Alessa has been wondering around Kumo for quiet a time in search for herbs in order to learn more about them. She tries to learn more about herbs and medication in order to cure her sickness that is said to be fatal for her life. She had arrived in these forest called Bamboo Thicket, and despite the loads of bamboo around, there are also other fauna worth to be investigate.
"There just so much of them! I don't know if this basket can hold much of it,"Alessa thought as she cheerfully plucking any herbs she can find in this completely unknown place for her. One herb and another, Alessa felt very happy on gathering until she does not realized she have went deep inside the forest. Just when the sun are set, she then realized how long she have been wondering inside the forest.
"Oh no, I've lost track of the time!" Alessa thinks as she quickly pack up and ready to leave the forest. After walking hastily for a time, she then realized something that she never thought would had happened to her.
".... I-I'm lost," she spoke softly as she is felt depressed about it.

Aha~ what's this? A lonely little maiden lost in the woods... If this isn't a cliche then I don't know what is. Girl, you're begging to be taken.
Ritsu was snoozing in her den when she heard footsteps on the foliage several meters away. Curious as to who or what stumbled in this part of the thickets, the kitsune shook off the debris from her fur and stalked the intruder. The girl had been upwind from her, and just from the human the drifted into her nose, Ritsu knew that the person was definitely not from anywhere near here. She spied on for a while, wondering why the girl was picking random herbs without thinking what they could be. Some of the plants the intruder placed in her basket was poisonous, others were potent medicinal herbs that should be handled more carefully. Seriously, was she trying to kill herself?
The kitsune followed her query soundlessly, and for a while, she had hoped that the girl would notice her presence. After all, the Kumo forests were home to many mystical creatures, it was seeped in magical powers so heavy that some monks dedicate years of their lives training here. Yet, this young woman--who was most likely still a virgin from what Ritsu scented of her-- was just wandering around, oblivious to the predatory, and often times, lustful creatures that lived in this woods.
Oh, girl, you are lucky we don't have unicorns around here. Wait... we do. Kirin or not, that guy has a thing for lost virgins like these.
When it became obvious that the girl wasn't aware where she was going, Ritsu sat on a tree stump and pondered her next move. To torment or not to torment...? Hmm... decisions, decisions. Though she didn't mean to cause any harm to this person, she was still a kitsune, and she was nothing if not able to trick and confuse mortals.
Without warning, she jumped out from the bushes and peered at the person with curious amber eyes. She wondered if her victim knew of kitsunes and omens they brought? Perhaps she would only think of her as a normal fox, who just happened to be golden of fur and much larger than usual. Now that would be a treat. Ritsu circled the girl, her tail swishing sassily from left to right, waiting and wondering of this person will run or try to pet her.
We shall see...

"I should've been more careful, I guess I got too excited..." Alessa sighed as she still tries to find her ways our of this forest. Alessa gets more anxious as it is getting dark. She fears the dark. She was thinking if it will be a good idea to use her magic to get out of here, but she decided to not do so. It is not wise to use magic in a totally unknown place as it might lured something unwanted.
"What am I going to do...?"Tears starts to built up as she is getting more panic. She then shakes her head in order to calm herself. She did travels alone a lot before, and she will manage it somehow. With that she slowly calms herself until suddenly something jump out of the bushes.
"Eeek!" Alessa shrieks as its definitely shock her to the core. It is fast moving, it is.. furry... and yellowish. "A fox?" her head tries turns left and right as she tries to follow the fox movement as the fox circling her. Still in panic, Alessa actually stands there idly as she tries to not lost the sight of the fox. At first she thinks about out running the fox until she then sense some magical aura from the fox. "I-it is not normal!" after getting a grasp of the situations, her eyes finally turn serious with focus as she grab her necklace. Electrical energy starts to built and and a Blue White Katana was form from the necklace with thundering sounds.
She then quickly point her Katana on the fox as threat to show that she is not a prey. "I-I don't know what are you, but please do not try to do anything rash," she look at the fox with her sharp eye. She does not want to harm anything, she just simply doesn't want a fight to start.

At the sight of the lightning sword, Ritsu stopped and flicked her tail.
"Well, well, not as helpless as I thought. Heh, this should be fun."
She turned towards the girl and raised her tail. With a sudden flash of golden fire, the kitsune's eight tails fanned out from behind her as her eyes glowed blue. No one points a weapon at her and not receive a similar display of threats. Eight fireballs circled her flaming tails, mesmerizing anyone who dared to follow their movements, rendering them harmless. It was one of her powers, manipulating the perception of her opponents, and hopefully, the soothing wave-like movements would deter the girl's conception of her actual location. It was not like Ritsu intended to harm her. She merely wanted to play with her.
Patiently, the kitsune waited until the crucial moment when the girl lowered her sword by just an inch, and when that happened, she instantly hopped forward and pounced on the girl, knocking her down on the soft bed of dead leaves that littered the thickets. Still hypnotized, the sword user was not aware of what had happened to her. Ritsu made sure that the illusion remained before she suddenly stopped her magic, hid her many tails, and just sat there on the girl's stomach looking like a harmless woodland critter sniffing at a lost girl she had found.
Just to add to her facade of innocence, the golden fox barked a high pitched sound. She learned long ago that girls tend to like furry animals that sound just as cute as they looked.

Alessa thought that the unknown fox will run away due to the flashy and thundering sound of the Electrical magic made by her Katana. But it does not seems to be like that. Cautious when the fox turns to her as it tails started to raise. Sudden flash of golden fire startled Alessa which cause her to take a defensive stance with her Katana. "T-this isn't good," she thinks as she tries to analyse the fox.
As she observed the tails of the fox Alessa's mind starting to feel light. Her visions start to blur and gets disarray. Alessa start to get confused why would she felt like that until she noticed that she is being hypnotized. It's too late to retaliate for her as she helplessly sway under the spell of the fox.
As she starts to lose her balance and stance, the fox pounced her. She fell down gently on the soft bed of dead leave as the fox sat on her stomach. All of these happened when she was still in a trance under the fox spells. Alessa then suddenly awoken by the trance when the fox stopped its magic.
Dumbfounded on how did she fall down, she felts a bit of panic as she tries to stand up but noticing the fox she just saw are now on her stomach. At first, she felt fear as she did not know if the fox would harm or not. Then the fox just seemingly stare at her as it barks at her like an innocent fox.
She then understand that the fox does not mean any harm, which then makes her glad as she release sigh of relief. Looking at the mysterious and magical fox, Alessa face look down a bit as she felt bad about threatening the fox. "I-I'm sorry, I did not mean to raise my weapon against you, I guess I'm just being panic," Alessa said politely. Although she do not know if this fox understands nor will reply her, but she believe that the fox may understand her in someway since it is not an ordinary fox.
"M-may I sit?" Alessa ask for permission, since she do not warm to alarm the fox by suddenly move from her position. It's not like she can go anywhere right now as she is lost. Then again, she felt calmer, as she has someone to keep her accompany in this unknown and big forest in Kumo.

The kitsune hopped away and sat in front of the girl, somewhat disappointed that her game couldn't last any longer. Maybe she should've-- no, nevermind, playing mindtricks on these kinds of humans, no matter how magical they are, wasn't too fun. The kind of people Ritsu loved to torment was the superstitious that scream omens and catastrophes whenever she showed herself to them. Most of the citizens of Kumo were like that. This one, however, clearly was not.
Ritsu sniffed at the stranger as she swished her tail thoughtfully. No more lightning strikes, right? She knew of many other mystical creatures not so different from her who have power over electricity, and those were not the kind of critters she liked to spend time with. Most of them were quick to anger or fast to startle, often leaving her scorched and zapped. She didn't like the sensation of being electrocuted, all tingly and disorienting, and she certainly didn't want to spend days trying to groom down her fur after they have been shocked. Do they even realize just how hard it was to lick all eight of her tails?
Pushing that thought towards the back of her mind, Ritsu turned her eyes towards the katana that fell on the ground after she pounced on the girl. 'That's an impressive feat for a human.' Transmuting an items from one form to another was typically out of a mortal's grasp, but this one seemed to manage it. Maybe this human wasn't in as much danger as the kitsune thought she'd be.
"Did you know that those blue-leafed grasses are poisonous?" She spoke in the girl's mind, "They're called the Kirin's Beard."
Before she could extract a response from the girl, however, another presence loomed in the area. Unlike the innocent-looking, herb-gathering girl that was here, this one was a lot more familiar. The person's steps were quiet, threatening, even though they were disguised to not be so. The kitsune listened tentatively, sure of the scent and sensation.
'A prowler...'
A ninja.

Wincing in pain for the umpteenth time, she paused and look at the place she was in. This past few days, her mind power has been unstable, letting all drifted thoughts enter her mind, in which she accepts willingly. It's as if making her suffer for her uncontrolled powers she never master. Gwen, her black fire-lizard, encircled her; Saiya look up at Gwen and gave out a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry, Gwennie..." she let out, striding through the woods quietly.
She paused from walking, the thoughts filled in her mind came from two beings. She look up at the sky, the sky is turning reddish-orange; indicating the sun starts to set.
"Flame...?" she felt two different elements, staying near her radius; one is lightning, and the other... the same element she has.
She look at Gwen and nodded, raising her arm for the black fire-lizard to perched on; which Gwen did, she look down at her. "You need to stay by my side, it seems a little bit dangerous... hopefully not," she spoke out softly as she let Gwen inside her black muffler she was wearing; for her to keep her intact and close to her. She would never let her fire-lizard be of harm... she's afraid to loss her.
Upon checking that Gwen is firmly staying inside her, her eyes narrowed; suddenly leaping from tree to tree. She could sense one from the two beings needs help, that's what she thought.
She paused, hiding from the leaves above near the two beings; she furrowed her eyebrow upon seeing a girl, just below her age. And a fox... but not just a simple or ordinary fox. She could sense great power lying from it.
"Prowler? Is the fox indicating me?" she thought, but suddenly surprise why the fox thought drifted on her. She look sternly at the fox, it's like some mystical, mythical creatures her mother told her when she was still a kid.
Upon drifting into those thoughts, she was off guard...

Right after when Alessa ask permission to sit, the mysterious fox hops away from her and start to stay a couple of feet from her as it stares at her with cautious. Alessa can only bows a bit as a sign of gratitude as she tries to sit down in order to calm herself from the recent panic she has. She tries to observe the fox's behaviour, and it seems that it is cautiously looking at her and to her Katana. She then remembers that it is her that starts the threat, thats when she wanted to explain that she actually does not mean any harm until something suddenly speaks inside her mind.
"I-it spoke?" No, she did not hear from her ear, rather than from inside her mind. This makes her more confident in believing that this fox is special. Just as she wanted to reply the fox, she realized that the fox's focus has shifted to something else. Realizing that, she quickly focus her inner magical power to release a harmless and invisible electromagnetic wave that helps her in locate any living things at a large area around her. Indeed, there is something else nearby.
"A person? But this feeling... is not human!" Alessa then quickly stands up as she face the direction where Saiya was hiding herself. Taking in her defensive stance, she now finally in her calm and focus mode. She felt lucky as the fox who defeat her actually is a harmless being, but she cannot expect the same thing from this other being, who she sense is not human. She must not repeat the same mistake twice.
Unable to visually sees that being, she then focus her strength on her arms before slashing the air at fast phase, creating waves of sharp winds towards the location of the unknown being that she sense. The attack was not meant to be aim at that being, but rather to cut the bamboo trees that the being hides behind it.
As the trees being cut, a figure slowly can be seen as the debris and leaves falls down. Before anything else, this time Alessa make sure that her words are more clear than before. "I do no wish to harm anyone, if you wish the same, please show yourself without showing any hostility," she said in serious tone with her eyes still does not lost focus on the fox nearby her. She may already know it does not cause her harm, but she can be so sure. Even so, she does not want to harm anyone as her word complies. She is a pacifist, after all.

Her eyes narrowed as she saw the girl look at her way, and so does the fox; both are not ordinary beings, she's sure of that as it seems they have sensed her. She was a demon, lived at the Demon World once... She bites the bottom of her lips, and stay still.
But a strong wave of aura suddenly directed on her way, not to attack her directly but just open where she was hiding. The girl suddenly spoke, she means no harm, she said... and she could feel that she can trust her. But looking at the fox... she was having a doubt.
She sighed softly, standing up from where she was hiding; with her muffler on, no one can see the fire-lizard nor anyone can hurt her. "I mean no harm..." she let out, raising both of her hands in the air. "I just sensed some strange... aura nearby, so I check it..." she explain, smiling as she closes her eyes.
"I apologize, I guess..."

Ritsu felt the fur on her back bristle at the sight and scent of the ninja that the mage girl exposed. She had little love for ninjas because of the many bloody entanglements she had experienced with their kunais and jutsus. After all, there were people who want to exorcise or kill kitsunes like her. Even after five hundred years, she could still remember the terrifying nights when she had to flee to keep the skin on her back. She had been a lowly three-tails back then, and immature spirit unable to protect itself from its highly skilled pursuers.
'But no longer.'
She stood defensively, flicking her in agitation, ready to respond to whatever the stealthy warrior had in store for her. No harm, the ninja had said. The kitsune could almost spit at those words. Ninjas were skilled at deception. In fact, they were nothing if not deceptive. It was the name of the game, and Ritsu had learned to master it over the centuries. What's more, this particular masked fighter was not a simple human. She had demon blood in her, there was no denying it. The stench of it was enough to make the kitsune bare her teeth.
"I don't trust you, prowler." Ritsu spoke mentally, "You only show yourself when you want to kill something. Shouldn't you be saying that you're apologizing because you want to take our lives?"
That was when the fox was engulfed in golden flames that searing the nearby vegetation. It grew larger and larger until her transformation was complete, leaving a golden-haired youth in its place. The shirt on her back was black, while the color of her trousers was that of moistened earth. Though her frame was wiry, it was equipped with well-toned flesh, the body of a person who knew how to fight. Admittedly, Ritsu was more inclined to using magics, but she was as fast and nimble as any ninja nowadays. If this one was looking for trouble, she should have known better than to mess with a hachibi.
"Oi," She barked out with her human voice, husky and defiant. Her amber eyes was aflame with warning. "So what is it you really want, youkai?"

Saiya couldn't argue with their thoughts demon or a ninja; she can't even satisfy others with her sweet talks or even truthful explanation. She sighed, leaping from the tree she was standing down to the ground; she look at the fox whom enters her mind. Tilting her head to the side in sheer confusion, and also in amusement from the fox in front of them. "You've got me wrong... it's okay if you don't trust me, because of my former job," she let out, smiling sheepishly as she looks at the fox and at the girl.
"And most of all, I'm not someone who kills with no reason..." she added, just as then, the fox suddenly engulfed in flames. Thus, making the fox transforms into a woman.
She look at the fox in pure surprise; it was just like those tales her mother told her... mythical foxes...
"Eh, that's..." she trailed off, just as then; Gwen suddenly went out at her muffler, perching herself on her shoulder as she stretched her little wings.
She could feel the great powers of the woman in front of her; she smiled, closing her eyes. "Eh?" she laughed nervously, waving her hands from side to side. "Nothing... I came with no threats here... I was just wandering this place, and suddenly sense yours and the girls' aura. So I thought there's a problem here..." she explained, opening her eyes; hopefully they would trust her answer, as she was telling the truth.

Alessa cautiously watches as the unknown girl whom resembles as a ninja reveals herself from her hiding with raising her hand as a sign that she did not come here for a fight. Her words also saying that she meant no harm, this makes Alessa feels more ease that she is not an enemy.
Just as when she wanted to relax herself, the fox seems to not pleased with the ninja girl. It appears that the fox had some history against ninja, and thus making it harder to trust the ninja. Alessa did feels a bit of doubt as words from the fox are true, ninja are assassins in nature. They had many tricks on their sleeves and this reminds Alessa to not let her guard down just yet.
Suddenly, condensed magic starts to form around the fox as golden flames starts to engulf the fox. The fox then morph itself into a ladt, a pretty and matured one. This makes Alessa amazed for quite a time until her trance was broke when the fox that is now a lady spoke with her voice now, demanding reasons from the ninja.
Alessa did not sense any lies from the ninja, and she felt sadness when the ninja tries to explain about her being a ninja is a past tense. She then felt a bit of a surprise when a fire lizard suddenly flies out from the girls and land on her shoulder. "I-it is so cute..." Alessa accidentally spurt her thoughts before she then close her mouth with a bit of embarrassment due to interrupting their conversation.
She then listens to the ninja's reasons. With Alessa's eye fixated to the ninja's eye, Alessa now fully believe that she meant no harms. She know it might be rude to tell this to the lady fox whome she just met, but she has to do it. Preventing a fight is also a thing that Alessa will do.
"I-I'm sorry to interrupt, but what she was trying to say is true. I do not sense any lies from her," Alessa looks at the lady fox as she tries to supports the ninja girl whom she also just met. She believes that neither of them wants to start a fight, and since she believe she is the one that starts it, she should be the one that stop it. "I'll take the blame for starting up the fight," Alessa bows down to both of them before conjuring her magic in order to change her katana back into the necklace form that hangs on her neck. "I believe you too are not the one that prefers to fight right?" Alessa looks at Ritsu, hoping that she will agree to her and do not starts the fight.

"Eh? If you quit being a ninja then shouldn't you be dead by now? Don't you guys kill deserters?" Ritsu shifted her weight from one foot to the other and rested a hand on her hip, though she was still ready to react if the ninja proved to be lying like they tend to do. "Is it because you ate someone? Heh." It was no secret that demons preyed on the weak humans, and the kitsune was sure that the young woman had demon blood in her. She could smell its stench, it oozed from the ninja's very gaze.
"And don't worry, little bird," Ritsu told the lightning user, who didn't seem to want to cause trouble, "I won't start anything if she doesn't. Though..." She tapped her chin three times and looked from the ninja to the mage, "I'd like to remind you and this is my territory. I scent-mark and everything, but I guess your adorably puny noses can't detect that."
Her eyes couldn't help but stare at the winged black thing on the ninja's shoulder. It was a firelizard, there was no doubt about it, but why would a stealth worker take care of one of those noisy buzzards?
Ritsu suddenly felt hungry despite herself. Firelizards taste like chicken, after all. Sighing, she raised a hand and snapped her fingers, conjuring a bright fireball on her palm. It lit the surroundings and defiantly chased away the darkness. She ignored the instant protest from the ninja's firelizard, and allowed the fireball to float in mid-air.
"So, let's see here. Hi, I'm a fox, nice to meet you, little bird. You too, prowler." Ritsu grinned devilishly at the two, displaying the sharp canines under her lips. "You both can go now, unless... you want to join me for supper and a little romp afterwards. That bat you have there is fat enough to fill my belly until tomorrow."

"L-Little bird?" Alessa startled as she wonders why she called her that. Alessa however felt relief that she won't tries to harm the ninja whom Alessa's knew that is innocent. She then felt bad when the lady fox told her that this is her territory as she realized its partly her fault for getting herself lost and end up venturing too deep inside the forest. She also felt a bit embarrassed as the lady fox somewhat saying her nose is adorable...
Alessa then become cautious when the lady fox suddenly conjures a fireball on her palm before raising it on the air. She then suddenly introduce her self as a fox, which then makes her quickly fix her posture as she stands up straight before bowing to her. "M-My name is Suzuna, Alessa Suzuna," she shyly introduced herself to lady fox in a polite manner. Alessa then blushes as the lady fox are saying rather... words that are still too early for her. "I-I will leave once I know the way out of this forest, I-I'm actually lost right now..." she paused as she felt embarrassed about the fact that she is lost. She then quickly look at the lady fox's eye as she mention about eating the firelizard. "Y-you are going to eat that cute thing?" she ask with a shock face of hers.
It seems like she is having hard time seeing Ritsu as a fox rather than seeing her as an exceptional powerful lady.

Saiya was grateful at Alessa, the girl have thankfully told the fox that she's not a threat to them. At least someone have trusted or believed her for being a good being. Though, the fox-turning-to-a-woman is still not content... still accusing her of a prowler, and for her being a ninja whom is best for stealth and cunning to their prey.
Saiya frowned, she was just a ninja of a short time and the rest a wanderer and former student of a school. She look at Gwen who is perching on her shoulder and sighed, looking at the woman.
She flinched at the straightness of the woman... "My past isn't your business," she let out, her voice stern; keeping her calm on check. "I never did what you assume," she explained calmly.
She smiled proudly as she look at Gwen when Alessa stated that her firelizard is cute. But her blood turns cold when the woman, who introduced herself as Ritsu, summoned a small amount of fire into her palms and have those hunger eyes towards her firelizard.
Her calm eyes started to be stern, looking at Ritsu with those serious eyes. "I'm Saiya... and this is Gwen, my firelizard..." she introduces, a stern smile on her face. "I wouldn't mind leaving your territory, it's yours, no one will take it from you. But please don't try anything bad towards my firelizard..."
She sighed, suddenly smiling calmly; taking a bow. "A pleasure to meet both of you," she let out, suddenly looking at Alessa. "If you want, I can led you towards the nearby town..." [/blockquote]
