She raised an eyebrow at his statement, she knew he was playing with her. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. A small bit of tasting the icing isn't that bad, although it is the most sweetest part.
"Hmm... I might conclude to myself that you're nothing a but a chicken face, just doodling off." she replied as she took his cake and place it down beside her cake. She continued eating her cake as she then remembered something.
"Right, if you're not used on going in a place like this... and eating sweets... why are you here?" Rayl asked, noticing him awhile ago he was looking for something.

Leo brings his cup down on its little plate once Rayl mentioned of why is he here. Apparently it's obvious enough now that he didn't belong here. "I got sent here to buy a marble cake. Oh, and I have you to thank for for reminding me." He nodded politely to her without any other reaction.
That is, until her name-call for him finally reached his brain. "Chicken..face..?" Out of all the namecalls people had bombarded him with since he was a child, Rayl's is by far the weirdest. "I..haven't heard that one before." He's so used into being called in those types of names so many times, he's immune to it already.
But still...there's no harm done to continue the child-play, is it?
"I am not doodling off, nor am I chicken-faced." Leo acted hurt, then made his move by grabbing his fork he had long abandoned before, then scooped a small bit of chocolate icing from his cake. He needed to stretch his arm though to reach Rayl's plate. Once he got a small scoop of it, he retracted back his arm.
"My face looks just fine, thank you," those were his last words before he forced the fork filled with icing in his mouth. For a moment, there seems to be no reaction from him. Then, after a full minute, Leo quickly puts his fork back down, reached for the teapot, poured himself a large amount of tea until the cup was almost overflowing with it, and gulped it down. All of that happens in mere 10 seconds.
"Gaahah.." He choked after finishing his tea, and sighed heavily. "How can you stand eating that thing..?"

Rayl nodded as Leo answered her, so he was looking for a marble cake. Though she was surprised to hear the hurt voice of Leo when she called him a chicken-face.
She gulped guiltily, "I-..." she let out and looked down at her cake. "I apologize..." she uttered out, feeling guilty at what she claimed Leo was.
Then, she was surprised when a hand suddenly strokes a fork on the icing. She looked up at Leo, his face was priceless when he cringe at the sweet filling of the icing. She covered her lips with her hand, she was smiling... a small upward quirk of her lips was visibly. Though since she covered it with her hand, it was unnoticeable.

Leo didn't seem to hear her apology, mainly because he's busy choking on that small albeit deadly piece of icing. Though, when he raised his head to take a look of Rayl after he's done gulping down his tea, the lad is surprised to see a hand over her mouth. Leo immediately dropped down his act, "What's the matter? Are you choking??"

Rayl was tad surprised when Leo suddenly raised his head and looked at him. She shook her head, trying not to smile at the somewhat hilarious, yet cute face of the choking Leo.
"I-It's nothing..." she let out as she turn her head down, trying to cover her smiling lips.

"Are you sure??" Leo held a pure concerned expression on his face as his upper body slanted forward a bit to express his worry. But before he could read further of her strange behavior, Leo noticed something on her face. Deftly, the young artist then grabbed the nearest tissue beside the saucer of his teacup, then outstretched his hand to reach the assassin's face.
"Excuse me.." He merely said before wiping a small stain of chocolate smeared on her cheek. He never noticed her smile, but as he wiped, it became more curious on what exactly is she hiding when lowering her head down. "There." Pulling back his arm, Leo tilted his head slightly a bit, confused of Rayl's odd antics.
"And, really, what's wrong?"

Rayl was stunned for awhile after Leo have wiped Rayl's cheek; due to the stain left of the chocolate icing. She slowly lowered her hand, due to the shockness. Since no one have ever do that small gesture of someone caring for her.
She looks down at her cake, feeling that it was entertaining to look at. Though, the small smile have never left her face; she was glad she have met a friend on this strange place. Yet of course, a blush stained her cheeks, due to the small gesture of Leo's.
"It was nothing..." she let out, suddenly nodding to herself. No one have ever seen her smile, nor herself. What would it be like then?
She sighed as she played the icing with her fork. "I was just... amused at you," she just let out.

Leo shut his lips tight at the same moment Rayl drops down the hand she used for covering her mouth. Since she's still hanging her head low, the artist didn't have the faintest idea on what is up with her. If she refuse to tell him what's wrong, then Leo didn't want to push her farther, so he just accepted her refusal.
The lad did not see her smile, but that faint blush is rather apparent from his viewpoint. Now THIS is odd to him. "Nothing? Nothing means something, and I want to know what it is, if at all possible, please." He's not concerned anymore, but rather intrigued by the reasons she's hiding.
And finally the answer presents itself...by the form of 'amusement'.
"Amused....at me?" This doesn't strike as much strange as it is embarrassing, in Leo's case. He's never a prideful man, and ego doesn't seem to fit with him, but still he can feel uneasy if he can make someone, anyone for that matter, amused. It surprised him so much, that it stunned him for a while, his eyes blank and seem to stare at the distance beyond Rayl.
"..A-amuse...? ...W-well, I'm glad that I am able to amuse you this evening, Rayl." Granted Leo is able to catch himself pretty fast, he did so, and quickly stated that with a small nod...mostly to cover his sudden slip.

Rayl silently nodded, slowly raising her head a bit. A comfortable facade lit up at Rayl's face. "I'm sorry... if it bothers or it make somehow an insult to you..." she let out as she then once again looked down at her cake. The half remaining cake was still there as Rayl nudge some icing.
"I can't help but somehow thought of your face somewhat amusing, when you eat the icing." she explained as a small quirk of her lips turn upward. The smile was visible enough for Leo to see, as he raises her head a bit.
"Most people like sweets... as I saw them ate different kind of sweet stuffs. But now that I've met you... I wonder," she let out as she took a small amount of sponge cake in her fork and eat it, after gulping the small form she looked at him. "Do most of people were like you?"

Leo stayed silent, mostly keeping himself busy by sipping his tea. He listened to every word he said, but he didn't reply a thing, probably trying to regain back his calm composure. Truthfully, he didn't feel hurt a slight but, surprised is all. Leo almost sees it as a praise...since he believed he's such a dull man, he never dreamed of..'amusing' somebody. So, the artist made up his mind, that he's happy about it.
Her question brought Leo back from his thoughts, and at that, he gently put his cup down to ponder on how to answer. He smiled at first, and spoke, "Most of the people I met adore sweets. My mother likes sweets too. I never did, and she tried to force-feed me those things." He paused for a while, chuckling slightly at the memory.
"The answer to your question is...I don't know. Probably not. I'm the different one," he shrugged his shoulders as he said that, then picks up his teacup for a sip. And in between his sips, Leo faintly state, "Anyway, Rayl, you looked lovely when you smile."

Rayl sighed and nodded, "I see..." she let out, so some people do like sweets; while few don't... like Leo. She couldn't help but think all about it, she haven't thought that humans minds were different... they can like sweets... or maybe dislike. They can be mean... and be good.
She looked down at her cake, she took a small amount and eat it once again; then looked at her tea which she haven't drink. She took it and gently holds the cup and drink it. Her hold were almost fragile like.
She paused once she hear he saw her smile. She don't know how to reply on that... well of course, she was not used whether how to reply such compliment... or was that an insult? Her mind once again bugged her.
She looks at him and sighed, "T-thank you... I guess," she only replied back, not knowing if her reply would be the right one.. or not.

Leo sets down his teacup, and slightly nodded at her attempt to thank him, almost as if she's unfocused of it. "You're welcome." He had already constructed a sentence to continue his words, but he's unsure of whether or not to say so, considering assassins are truly out of his understanding to begin with. Plus, Rayl's a girl.
"I recommend that you should not hide your emotions like that, Rayl. Or you could never fully understand yourself, and how you honestly feel." Leo paused for a while, as in trying to seep his own words in his head while trying to find any errors. Seems like he had successfully detected one, "I-I mean...well, if it's crucial to deceive your opponents by hiding your emotions, since you're an assassin, then please ignore my recommendation."
He scratched his hair a bit, seeming guilty of his actions, then stood up from his seat. "E-excuse me... I'll go and see if they have any marble cakes in store..." At that, he left to the counter yet again.
'Okay Leo, never ever speak without thinking ever again..'

Rayl sighed, a bit flabbergast. How can she hide her emotion if she only knew few emotions? Emotions that has been undiscovered, and she have discovered through the following years of being an assasin.
One of the emotions she knew is fear, hate, anger, and sadness. She knew nothing of how would it be to be happy. Or being with someone you loved most or you cared most.
How can she answer Leo if she don't know what other emotion was? She sighed aggravate as she take the cup of tea and drinks it. She looked up at Leo with a confused gaze, but then looked down as Leo stands and search for the Marble Cake he was looking for.

Leo blankly walked towards the counter, his eyes downcast as he trudged his way along avoiding the tables and chairs. There's a line at the counter, so Leo took some time eying the cakes behind the glass pane from afar. '...Blackforest, huh..?'
The artist blankly turned his gaze towards the entrance of this cafe, seeming that something bright out there caught his attention. The sight immediately made his eyes shot wide...for the first time after weeks.
'It's that same guy from the mining area!!' Upon sharper inspection, it seems like he gained quite a lot of new gang, but there doesn't seem to be that leader woman with him. ...And they have guns and knives, their eyes targeted to a store a few ways away. Jewelery store, he figured.
Until one of them turned and caught Leo staring at them. And its not the underlings either, it's the freaking mid-boss, Orwin.
'Oh crud.'
He sprinted his way back to Rayl, almost knocking a random chair by his sudden motion. After reaching her, he quickly took hold of her shoulders to pull her up, "Rayl, we need to hide, NOW." That sudden noise at the door entrance jumped Leo as he quickly took hold of one of Rayl's hands and dragged her to the nearest hidden place he could find.
Which then turns out to be the store room where they placed all the mops and buckets. After pulling the assassin inside with him, Leo shut the door tight with a slam, trapping them both in the darkness of a small storeroom. He leaned his ear to the door, definitely hearing some ruckus outside.

Rayl contently ate the remaining cake in her plate, the craving chocolate cake was scrumptious that she did not think twice to eat it. Though, she hoped that she can take the cake and just bring it to herself, yet she knew how do cakes can be easily be rotten.
She sighed, looking at the remaining cake; the cake Leo have given to her. She took her fork onto the cake and slice the side of the fork; surprisingly, she felt her shoulders being pulled up. She looked surprised at the brown haired man in front of her, she gazed at him in confusion; as he looked at her nervously.
"O-oi, Leo, why the su-" she was cut off when Leo suddenly caught her hand and dragged her inside the cafe more. She gasped as she was dragged together inside a room with full of buckets and mops.
Leo then slammed the door, no light illuminates the place. Rayl sighed as she could feel Leo's ear leaning on the door. She could feel the heat of Leo's hand on hers. She blinked confusedly as she looked at the figure in front of her, which is Leo's figure.
"Leo, who are we hiding from?" She asks as she leaned her side at the wall.
