Rayl silently run with them as they followed the dog whom searched for the scent of Leo, they ran through the alley of Evnae. Until they found themselves in a place in an abandoned building. She knew to herself that this is a hideout of the thieves lurking through the shadows and would steal anything.
She was afterall alike from them. She was no place to stay and would just stay in an abandoned place. Yet, the feeling of something is different made her glare at the said building. She was having a doubt of entering the place. She... an assassin would back away? She ignored the thought and shakes her head silently. No... she won't do that. Only cowards would do as that.
She looked over at the guy who have helped them, he were nodding to them. She nods back as she took a step closer and stood beside the light blue haired guy.
"This is the place... your pet have guided us," she uttered then looked down at the two small pets the guy has. "I would suggest you should let your pets leave this place... I feel such a heave feeling on this place..." she added, frowning at the place.

When the two arrived, Zeph faces back the abandoned house with a frown, securing his two pets in his embrace. He walked around Rayl, and passed beside Leo to exit the route he just taken. "I'm just going to take these two back to the main road. I'll be back." He whispered to Leo, then scurried off out of their sight, leaving the two alone in the danger.
Zephel had miscalculated the situation, it seems. He never did know that Leo can't even pull a punch...so he just left the two of them there, right in the face of danger.

Rayl nodded quietly as she looked over at the pets and to the unknown guy as well. She was grateful that he helped them. Though she doesn't know how to expresses it.
Once the unknown guy and the pets were gone at the place, she looked once again at the place and sighed. She walks a bit at the side of the building, quietly observing and analyzing the place. She really knows that there is something wrong here.
The place is so quiet... and it makes her rises her guard. She looked at Leo who still is at the back. "Don't ever leave my side, Leo..." she let out as her eyes bore into his... then she looked away, looking at the building with a glare.

Leo reached the back area quite late to be frank, because the moment the lad reached the abandoned building area, the man from before decided to leave for a bit. The artist was trying to catch his breath from all that running, so he slowed down and takes a spot right beside Rayl.
He heard the assassin asking him to stay close by, and at this, he automatically nodded. Leo stood quietly for a while, occasionally glancing at Rayl, and wondering what is his role to her for her to be saying such things. Not that he mind, it just felt odd to him in a way.
Leo then rested his head to the solid wall behind him, tilting his head up in a way, and in that moment, noticed a shadow a few ways up. Almost immediately, the lad grabbed hold of Rayl's arm and pushed himself off the wall, rushing straight towards a few empty trash cans...and of course, got himself stumbling.
Despite the clumsiness, he did a good thing, because right after the two dash off, a familiar arrow could be seen stuck on the ground they once stood. One level up, on the veranda, a laughter is heard.

"My, my...isn't this a nice surprise." Enna laughed, secured with a new set of bow and arrows with her. She stood on the veranda with a smile, then leaned on the safety rail there to look down upon both Leo and Rayl. Upon closer inspection, it seems there's a strap of familiar leather around her; she's wearing Leo's bag.
The woman glared daggers at the two below, though mainly to Rayl, but then smiled. "My boys just told me the most craziest story...they said they saw you somewhere." She pointed a long finger to Leo, with a long fingernail as if trying to scratch the boy from afar. "I thought it's just way too good to be true, but now look. You're standing right behind our new home."
Enna turns her head slightly to the back now, and brings up a hand at the side of her lips, "Orwin~!! Be a gentleman and greet the lovely children down there, will you? They look awfully weary."

She glared at the building, suddenly thinking of what way she was about to enter this nerve wrecking place. Yes, nerve wrecking, she don't really exactly knows why she thought of it. But her instinct does feel it.
Just as she was about to asked something at Leo, the said guy suddenly dragged her, by holding her arm away from something. Though it's too late, since the lass have hit by the flying arrow. It was a simple gash on her arm, though she didn't mind it. She looked at Leo who slightly stumbled on his feet when both backed away from the attack.
Rayl looked above the building and saw Enna, she glared at the said leader of the bandits they have encountered. "A typical hide-out for such a typical bandits, eh?" she sardonically said as her eyes hinted with such hatred; she wonder how could this lass lived so well when she have attacked Enna in her mid-stomach.
Though, she growled when a man whom started a ruckus on the cafe step out of the building. She summoned her ice sais, ready to protect herself and Leo. She glanced at Leo, "Step back..." she uttered her gaze then turned at Orwin.

Orwin opened the door to the back alley none too mildly, with a sword secured in his grip. It looks more of a scimitar actually, with the blade slightly curved backwards. He advanced towards the two, chuckling a bit as he heard Rayl asking the lad to 'stay back'.
It's a rather funny scene actually, with the roles reversed. Still, Orwin holds his guard up, and the corner of his eye could see the small bare scratch on the maiden's shoulder. His grin widens, for the tip of the arrow Enna shot was dipped in poison.
"Now lassie, wouldn't you like to take a look at that wound for a bit? Lemme handle the lad while you do.' Orwin smiled to Leo, expecting the assassin to slip to unconsciousness any moment now.

Rayl sweat that formed on her forehead drips down at the side of her left cheek, she gulped down a bit as wipes her pointing finger at the gash on her arm. When she looked at her finger, her blood has a slimy green on it. Her eyes widen as she was surprised, she haven't noticed that the arrow that gash her has a poison.
She raised her head a bit as her eyes were narrowed at Orwin's and Enna's way. She was ticked off, now, that was seems to be the bad vibes she is feeling awhile ago. The bandits were off to something, that would endanger their life.
She looked up at Leo, who still is at the back, her eyes held that soft look when she looked at him. Suddenly, that soft looking ones, turned into a hatred looked as she looked at Orwin. "Kusou..." she growled as she ran at Orwin's way suddenly raising her left hand holding a sai; attacking the said bandit.

Orwin grinned wilder as the ice wielder have noticed the poison, he smirks devilishly. "So, in an inch of time... you will just be a lying rag doll." he said as he saw her face with that ticked off look. He raises his scimitar as Rayl started to run at his way.
He guarded her attacked on her, shielding the blade in front of him. He chuckled boastfully as he smirks and taunted the girl, "Hmm... we won't be having a problem of killing the guy here... if you're gone, eh?" he said out as he pushed her away, making the girl baked; the guy is strong, because of the weakness Orwin have found out.

Rayl was pushed away so strongly, making her looked more pissed; an assassin who is agitated, and a temper so short means a big problem. She never have a hot temper, she was always calm, a critic and analyze each events happening. But now that she has a weakness, and a guy -a friend- to protect on. She was agitated and want to finished the little game made by the bandits.
She winced, holding her arm in pain; the poison is slowly crawling to her nerves, making her released her sai unintentionally. She looked in pain, because this never happened in her.
She was very keen and most likely the one to be in charge of anything, but now... like the bandit said... slowly by slowly, she will be a lying rag doll.
"Kusou yarou..." she cursed out in her language, her eyes glowered in full hatred. She slowly picked her sai again, raising it in a defensive way; the two said were in a crossed position. She breathed heavily, her eyes started to get blurry. She was ticked off because of the poison she have, she does not know any kind of antidote; she have forgotten to study of the kind of poison.

Leo stood by the background behind Rayl like the useless wimp he is as he sharply observed the current occurrence. The poison, the battle...it all makes sense now on why they are so confident in winning this time. Form behind, he could see how weakened the assassin is, even through her stance.
He felt helpless, just watching Rayl dropping her weapon, and then reaching back for it is sort of painful for him. "Rayl, forget about the bag, we have to get you treated." A person's life is more important than his keepsake, so Leo placed a hand on her shoulder from behind and tries to reason with her.
But then, he heard a horrible snapping sound from above, and all of a sudden, countless sacks of sand rained down onto both Leo and Rayl. Out of instinct, the artist immediately leaped near Rayl and brings her down, closing his arms around her shoulders and head and ducked with his own head above hers, right before they both gets themselves buried under piles and piles of sacks of sand.
They're both buried down alright, but surprisingly, Rayl's not even weighted down. Mainly because Leo's holding up all the weight from even touching her, and she's right under him, lying on the ground. He had placed his palms on each of her side, his arms quivering by the immense weight, and his knees pressing against the ground too.

"Where are you going, boy?" Enna asks sweetly from up on the veranda, and lowering down her bow after shooting an arrow towards a railing there weighting down sackfuls of sand. The sacks fell right onto her target, and her lips curved out a smile at the sight.
"Is the boy actually growing a spine there??" She asks Orwin in a surprising tone, blinking at what she saw right before the sand buried them; he's actually protecting a wretched assassin. She expects him to to be buried down under the sacks in full momentum and knocked out instantly, but he's literally holding them off, shockingly.

Rayl breathed heavily as her eyes glint darkly, she glared daggers at the bandit in front of him. She know she have to finished this in an instance, but her thoughts only flooded by the poison in her arms. She can't think well as the poison weakens her endurance in this little game.
She glanced at Leo, he was stopping her in the fight and have suggested to treat the poison. She opened her mouth, wanting to speak and reasoned there would be no stopping her.
But a twist of the event have turned down from them, Enna, from the veranda have hit the sack full of sands that was above them. Rayl just felt herself being dragged down, they were under the pile of sacks. Rayl thought that she's dying because of the darkness, but she feel something warm above her.
She opened her eyes almost weakly, breathing heavily; her eyes landed upon Leo's face who's inch closer. Surprisingly, he was protecting her from the pile of sands. And she was surprised that he can handle this much.
"I... can't believe... you can handle this big weight pretty much," her statement is almost sardonically, as she looked up at Leo, who still is holding the weight of the pile of sack sands. "A-bout from what you said... awhile ago," she let out as she closed her eyes and tried to calm her almost fog thoughts.
Being an assassin, she have to be and always be calm. If destruct by some simple thoughts, she is nothing. "I don't quit from missions... I will get your bag from that old hag," she softly let out, as she gulped the saliva from her throat; opening her eyes as she looked at Leo.

Orwin was amused and surprised at the same time, as he watched the boy saved the assassin just before Enna hit the pile of sack sands above them. He whistled and grinned as he saw how the boy protects the poisoned girl. "Hmmm... an extinct to protect the lassie, aye?" He then looked at their leader, Enna, who is at the veranda.
"What do you think, boss? We hitch some fire around them?" he said, or more likely suggested at their leader. He's really sure that the girl is still alive, as well as the boy. That's why, they have to make a first move to kill or annihilate the two. Since they owe them too much of their life and their bandits who have died by the hands of that assassin.

Much like everyone else, Leo's just as surprised of his own action. It's almost as if he's been possessed, since the artist ALWAYS think before acting, so this circumstance right here strikes as odd to him anytime of the day. And due to his overactive mind, he had figured out the reason behind his sudden almost-heroic act.
His inability to protect his mother years ago.
Rayl's words snapped him back from his thoughts. Leo just realized that their faces are so close to each other by the warmth of her breath as she spoke. He wanted to reply, but the weight had stole his energy and forbidding him to do so. His arms and legs are screaming by the immense pain of holding off such an amount of mass from burying both him and the assassin.
Sweat are starting to form on his forehead. Though he's unable to speak at the moment, Rayl's words somehow...comforted him. He struggled to open his eyes, since he's been squinting them close by the strain of his muscles being used over his limits, and met a pair of soft blue irises staring back right at his own pair.
"...Thank you......Rayl..."
