.
It was a long drive from Sougen to Justice Peak so they had a long time to entertain worrisome thoughts but as the saying goes: ‘The best way out is through.’ Sometime later when they got to Justice Peak Mitsuko got off of Zero’s bike carefully with his assistance and from there the couple shared a really long hug. When they finally broke the hug, Mitsuko gave Zero the manilla envelope which contained her Will. “Here… I need to give you this just in case..” When Mitsuko glanced at the fortress, it looked absolutely terrifying and her eyes showed how scared she truly was. Her true feelings most likely didn’t escape Zero’s notice. She also had to get her medical supplies from Hunter which he helped to bring up here while Zero drove her.

Throughout the ride towards the dangerous towering prison atop a mountain that is Justice Peak, Zero's hands are shaking as he held tighter onto the handles of his motorcycle. He wishes he could understand the thought process of his wife's supervisor for him to send Mitsuko to such a place for a few days, alone, without providing her any protection. This has to be against workers' rights or something, and if something happened to her, she is absolutely liable to press charges against the whole hospital and get that dipshit fired.
The terrain of the area is difficult to drive through, so Zero drives slowly, if only to spend every precious second with his beloved wife. He has so much to say to her throughout the journey, but he dreads the fear would show in his voice. He understands he needs to be strong for her, so she could be strong herself through this difficult predicament.
From his rearview mirror, he glanced over at Mitsuko. He couldn't see her face well due to her helmet, but he can tell she's trembling by her hold of him. He wishes he can comfort her, but his priority right now is to get her to her intended destination. He can also see Hunter's vehicle trailing closely behind them, glad Miki has the support of people close to her from the bounty hunting community.
Once they've arrived at the compounds of the prison, Zero took off his helmet before helping his wife off his bike and unbuckled her helmet. The creases in his eyebrows returned once he could see her frightened blue eyes staring at him and he immediately hugs her for an extended amount of time, stroking her hair over and over as he does so. At this point, Zero only thought of prayers in his thoughts mainly of her safety and peace of mind. He's not a deeply religious person, but Mitsuko was such a huge turning point in his life that he began to believe in a higher power shortly after he met her.
After Mitsuko broke the hug, she hands over a manilla envelope to him. Zero peers into her eyes in clear worry upon receiving it. "Miki... What's this..?" He can see how frightened she is and decided to worry about the envelope later, putting it atop his motorcycle seat. He then reaches out for her hand to hold firmly, a small form of support. "Hey, listen... Are you sure about this? I'm not questioning your decision, in fact I believe in you with all my heart, I trained you after all.. It's just... I have a very bad feeling about this." He squeezes his hold of her hand. Very few things can scare him, and his family being in danger is at the top of the list. It's even more terrifying when he can do absolutely nothing about it.

A few days ago, Hunter had received a call from his good friend and resident healer Mitsuko to assist her in transporting her medical supplies up to Justice Peak. Once he questioned what she would be doing there, her answer all but worried Hunter.
Still, once the day arrives, Hunter had brought Jean and Eve with him in his four-wheeler alongside the supplies Mitsuko asked him to transport. He primarily works to transport weapons under Faun for years, so transporting medical provisions sounds much easier than what he was used to.
With Jean beside him on the passenger seat, Hunter tried to ask the chief whether they can do anything to stop the angel from going through such a dangerous job. Especially considering her recent discovery that she has depression and was having trouble communicating her feelings. The senior bounty hunter just feels like this isn't good for her well-being overall. He then looked over towards Eve from the mirror, "And what do you think, Eve? You're closer to her when she does her personal affairs. Do you feel like this is the right thing...?"
Hunter understands that some jobs requires you to stake your life to save another, his own job being one of it. So he gets it. He understands Mitsuko's drive to push through this with her own goodness of heart. Still, there are limits of what one person can do, and Hunter genuinely thinks this is too much for the angel alone to handle. He'd be more open to the idea if she has at least one other person with her. Doing such jobs solo is not only dangerous but irresponsible, and he can only blame her boss for deciding such a dumb thing.
After arriving at the location, Hunter could see Mitsuko and Zero already there waiting for them. Once he parks, he asks Eve to assist Jean outside of the vehicle towards the couple. He himself makes his way to the back of his four-wheeler to fetch Mitsuko's supplies for her.
After making sure he got everything, he approaches the group with the supplies in his hands and puts the bag beside the angel. "Hey Miki. How you feelin'?" Without his usual light-hearted smile, Hunter's concern is palpable, but he still tries to speak in an easygoing manner to relieve some tension in the air.

Mitsuko’s eyes didn’t betray her feelings. In the Cipher family they always looked at each other’s eyes because it told them what they needed to know. The truth. Justice Peak was terrifying. It was hell on earth, but people still lived there-- including other supernatural beings. Life is life and Mitsuko will help as many as she could, and IF there were demons in there she’d help them too especially children. When Zero asked her if she was sure about this, she squeezed his hand and gave him an answer before speaking with Hunter and getting her medical supplies. “You trained me very well Zero. Being a bounty hunter even though it was temporary, served a purpose. While bounty hunting isn’t a good career for me, what it taught me was serious survival skills. I’m not going down without a fight. What YOU taught me could very well save my life in this prison." ‘But just in case, I wrote out a legal document so that you know how to take care of things in my absence. Especially our children. If I don’t make it out…’ Her thoughts trailed off and then she went over to Hunter and hugged him as a thank you for helping out today.
“I’m okay. I haven’t been at Justice Peak for years. I uhh.. bumped into Syani here. We started casually chatting about things, not really caring that we could have been in danger while we spoke with one another, and then she teleported us to safety after our long conversation. My son was terrified when he heard that his aunt and I just struck up a conversation at this place without a care in the world. He even stressed certain words to get his point across. Matthew is pretty funny, I started laughing when he did that. Haha.” Mitsuko gently picked up her bag, and then she noticed Jean’s face, but before Jean and her had a conversation, he had to give Zero a heads up about something. It wasn’t to alarm Zero anymore than he was already, but it was something that this husband had to keep in mind, the minute Mitsuko steps foot in the prison.

Eve then answered Hunter’s question. “I feel like it’s a real shitty situation all the way ‘round. But this is important to Miki. No matter how scary this is, she has a heart of a nurse through and through, she studied real hard to get her license. Even more so when she turned in her bounty hunter equipment. She deserved a career too, so she worked her ass off for it. If this is where her job has led her today then we have to trust that she can get through this.” Eve was concerned for Mitsuko though. Everyone was. “But if something does get screwed up along the way, we are there to help her out. She has us regardless. But asking her not to do her job would be like asking her to betray her heart.”

“Zero? A word please?” When Zero came over to him Jean started speaking very seriously. “When Miki is finished her shift at this prison, I want you to make sure she gets medically checked out. Do you understand what I’m saying son? This isn’t to scare you but I need you to put as much precautions in place for your wife. It’s not about the lack of trust, training, or Mitsuko’s ability to take care of herself. This prison is bad news and we need to take care of her the minute she returns to us. Is that understood?” ‘I have a really bad feeling about this. I… feel like we are going to lose her for a while and it’s sending a bad chill up my neck.’
When Mitsuko came to hug Jean, Jean’s softness briefly returned just for her. He didn’t want her lasting image of her adopted dad to be one of fear. “Miki? Be careful.”

Mitsuko responded kindly. “I will. I’ve got this. I’ve been trained by the very best.” She looked over at Zero when she said that. “I was trained by my husband. Who I absolutely love.“ ‘And who I will really miss.’ In her mind she was ready to do what she had to. But her heart didn’t want to say goodbye to her family. So she didn’t say goodbye. “Trust me.” She then shared a long embrace with Zero, and kissed him with such a passion that even he could read between the lines that said I love you, thank you, and see you soon. “Remember. Your watches. The ones I dubbed the angel glass. I know it’s silly but remember their function! It’s not just a watch. It’s to communicate in case of an emergency. Especially during supernatural situations like this one may turn out to be. I’m prepared.”

Just then Matthew came flying in and boy was he ever upset. His mom having to work at a place like this frightened him. When Mitsuko saw her son she didn’t question why he was there. She knew why. “Mom! If you go in there you may never come back out! I came to stop you! Mom…Please don’t go in there. How can your job be more important than me or your family?!”

Mitsuko went over and hugged her boy. “Baby, I understand your feelings. In fact, I understand everyone’s feelings that have expressed concern over my decision to take this assignment. My job isn’t more important than you or our family. What is important to me though is helping people who may not have the same blessing of a family. Of love and support. People who are criminals here have lost their way. Some people do turn over a new leaf, and when they decide to do so, they need someone to help them. I understand that not everyone is good in this prison and some do deserve to be sentenced here. But then there are other souls that are lost. And I am a nurse. I have to preserve life. Just like I did for you when you were shot.” She hugged her son tighter. “I love you. And you and your dad are men of the household now. So take care of your sister and each other. Please.”
The angel then looked at each of her family members with conviction in her blue eyes and off she went into the scary looking fortress once she was called. She did see a few other colleagues of hers but they were all assigned separately. Once she and a few colleagues were in the fortress the door locked behind them. The prison was absolutely terrifying, but as Mitsuko walked the long hallways she could tell that some people did need her assistance, and that is what she did. She went to work immediately, and hours began to pass-- time did fly by the busier you became after all. Mitsuko even helped a teen that had a mix of devil and angelic blood in them. She didn’t judge. She was kind, no matter how scared she was to be apart from her husband and family.

[time skip: At Bounty hunter HQ]
Jean had suggested that the family stay at HQ since they would be geographically close to Mitsuko if something happened to her. Hours began to pass slowly and then Matthew after being quiet for so long freaked out at his dad. “MOM’s IN THERE DAD! She could be killed or worse! Why couldn't you just say no to her?! Tell her not to go in there?! It’s been hours already! I tried calling her on her watch and it’s just giving me static! I tried calling her phone and it’s off! Wouldn’t she have checked in already?! Don’t they get breaks and shit? Knowing mom she probably gave you her stupid will in that envelope.” Matthew was scared and it showed in his behavior and facial expressions. He also couldn’t feel his mother’s energy. Something was wrong and he knew it.
”Can’t someone do something? Like check in on her? Something’s WRONG. I know it and I can feel it, but I can’t feel her energy.. Mom gets busy as a nurse but too busy for her family? That never happens! Mom ALWAYS makes time for us. To talk to us. And even when she's busy I can still feel her energy!” Matthew pleaded, Cried even. His voice cracked. He didn't mean to yell at his father but he was just scared. Really scared.

When Jean’s grandson made a huge scene with his father because of fear, and worry which of course was understandable Jean put two hands on each of Matthew’s shoulders to calm him down, but also spoke in a very stern tone to him, and he was also a pissed off grandfather because tensions were high at this point. The Cipher family hadn’t been through shit for years, until now. This wasn’t to invalidate his grandson’s feelings, but Matthew had to understand Zero’s feelings too, and Jean was going to share that with him. “That’s ENOUGH Matthew.” Jean cleared his throat and apologized. "Sorry. We are all concerned for your mother’s safety, believe me when I say that your father didn’t want to drive her to that prison, but your parents have such a long history together, one that goes back to even before you were born.” Jean paused and made eye contact with Zero and could see that he was absolutely terrified for his wife, Zero just couldn’t lose Mitsuko.
No matter how independent these two were from each other and had their own careers and such, Mitsuko was the love of Zero’s life, and the thought of losing his partner was painful. So painful in fact that Jean saw Zero’s face drain of all its color and that was a clear sign that he was about to be sick. Jean could see that Zero was already grief stricken. His mind had went to that dark place, that he began to throw up in a trash can while cussing in between.
Jean then started to share the history between Matthew’s parents but glanced at Zero a few times while sharing the story. “You already know a part of your parents love story, but do you truly know all of it? There are some things that they don’t share with anyone because those memories are so precious to them. Memories that they share among each other. But first. Back to the beginning.” Jean looked at his grandson seriously in the eyes. “I first heard about your mother when your father came back from a mission one day and had told me that he heard whisperers of a young woman that lived in the domain. Your father’s eyes shown a great deal of happiness that I hadn’t seen in such a long time. Or rather never. Your father almost always had a scowl on his face, so when he learned about your mother and how she could be nearby, it was as if this new life had bloomed within his soul. Sure, the information that he heard wasn’t checked out yet, but for your father it was everything he was hoping to hear. Your father explained that this young woman that he was searching for was a major turning point in his life and he wanted to see her again. So.. so badly.” Jean paused for a minute before continuing to make sure Zero was alright.
They both made eye contact and then Jean continued on. “Your father looked so happy that your mother was more than likely closer than he thought, after so many years apart your father and mother were finally in the same place! The same continent. Still separated and far apart but close all at the same time. Well, one day your father was on a mission to take down a bad guy that was responsible for hurting and taking advantage of children, but the bastard was a slippery snake, and made your father chase him down, on FOOT all the way to Ida Valley. When the mission was completed, your father had gotten lost.. and that’s when he saw your mother.” Jean’s serious and pissed off look didn’t leave his face. He really needed Matthew to understand all points of view right now. Jean was mad because they couldn’t do anything yet, they were sitting ducks at the moment.
Jean paused once more and looked at Zero. He could tell that just by sharing this story with Matthew, Zero had calmed down just a little. "..hiding behind a tree as she called out to him. Your father had noticed how beautiful she was, but was confused as to why she was hiding behind a tree. And course the person that happened to be chasing HER was that demonic prince that shot you. Your father and mother teamed up, and reunited. From that day on they were never apart. Even their phone calls would go on into the late hours of the night. So you see Matt… being apart permanently before old age isn’t something your dad wants to think about. It’s not natural. Your parents have their WHOLE lives together, and they are only in their thirties. If your mother was taken from your father, if her life was stolen, it just wouldn’t’ be right. It wouldn’t feel right.” Even though Zero prioritizes Mitsuko, he wouldn't damn well give her up without a fight.
Jean looked at Zero dead serious for this next part. “If something has gone wrong in the prison we are all busting in there and going to look for your mother. But IF she were to fade away, she’d always be a part of your father’s memory, and yours, and your sister’s. That’s how much of an impact your mother has made to the people around her. It wasn’t to get praise or brownie points, or to get people to adore her. She was herself. Even Syani told you the other day that your own aunt was unapologetically herself. Well? Faults and all your mother is trying to practice the same thing, and trying her best not to over apologize, especially when she doesn’t need to. She chose to take this assignment, but getting mad at your mother or your father over it is NOT going to help anything.” Jean then cleared his throat some more, it was feeling dry.

Meanwhile, at Justice Peak it was a fight for life, it was a total disaster in there because the prisoners were unruly, and all hell broke loose. Mitsuko defended herself quite well, and that was a result to Zero training her. In this prison the angel was able to tap into the true strength she had, and she wasn’t a damsel in distress. She wasn’t going to wait for her husband to like crash his motorcycle through the window to her rescue-- now it’s not to say he wouldn’t do it but Mitsuko couldn’t wait for his assistance. The whole point of him training her was so that she would be able to adapt to bloody and hellish situations that she wasn’t accustomed to like he was. The world wasn’t so innocent that she was brought up believing, and as a nurse she had seen heartbreaking situations with children. It was a part of her work.
Mitsuko was still herself, but Zero helped her grow stronger and taught her what he knew so that she could protect herself. To preserve her own life. To put on her own oxygen mask before helping others. The other reason he trained her was so she would be able to come home alive. The angel was much more agile on her feet thanks to the training, and she knew where to strike, to take down a enemy that was intent to do her harm or her colleagues harm. She was the protector of those that were working with her at this prison. In the corner of her eye she saw her colleague Madam May injured and the angel immediately went to her aid once she saw an opening. The other thing Zero had taught her during their training sessions was to keep emotions in check as much as possible. Her husband knew that she wasn’t a stoic person, but if she started crying while she was trying to protect someone else, then her defenses will be weakened considerably which would put her and the protected in more danger. She could express emotions once it was safe to do so.
Once Mitsuko reached her friend and colleague Madam May stumbled and collapsed in her arms, and Mitsuko stabilized her with her healing ability. But from what Mitsuko could tell from her medical training Madam May was wounded badly. The only thing Mitsuko could do for her was protect her colleague, and keep her safe and comfortable. “You’re safe May. No one is going to come at us for now since I cut down their numbers. I bought us time. I’m so sorry that we had to be in a place like this together. You’re not alone. I’m right here with you. Huh?” And the angel had missed one demonic prisoner, and quickly she spun around while she protected Madam May, and angelically barbecued its ass.
During the fight this would be the song lyrics if a song was played during it.
I will rise in resistance Sing the oath of rebellion End cease-fire on this high wire
Head to toe in vanity When those eyes in the mirror stare back at me I’m reminded that the ghost of pride is clear to see
Wipe away the weakness Will you let those scars define you? Or will they adorn you as we carve our way to victory? Doubt is crying out but I refuse to let it drown me Wearing down my fight till nothing’s left
I SAY CRIER I SAY LIAR I SAY RISE IN HELL
I stand gazing down at death as they say … WAR
I’LL WAGE WAR I HATE WAR
They say fight for peace… but what is that?
Raise a shield to the bullets Hold my ground, all I got now But I’m defenseless, all but helpless if it gives beneath my feet
I turn from the mirror, that desperate plea I refuse and can’t believe those eyes belong to me
Come on, one more breath My ravaged voice betrays me mid-shout Will you never hear those final words I failed to choke out?
I tried to survive by putting all my faith in instinct But now I regret – what have I done?
I SAY CRIER I SAY LIAR I SAY RISE IN HELL
I am just about to BURST as they say … WAR
I’LL WAGE WAR I HATE WAR
There’s no end to this, can’t you see that? A cowardly façade weaves into my voice
As I call for war, blinded by this far-fetched noble cause Although I had a choice, I believed the lies But it’s all a dream, ending when I open up my eyes
Come on, one more breath My ravaged voice betrays me mid-shout Will you never hear those final words I failed to choke out?
I tried to survive by putting all my faith in instinct But now I regret – what have I done?
I SAY CRIER I SAY LIAR I SAY RISE IN HELL I stand gazing down at death as they say … WAR
I’LL WAGE WAR I HATE WAR
They say fight for peace… Does it exist? My hand, can you reach it? My cry, can you hear it? Can you, can you tell me if this “dream” was worth it?
My hand, can you reach it? My cry, can you hear it? Can you, can you help me? Wake me from this nightmare
“Phew. My powers are mainly healing and defensive types, but thankfully I have I learned this offensive type as I was training with Zero. It’s not used often, but it’s there if I need it.”

Neji had heard what about what was going on at Justice Peak and so he decided to investigate the area, and what he found shocked him. Mitsuko fighting a demon and shielding what looked like to be a colleague. He was amazed at how strong she had become, and while he understood that she no longer wanted any contact with him due to the ending of their relationship, her being married and having a family and for her own mental health, he still had to help her. They did share a hug at the end of their final conversation at the Garden of Dreams, so that indicated there were no hard feelings between them. Just a mutual respect remained since they finally talked about their relationship ending many decades ago, and a small part of them will always love each other due to their shared history as teens- but only a small part. Neji knew that he wasn’t the right partner for Mitsuko, but he could at least assist her for the time being.
The crafty ninja broke in the prison through a glass window and fought off some of the demonic prisoners along the way to Mitsuko, once he got to her he could tell that she had sustained an injury and he immediately began putting pressure on it to stop her from losing blood due to the open wound. “I respect your boundaries Michi. But this is a matter of life and death. I have to cross some boundaries just to help you sustain your life alright? While you help your injured colleague I’ll help stop you from collapsing. Using your powers like this will drain you the longer this goes on.”

If one has dealt with abuse in their life, it takes incredible courage to stand up for oneself as much as it takes active work to be kind. Throughout her life, Mitsuko chooses over and over again to treat the people around her with kindness. The angel has the courage to not only stand up for herself, but also to do it with kindness. It goes hand-in-hand in her core, it is something Zero understands in a raw level; her kindness is her strength. Even if he begs her to not take this job, her kindness would not allow it.
This is why he lets her go. He has no other choice but to believe in her, despite the utter anxiousness and alarms blaring in his soul. Every fibre of his being is screaming at him to catch hold of her while she hugged and kissed him, to tighten his hold and never release her. It took Zero an insurmountable amount of strength to fight against his instincts and let her go.
In perpendicular to the tempest of his worries, suddenly his son Matthew flew in and spoke everything he wanted to say, every thought he's currently holding back. Matthew tried to stop Mitsuko, and just like Zero expected on what would happen if he were to do the same thing, the angel expressed love and empathetically asserted that the criminals in the prison needed kindness too, something that she has in abundance.
'It doesn't have to be from you..!' Zero thought deep in his mind as a response and bit his tongue from ever speaking out that selfish desire of his. He had told her to be more selfish, but in important instances like these, it is in her best interest to be as selfless as she was born to be. As she was meant to be. This is Mitsuko's true self.
The next thing Zero realized is he's currently at the Bounty Hunting Headquarters.
He is so out of it, he does not realize he's moving on autopilot. He has this strange feeling of anxiousness and fear of the future, as if he's waiting for someone to issue him a death sentence. It felt like his soul left his body and he astral projected to all the worst outcomes that could have happened, as if all the alternate realities where Mitsuko could die is his own reality at the moment. He had opened the manilla envelope she had given him earlier and that's when his soul had left his body. A reality where his wife, his best friend, his soulmate... dies? Zero felt his grip on himself loosened. It's a nightmare. He's living in a nightmare.
He teared himself back into consciousness once Matthew screamed at him. The shreds of the nightmare that consumed him still sticks to the edges of his mind. The nausea is strong. Too strong. He barely has the time to weakly push Matthew aside to reach for the nearest trashcan before throwing up all over in it.
"Guh...hk... Fuck.. Damn it... Guhk!" He coughed, trying to clear his throat, but his body is too busy turning itself inside out. The fear. The anxiety. The uneasiness. 'Get it out. Get it all out!' Involuntary reaction, voiding his stomach of all the contents, voiding his heart of all the apprehension and dread.
Another cough, and Zero finally blinks away all the tears from his eyes. The despair is gone, he had chased it all out of his system with pure unbridled anger. Anger at his own inability to trust in Mitsuko. He needs to trust her.
Hunter had approached him to hand over a piece of tissue, and Zero snatched that from him to clean his face. His partner then handed him a bottle of water, to which Zero scowled, angry that his weakest point had not only been seen but comforted by Hunter. Despite himself, Zero downed the entire bottle to both clean his mouth and hydrate himself. He's stronger than this.
"I'm not giving up." Zero finally stood to his full height and announced that, just after Jean had said that if Mitsuko's life was stolen, it wouldn't be right. "I won't give her up without a fight." At this point, he stepped beside Matthew, and while he's facing Jean, his hand is on his son's shoulder. A strong grip. He's not losing Mitsuko, nor Matthew. He will protect his family. Everyone's counting on him.
Zero nods resolutely when the chief announced that if something wrong were to happen, they're heading back in there. He could care less that he had arrested 1/4 of the people inside that very same prison who's probably going to attempt to kill him once they see him.
After that, Zero slowly turns Matthew to look at him face to face. "Listen, kiddo. I'm not okay. We are all not okay. And that's okay. We're together, and we draw strength from each other." He lightly points his head to Jean, who helped to explain earlier. Then to Hunter, who was the steady rock in the background offering support behind the scenes. Then to Eve, who was Mitsuko's voice when she had none of her own. "And the same goes for your mom. She's beloved by all of the domain. It's not just us that she has. She's never alone, and she will come out of that prison having done the best she could of this shitty situation." There's finally strength in his voice as Zero said this.
"Matthew..." A small bitter smile is on his face now, a face of a worried husband but a proud father. "You have the willpower to look at things in a good light... Probably why your words carry so much weight." He thumbed away Matthew's tears, addressing his anxiety and worries as kindly as he could. "I'm so blessed to have a son who feels so strongly."
Now all they have to do is wait. They're not sitting ducks, they're on standby. Zero glances at his watch. If the signal comes, he will lead the cavalry towards his light, Mitsuko.

"The fun has arriiivved~"
Completely blind to the vibe of the current fight that is happening with demons being angelically decimated as well as the utter disaster of the prisoners breaking loose, Syani teleported in the middle of the skirmish with a tonal-deaf sparkle.
"Oopsie!" She deftly ducks away as a piece of furniture was thrown overhead, still with a smile on her face. With a skip in her steps, Syani heads on over to the people in scrubs, specifically the nurses and staffs that were stationed in this area, and picks them up one by one away from mortal danger. Telekinesis has its perks in these situations. "Miiiiii-neeeeeee~" She calls out, trying to find a certain blond-haired blue-eyed angel.
Throughout her youth, Syani was consistently chased by angry mobs of all kinds; human mobs, vampire mobs, restaurant mobs, admin mobs, dragon mobs. Due to this, she feels almost at-home by the chaos and destruction within Justice Peak. Heck, she was in this location last time to speak to the dead spirits of the prisons, before Mitsuko flew towards her and they kept each other company instead. Her intention at the time was to wreck havoc within the prison, to be honest.
Chaos is her strength, and Syani thrives in it. She can sense it as it happens.
Also for the fact that her telekinesis works with her emotions, so it is imperative that she stays as calm and in control as possible to not cause another collapse of a building.
Then again, calm and in control to Syani looks like she's skipping and having a grand merry time.
With the whole area in utter disorder with the mass of people --prisoners at that-- causing carnage at their wake, the enchantress ducked and weaved around them, while the people in scrubs that she's lifting with telekinesis is safe in the air, several feet above ground, floating against the ceiling. They are panicked and confused, but safe. Rarely does she decided to use her telekinesis, it always ended up with destruction. Though, floating some people up to the ceiling doesn't seem to be too hard.
Syani did not attack anyone. This is not her battleground. This is Mitsuko's. The half-vampire is here for crowd control, so innocents are safe from harm. Still, there are too many people in such a huge area, this might not be enough for Mitsuko alone to handle, though she did as well as she could given the circumstances.
Just then, a bright light emitted out of nowhere. From afar, Syani witnessed a person-- 'Demon?' --being extinguished in holy light. "Aha~" Of course, there's very few people in the domain who can shoot holy light like that. Obviously, that is Mitsuko. In the same way she entered, she maneuvered around the chaos until she's finally within hearing range of the angel.
"Hiya, sis!" Syani greeted, a smile forever plastered on her face in order to keep her telekinesis in control. She could see a long-haired man putting pressure on a wound on her body and Syani nods calmly; a spell. "Got hurt?" Her eyes then caught sight of Madame May, the woman who took care of Mitsuko since before she got married, and Syani nods again; another spell. They're both injured. This man is helping Mitsuko, while Mitsuko is shielding the badly wounded Madame May.
"Everything will be a-ok~" Syani did an ok sign before avoiding another thrown furniture, this time being a metal chair. It clangs loudly behind her as her smile tightens. "Mi-nee. It's okay to accept help. Even in your own battlefield. Lots of people care about you." While she says so, Syani is already enchanting the small area they are in with a rejuvenation spell without lifting a finger. The wound on Mitsuko that Neji is putting pressure on is slowly healing.
Madame May's unconscious figure was lifted in the air through her telekinesis. The ceiling has a better healing circle, Syani had enchanted that, so like a balloon, she floated quietly up to the ceiling and her wounds began to close. "Now then, I can't fight for you." The half-vampire offers her hand to Mitsuko, helping her on her two feet. "But I'm a fantastic buffer." Where their hands connect, a purple glow emits. Energy. Concentrated energy is being transferred to Mitsuko from out of nowhere. Strength has returned to her body, but only for a limited time.
"Now how do you want to handle this, Mi-nee?"
