"That might be it, but I'm pretty sure part of it is because its maternal," Leo insisted, adjusted the weight of the food he's holding on his arms, "Love is a quality that grows, Rayl. You can't assume that you don't have it so easily and quickly." He was just about to leave the kitchen to head towards the living room when Rayl mentioned of an owl the boy owned?
"..Owl?" he muttered right after Rayl patted his shoulder, wondering while walking back to the living room. He replayed that scene when the kid entered again and again in his mind, but there is absolutely no owls perching on any shoulders as fas as he can see.
'Or is it...I can't see it...?'
The tray filled with food he's carrying slipped off his hands the very same moment his eyes widened. Leo just stood there dumbstruck at the living room, staring at the empty couch and the opened door.
"R..Rayl..."
Normally, Leo wouldn't be that easily shocked, but a child suddenly gone with an opened front door is rather frightening. What's more alarming is there's spots of blood trailing out from the couch to the door.
"Rayl!"

Rayl looked at the shirt and the blanket comfortably and content. She was checking for something useful, but suddenly stops when she heard Leo calls her name. She looked confused, suddenly dashing her way at the living room.
She looked at Leo with a confuse gaze, "What's going on?" she asked as she looked at the couch where the boy was. Her eyes widen, the blanket and shirts falls down from her hand. She slowly strides her way at the couch, but she could see some blood trailing. "I-I'll go look for him..." she presented, her eyes filled with pure worry. What on earth have the kid gotten onto himself? Who is that kid anyway?
She picks up her black all-over mask and looks at Leo; she nodded and strides her way at the door, searching for the kid.

Leo turned to face the assassin as she finally came down to the living room, and like he expected, she's starting to worry of the child. "You go look for him," he had said the exact same time Rayl did, paused, and then continued, "I'll stay here in case he comes back."
He could see as clear as day how worried the young woman is, and for a slight while he felt slightly envious of how easily readable her eyes seemed. She's dead worried.
Leo nodded back in response just before Rayl left and rushed towards the door to see her off. After she's out of sight by the whiteness of the blizzard, Leo closed back the door and trailed his eyes to the blood spots.
Something is definitely wrong about that child...

Sean coughed, more blood spurted out of his throat and tainted the pure white snow. "Agggh...!" he muttered, not sure what's happening to him, but the tight knot inside his chest is extremely painful for him to handle without screaming out.
And Sean does not like screaming when someone can hear him.
Thus is why he's outside and hiding behind a tree a few ways away from Rayl's house, coughing and wheezing, screeching occasionally as he stared down the red snow. He had put his hands straight against the tree for support and his whole upper body sort of bent forward, his hair almost touching the tree slightly. The blood spots are clearly apparent between the child's feet and the tree.
"What's....happening..." he tried to ask Celeste, but the owl is no where near his shoulder. It just kept circling around its owner and the tree, hooting. As a spiritual being, of course nobody could hear it...except a summoner, like Sean, or maybe even something non-human.
"...Celeste, shush.. ACK.." The pain in his chest doubled all of a sudden and the little boy hurled into a little ball, writhing on the very ground where his blood splattered on in pain.

Rayl strolled down the snowy place with full curiosity and worry at the boy. She doesn't know if the boy could bear the upcoming blizzard. Yes, she could feel the upcoming snowstorm; and it's no ordinary storm. But it won't matter to her, she is an ice controller.
She looked at one of the big trees, up there flying, she saw the owl just flying into circles. She looked down her eyes widen when she saw blood trailing towards the tree.
She followed the trail, the boy; she saw his face in pain. Blood splatted on the ground. He was clutching his stomach in pain. She kneel at the side of the boy, she knew; albeit he was writhing in pain that she was here at his side. "Boy..." she let out, her eyes the only thing could be seen, because she was wearing her mask.
"Let's leave the place, this place is not something you could hang." she let out and stood. "A terrible snowstorm shall occur here..." she then looked up at the owl, raising her arm, trying to let the owl perched on her arm.

Sean wouldn't open his eyes, he refused to. He clutched his stomach so tightly and curled himself into a ball in obvious pain, he wouldn't dare move a single muscle.
Albeit the crazy belt of wind obstructing his hearing, he could faintly hear the woman from before speaking to him. His eyebrows creased even more at this, and what annoys him more is he could feel Celeste easing down from her circular gliding and perched on Rayl's extended arm.
"Wh...WHY DO YOU CARE?!" Sean screamed, finally opening his eyes, but only to glare daggers at the black-clad woman. A trail of blood is apparent at the side of his mouth, and that intensifies his fiery glare. Celeste suddenly hooted at the same time, but silenced down as sudden as she started, her head perked up in a specific direction towards the snow-covered woods nearby.
"You aren't even human, SO WHY DO YOU ACT LIKE ONE?!" His voice is a mixture of fire and ice, burning and chilly at the same time, coming from a small child. He further glowers at Rayl, almost as if loathing at her, until he had finally reached his limit and passed out.
Celeste squawked, spreading its large white wings and pushed herself off Rayl. At that same moment, out of nowhere, appear a large white polar bear. How on Earth does it get there and why an animal from the south pole is running right towards Sean is beyond anyone's understanding. Well, anyone who isn't a summoner, at least.
The large bear growled at Rayl upon nearing the child, but it then ignored her to dug its head through the snow right under Sean's body and lifted the boy up on his back. Celeste flew off with a hoot after that's done, and the bear rushes to follow her with the child in tow.
They disappeared within the blizzard after a few seconds, leaving the ice-wielder alone under the raining snow.

The said owl, Rayl never expected, to land gently on her stretched arm. She looks at the owl with a mystified look, but soon faded when she looked down at the boy, she frowned when the boy happened to glare at her with pure hate and anger.
And it made her more shocked and stunned that the boy shouted at her. She paused momentarily at the hurt words the boy said, it never occur to her that being such a goody would be like this. She was being hate, at the fact that she did goodwill instead of bad or killing someone. The fact that does words comes out from a child, it never helped her heart to break; she tried... no, wanted and needed to help the boy; but the boy always pushed him.
"I-I wanted too-" she paused when her eyes widened at the boy. It made her struck in her place, she frowned at the boy. It hurts more, the word he have said awhile ago cannot equal the pain the words the boy said now. Her arm fall down at the side, looking blankly at the boy whom went unconscious. She never aid the boy no more as she felt a presence of a polar bear. She stopped moving as the bear carried the boy and soon disappeared.
The wind gushed hardly, as the snow falls down harshly. She pulled her mask off as she looks down at the blood where the boy have once been. She grunted, she couldn't believe that the boy's statement have hurt more. Yes, she was a hanyou, but that doesn't mean she could not be a human. After all, she does have a half human soul inside her body. So, she is a human too; but the fact that her blood also has a demon soul, it gets more complicated in her life. Suddenly bringing her into the darkness reality of the world.
She strolled her way back at the house slowly, her mind went blank; she could not think of something more optimistic. Who was she kidding? She isn't an optimist person but a pessimist. As she trailed her way back at the mansion, the blizzard gets rougher and rougher; yet she paid no mind on it. She opens the door with no expression on her face, the warm feeling of the fireplace at the living room made her weaker; and yet the blank expression made it unnoticed.
When she went at the living room, she looked up at Leo's expected face. She sighed, "He's gone..." she let out, as she shrugged her shoulders. She picked up the blanket and the clothings that the boy should wear.

While they're both gone out, Leo tries to make himself useful by cleaning all the food he had dropped. He had placed all the pieces of the food on the tray, and wiped the remaining stain on the floor with an old cloth he had found in the kitchen.
He was moving on towards the blood stains when the front door was suddenly opened and in came the freezing gale. Leo immediately stood up, still with the cloth in hand and blinked expectantly at Rayl after scanning around her that there's no little boy in sight. The way she just paused there for a while disturbs him slightly.
He just followed her with his eyes as she moved across the living room slowly, picking up that something isn't quite right. What she said made his heart stopped for a second, "What do you mean 'gone'?" since he had misinterpreted that 'gone' means 'death'.
Though, if that's the case, wouldn't Rayl be more worried? She's the one who cares about the kid a while ago. She had shown much more emotion that he himself could ever do when the boy's here, but now...everything seemed to turn around.
Honestly, Leo knows zip of what to do or how to react, so he just stared at her as she picked up all the items that was meant for the child. Slowly, the artist approached her, trying to remember what did his mother taught him to do when she's sad or upset.
With lack of anything to say, Leo simply sighed at the thought of what he's about to do, circled Rayl so he stood there behind her, closed the distance between them and surprisingly, locked his arms around her. Through the embrace, Leo could feel how cold she is, that's to expect of her element, but frankly he didn't mind, considering she pretty much needs a hug right now, albeit a rather awkward one.
"You're not alright. Care to tell me what happened?" he whispered in her ear, ready to let go of her if she doesn't feel comfortable.

Rayl paused as she sighed heavily, she wanted to stop feeling the sympathy for a kid after what she have been through for helping a kid. But she couldn't help at all to just stood there and do nothing. Albeit the cold and distance attitude toward the other species. She isn't that cold not helping others. Afterall, she lived in a house with a mother and a father; teaching her morals.
She didn't looked up at Leo whom asked her about the meaning of 'gone' at her statement. She just shook her head, she could feel her heart heave as the word of a kid stuck in her mind. She wanted to let it all out, but she was afraid showing weaknesses, especially in front of Leo. She don't know, but she have this big PRIDE that she couldn't let anyone seeing her weaknesses.
Just as she was about to speak, trying to calm her thoughts out; and wanting to show void emotions at Leo. She suddenly felt Leo's hugged from behind, her eyes dilated in surprised. the hugged emanating from the said boy feels so welcoming. Albeit the unknowingness of the guy through emotions. The clothings she have taken from her hands suddenly falls down as she heard the calm, soothing voice of Leo.
Her heart once again raced, as a hue of red crept into her cheeks. The feeling of being hugged by someone, it is a first time for her; an exception of being hugged by her parents.
She looked down, "Ne, Leo..." she started and sighed. "Am I bad?" she questioned out, the boy's statement to her awhile ago really confused her and hurts her. She wanted to seek for an answer why the boy have said that.

He can't feel any resistance from her of the hug, at least to his notice, so he doesn't release her unless prompted. Half of himself wondered though if he did the right thing here. She was being silent for a while, and Leo has no idea how to read her now considering he can't see her eyes.
When she spoke all of a sudden though, it startled the artist. Plus, the odd question. "Define...bad." He only replied, his voice sounded distracted, since his mind is trying to relate that question to what actually happened to her outside when she went out to fetch the kid.
"There is no good or bad people... Just charming or tedious people, I guess." That was quoted from his acquaintance, right before the poor man's breathed out his last breath. "...Did the child find you as tedious?"

Rayl suddenly pulls away from the hug, finding the hug to welcoming that the statement of the kid have struck her mind. The hug from Leo is so unrealistic, she thought his hug is not deserving for her.
Her gaze landed on the floor, she never wanted to looked at Leo with that helpless, weak look. She shook her head, "The boy hated me..." she let out softly, her gaze at the stained blood on the carpet. "I was no human at all to act like one, that's what he said. And I found it's true..."
Her fist curled, "I never was a human at all, but a killing machine." she chuckled at her statement, though her chuckle was lifeless, no emotion. "The kid is brilliant, he could identify a being and being true of what he stated as always. What he have said awhile ago is true..." she looked at Leo with those cold soft eyes. "So true that it hurts me," she whispered and looked away at his gaze.

Leo releases Rayl and dropped his arms when she pulled away. He just stood there, waiting for her to explain what exactly is happening when she and the boy went out. What she said at the least surprises him.
"But...you didn't even tell him you're..." his words got lost in mumbles when his mind started to tune its gears. The most probable guess he could come up with...is the child isn't human. Or he's gifted with an inhuman ability... Leo forced his mind to pause as Rayl continued to speak, this time she spoke with a hollow chuckle.
"..Rayl..." The artist called softly, finding this situation is not something he could adept to. Leo's not very good at offering advices, or healing a crushing soul, so he just stood there, staring at her in lost of what to do or say. Silence lingered around them for a while, until Leo remembered what a friend told him once.
"The truth...always hurt, in some way," his voice is low, as if he has no confidence what he's saying could help at all, but he truly wishes to help her feel better, she's a friend after all. "Whatever the child said to you, I honestly doubt that he hates you..."
Logic began to twirl around his mind, compacting it with a number of questions and trying to find an answer for it one by one. "If he's such a brilliant child, then he would not hate you, just because you're not a human. ...Perhaps he's not even angry at you. Perhaps he's trying to tell you something."
He agrees with Rayl that the kid isn't normal, and if that child IS brilliant, then there must be a reason why he did what he did. "Plus, its your choice entirely to act however you like. Just...be who you are and say what you want, because those who mind doesn't matter and those who matters doesn't mind."
Leo let out a small genuine smile with a shrug of his shoulders, "I don't mind."

She didn't like the feeling of being hurt this way, she didn't like the feeling of being a weak being; not even in front of this man. But, it made her also helpless and just wanted to be normal to be with a man who care and trusted her.
The boy, have made her human feelings almost activated slowly by slowly. At first, the caring way of how humans feel with each other; and this time, the feeling or the need of someone who wouldn't leave her behind.
It is true that she likes to be alone, and wanted her own solitude; but years after not making a proper contact of her job. And landing on the place where he met Leo, its as if her own world have needed to change place or change some plans from her. In an instance, its as if she doesn't want to let anyone hurt those she cared and trusted.
And the boy seems to help her human feelings to flow out.
She looked at Leo, "You... are unbelievable..." she let out and shook her head; taking the clothes and the blankets that have fall on the ground. Her statement, that was a compliment for Leo; it's like a 'thank you' language; since she never really have told anyone things like that.

Leo just stood there, watching and waiting for her reaction as she thought about things. While she does so, the artist was caught inside his own pool of thoughts. It must be especially difficult for her because she was born having her fate fixed, with everyone shunning her just because of her blood.
He is actually still surprised that Saiya had saved him, during their first encounter. Half of him was especially grateful for her human side to help gain some humanity inside her heart, but then again, that half-blood is also causing her quite some troubles in her life. He wondered, if he never encountered her before...will it change for the better for her?
"Hmn?" Leo snapped back into reality when he heard Rayl said something. He didn't catch what he said though, due to his mind being somewhere else, but the way Rayl was continuing to pick back up the clothes she dropped made him thought of an idea.
"Would you like me to give you the medicine again?"

Rayl then stood up as she looked at the things she picked up. Now, she was contented and relieved. From those soothing words Leo made, it made her feel welcoming. All those resistance of welcoming her human feelings, she accepted those. Yet, she never really thought that much. She just have to wait, she won't force herself or anyone and Leo to teach her those.
She will wait patiently.
She suddenly looked at Leo in confusion, "Medicine? What Medicine?" she asked confuse. Does anyone have been hurt? Who needs a medicine?
