Kaekeru remained completely tense until she moved back a little bit. loosened the expression on his face and almost closed his mouth, leaving it just partially open. He watched her closely, wanting her, wanting to leave her, wanting to take her in entirety.
He shifted back a bit as she stood, watching her carefully, his dark red eyes still fixed in a sort of glare. He didn't respond to her question. He couldn't. He didn't want her to stay and risk him hurting her but... He didn't want her to leave... He felt almost stranded and helpless on this icy mountain and it seemed as though he was forbidden to leave. There was almost an instinctual fear that he should not leave.
He wanted her with him but he didn't want to hurt her. He loosened his body very slightly and scaled back a bit before standing. His torso remained hunched slightly as though on guard and his face still held the glare though his mouth was now closed. Behind the glare was a deep sadness that wanted to be released but couldn't. A deep desire that he wanted to take advantage of but would not let himself. He was trapped within this shell of himself. Confused and disoriented and scared and angry.
Kaekeru suddenly then felt a complete sense of despair. He tilted his head back a bit to gaze far above hers. He pulled his shoulders back, sticking his chest out and let out a let out a loud growl.

Syani watched under her shadowed eyes of the vampire's reactions. The way his eyes are glaring at her, it made it harder for her to swallow the huge lump in her throat to simply breathe. It's hard to explain what exactly is she feeling...it's not courage, nor fear. It's not empathy, nor apathy. It's not confusion, nor complete understanding.
Syani looked up, her eyes wide, and for that moment, holding an immeasurable amount of determination in them. She knows zip of what happened to him, and no matter how much she wants to understand him, he just kept pushing her away...in fear of harming her. If that's how he wants it, then fine, she accepts it...in her own way. Now she sees what she has to do, exactly what she wished for, and how to fight for it.
In that instant, as the two stares at each other, it's almost as they're two complete opposites. Kaekeru feeling so lost, and Syani feeling so confident. She stood her ground as he hunched himself, glaring at her with those bloody red eyes, and returned his glare with her own, refusing to back down.
The growl Kaekeru let out shocked her into breaking her stance, and that forces her to move. But instead of falling to the back and shifts herself away from him, Syani surprisingly leaped forward, and not only that, she bounded off the snow and literally launched herself TOWARDS Kaekeru, embracing him, burying her face on his chest. Her eyes are wide as she did that, shocking herself of her own action...

Kaekeru's body froze instantly as soon as he felt her body now pressed against him, embracing him. He kept his arms and head back as his eyes widened a bit to the sky. He could smell her just beneath him and he could feel her warmth. He could not speak. He was like a deer caught in headlights.
After a while, he slowly closed his eyes and lowered his head slightly so his chin was carefully rested atop her head. He carefully moved his arms around her, resting them there. This was such a familiar feeling now. A feeling he had loved and missed. He still did not trust himself, so he refused to move their heads so he could look at her. He was content for that moment to just stand there like that. If they never had to move, that would be even better.
Her scent drove his cravings for her wild but he resisted and froze in that embrace, not daring to let go or move or anything.

A tiniest sob escaped her voice, and Syani found it difficult to stop herself after that. It really thawed her heart to see the once dignified Kaekeru changed so drastically into a wild animal of sorts like this, and the slight feeling of his chin on her hair surprised her.
She found herself somewhat gasping as she felt his hands embracing her, and that blocked her throat from speaking, or even sobbing. Her eyes remained widen, though glassy, and that respond of his made the half-vampire squint her eyes closed, burying her face on his chest.
She released a particular sigh through her mouth, against his chest, relieved that he's able to recall at least a bit of the past. In all honesty, she still is afraid of him...not of what he's able to do to her, or of death is she make one wrong move...but of him forgetting who he was.

"Syani..." Kaekeru let out in a whisper. His eyes remained closed as he recalled her familiar scent and touch, holding her close as his mind seemed somewhat peaceful with this. However, although he seemed fine at the moment, as soon as she would have to leave his arms, there is no telling what would become of him or how long this memory will stick.

Snow is starting to fall yet again on Yuki Mori, thickening the snow on the ground. The two still remained there, seeming almost frozen by the atmosphere. Syani shivered a bit in Kaekeru's embrace, whispering a slightly audible, "You're cold...Kae-kun..."
She can't imagine how long has he been staying here, feeding on animal blood the whole time. Knowing Kaekeru, he won't possibly tell her what exactly happened...it must be traumatizing enough to change him so drastically like this. But she's thankful, that she could grant him a sort of comfort after all these years, calming his mind slightly at least.
"I'm...always here for you." She slowly and gently pat his back slightly, trying to show that he's not alone anymore. "I won't ever leave you, just so you know. Okay?"
After a moment, Syani gasped. She heard something. A growl. The blood of the wolf Kaekeru attacked must have drawn quite a number of the others, and as Syani spun her head to the side a bit, she could see from right above Kaekeru's arm that wrapped around her, a hungry growling wolf.

Kaekeru listened to her voice, her words not making too much sense but somehow comforting in the back of his mind. "Syani...." He whispered again, as though it was the only word he knew.
His eyes shot open as a growl rang through his ear. He held Syani close as he turned his head in the direction of the other wolf and growled back at it. He slowly released his arms from Syani and moved in front of her, crouching forward with his arms out curved in ready to attack as he growled louder at the wolf, ready to kill if it didn't back away from her.

Syani stayed back mutely as she observed the situation. The wolf glared hard at Kaekeru, but occasionally darted its eyes towards Syani then and now. At this, the half-vampire stepped back a bit, but then she heard another low growl behind her.
Turning around, her eyes widened at the large pack of wild wolves appearing from behind the trees, circling both her and the vampire. Syani shuts her mouth tight and readies in a stance while slowly reaching up for her sealing necklace to pull off.
If there's one thing she learned through her travels, is to try to be independent and fight off her fair share of opponents.

At the sound of more growls around them, Kaekeru tried to glance around to see how many were there. As he did so, the first wolf charged at him. As it neared, he stepped towards it and grabbed hold of it, biting his teeth into its neck and ripping through it. He then forced the wolf onto the ground to bleed to death, breaking some of its bones with the force rendering it helpless.
He then moved quickly around Syani to the ones that were gaining up on her and quickly knocked them down and away, appearing not much different from the animals going after her with the beastly way he moved, tearing parts of them off and leaving the injured to die. He continued moving around her, killing them, trying to do all he could to not let a single one reach her.

Syani clenched her jaws tight, trying not to scream out at every kill Kaekeru made, and also to keep the smell of blood away from reaching her taste bud. She slapped her hands in front of her lips and nose, backing away a few steps and squinting her eyes closed every time she heard their bones snapped.
She watched in mild horror of the snow slowly seeped the blood from the dying wolves. Once the pure white snow turned scarlet by the mass of blood, Syani held her breath as she watched the vampire she once knew slaying the last of the wolves. Now the tainted snow sort of circled her, and she's standing very still on the disappearing white spot there, shivering and horrified.
Suddenly, a loud howl echoed the icy forest, and followed by that, a series of other howls. At this, Syani gasped and rushed towards Kaekeru, wanting to pull him away from this place before the other pack shows up.

continue continued to kill and injure then until one was left. He took it down and, with the smell of blood driving his senses wild, he began to quickly drink its blood. His ears caught the sound of howls in the distance but he kept drinking until he heard another being approach him.
He quickly stood up hunched over ready to attack as Syani neared him, his face bloodied, his mouth dripping as his fangs were exposed ready to take the next one. As soon as his blood red eyes fell upon Syani's face, his animalistic breathing stopped and his body froze temporarily. He slowly closed his mouth then looked around as he heard the howls getting closer.
His eyes, still red, darted back to Syani and he refused to breathe as the smell of blood was all around them. He took a couple slow steps toward her. He had a strong urge to protect this girl as he fought the urge to feed. As the howls grew closer still, Karkeru swiftly wrapped one arm around her back and the other under her legs and lifted her up against him, holding her close as he sped away from the area to keep her from the danger approaching.

Syani immediately braked and pulled her hands back from outstretching towards him as Kaekeru stood up and seeming about to attack her. Syani brings her arms up in defense and gasped at how much blood there is on his face and torso.
"We have to leave..." she whispered, hoping he understands, and tries her best to ignore the blood stain on him. The both of them just paused like that, staring at each other almost warily. "Kaekeru--" Syani wasn't sure he could understand her in his state, but she definitely didn't expect him to carry her up again.
"Hey! No, no, no!" There are two things she dislike about this. One is the feeling of being protected all over again, and two is the blood stain on Kaekeru is going to stick onto her arm. Despite this, she's very surprised of how he managed to control himself till now.
So as she looked up to Kaekeru's crimson irises, Syani can't help but to wonder how long his strength can last. The howls grew closer and closer, specifically from behind them, so Syani reaches something from under the cloak, then carelessly throws it over Kaekeru's shoulder. A loud hiss of gas escaping from a container could be heard from behind, but the howls definitely stopped.

Kaekeru didn't exactly comprehend her words although her voice somehow soothed him and, along with her appearance, helped him to be able to control himself. He continued to refuse breathing, though as a vampire he didn't really need to anyway, as he ran with her in his arms. He only payed attention on the ground in front of them and their surroundings, making sure to run faster than the wolves though not seeming to take advantage of his vampiric ability to really speed.
He didn't notice when she threw something over her shoulder and didn't bother to look back as it made a sound, only continued moving forward until he realized he could no longer hear the wolves and he stopped and looked down at Syani. He watched her a moment, not paying attention to their surroundings any longer when he suddenly inhaled through his nose out of habit. His eyes widened as he took in her scent and the scent of the blood that drenched him. His body froze as his blood red eyes remained fixed on her. He made sure to hold his breath again as he stared into her eyes, an almost pleading look hiding behind his for release of this urge to kill her.

Syani didn't seem to be focusing when Kaekeru paused his running, as she's a bit preoccupied with trying to warm herself up by continuously rubbing her hands against themselves and blowing her breath to warm them, even a slight bit. Since the weather's already cold and Kaekeru just sped fighting the winds, the cold is definitely stinging her skin.
Though, she could feel something wrong when a different sort of chill went down her spine and the half-vampire shivered slightly. That's when she caught sight of Kaekeru staring at her, she was caught by surprise. Being Syani, she can't really tell if this is bad, but by the sudden fear dawning inside her, she's afraid to even formulate a theory in her head.
Both of them just stared at each other in the eyes under the falling snow, utterly silent and unaware of their surrounding. Syani was half considering to teleport herself off since Kaekeru won't let her down, but then there was a hidden glint in his eyes that the half-vampire couldn't quite comprehend, so she refuse to escape until she figured out what he really wants. "Please tell me..somehow.."
Her gaze became sharper and much more focused to study if there's any sign of clue in his eyes, "..How, impossible or not, can I HELP you, Kaekeru.."

Kaekeru remained staring at her as she spoke, her voice calming him down the slightest bit. He slowly parted his lips as if to speak but unknowing of any words to say he shut them again. As a somewhat pained expression manifested onto his face, Kaekeru strengthened his grip around her though not enough to hurt her. "Syani..." He mumbled as though that was the only word he knew.
"Syani...." He struggled trying to come up with words. "It... hurts...." His eyes began looking even more distressed in his frustration and if he were able his eyes would be watering.
