[TANA]
Rayl sighed as she put aside the book that she was reading, she can't stop thinking the thought of what a certain acquaintance have told her. Trust. A simple word, yet a difficult one to do.
How can someone trust others if trust have never taught her how to? The only thing she can used well of her element is to trust into it. That's what her acquaintance have told her. "Trust..." she let out, letting it through her mind. She looked at the peaceful lake and sighed almost defeatedly.
What do trust mean? She doesn't know, but she is willing to learn. For the sake of herself, and her element. She stood up, dusting some dirt at her clothing that consists of a plain white blouse, black pants and a black leather boots.
She started to walk in the water, standing almost in the middle of it. Her eyes shone with great sincerity at the water. "Will you be able to trust me, my element?" she uttered almost questioningly, a hope left from her voice. The water made a sudden ripple effect, as if understanding the thing she said.
She slowly raised her arms, little by little, the water floats. She swings it slowly from side to side, the water followed her movement. "I owe so much trust on you, ne?"

Tana had been wandering all over the beautiful Ianne, trying to find a person who could continue teaching her the elements. Although she had not yet mastered air bending, it did not matter to her whether she would find another air bender or a water bender first. As she walked, deep in thought, she came across a lake where at the same moment a woman was walking into the water. She watched from her place between nearby trees, her eyes widening as she saw the woman able to move the water to her whim.
A water bender! Her face lit up in a smile as she realized this could be the perfect chance to learn water bending from a bender that she was starting to think was nonexistent in this domain. With a light skip Tana ran towards the water, stopping just before her feet would enter. She called to the woman with a "hey" and smiled at her in hopes this woman would teach her. "You can bend water," she exclaimed with excitement.
"My name is Tana and I am the avatar! I have been looking for a water bending teacher and I saw you moving the water! Would you please consider teaching me," She requested with her hands clasped together as though begging and a hopeful look in her eyes.

Just as she was about to raise the level of the water, a girl intrude her meditation; excitingly went at the edge of the water. Rayl suddenly raises her arms directly at the girl, the water turned to ice as it suddenly pointed threateningly at the girl. She glared at the girl, though not the meanest or coldest glare.
Upon realizing that the girl is no harm, she lowers her arms and looked at the girl skeptically when the girl introduces herself almost freely. But what Rayl is captivated at the girl named Tana is she introduced herself as an avatar. "An avatar? Is that some kind of a crude nickname for you?" she retorted as she looked down at the water.
All she understand at Tana is for her to be a mentor. A water controller mentor, she raised an eyebrow and scoffs. "Who do you think you are to freely request me something that is so impossible, girl?" she let out. She was flabbergast at how straight forward the girl is, she doesn't even know Rayl. Tana is a controller of water, but that doesn't mean she can teach her.

A surprised look manifested onto Tana's face as she stared into the spike of this woman's icy weapon. She looked at the woman's face, her smile having fallen off her face at this person's sudden defense. "I promise I mean no harm," she said calmly, slowly gaining a slight smile again as the woman dropped her defense.
"You've never heard of the avatar," she questioned, forgetting that this was a different world from her own and apparently they did not exist here. She quickly straightened herself out and smiled as she explained. "The avatar, in my world, is a person born with the ability to control all four elements. This person is charged with the duty of keeping peace within the world and between the real world and spirit world."
An inquisitive look appeared on her face at the woman calling the job she requested to be impossible. "I have had a master of fire bending teach me to control fire and a master of air bending teach me to control air. In the avatar cycle, I must learn water bending next and I don't know how many people in this world have that ability." She looked down a moment as a somewhat melancholy look appeared on her face. "I am sorry if I at all offended you but I was just hoping that you might be willing to teach me as I, in my current state, know nothing of water bending.

Rayl raised an eyebrow and scoff, "No, duh!"' she growled a bit irk at the feeling of another human trying to enter her cold exterior. Once Tana is finished explaining what Avatar means in their world, she scoffs once again; holding a mock look on her face. She looked up at the fair warm sky, "Peaceful, say... avatar, if your duty is peace throughout the world. Why do some still suffers for discrimination?"
Though, after hearing her somewhat good intention plea; she sighed and looked at her water. Suddenly a devilish smirk hinted on her pale lips, she looked at Tana with amuse eyes. "If you say so... then," she started out, as she step away from the water and stood her way in front of Tana. "I will be your mentor then... "

When this woman faced her with the question of why people still suffer, Tana lifted her head and looked at her with worry. "I can only do the best that I can to assist. I can't control people's individual actions but I can try to change their minds. All I can do is try," she finished, looking down a bit sad and wishing she did have the power to help everyone who suffers. Receiving that question made her feel quite powerless in that moment and weak, knowing that despite all she could ever hope to strive for that there would still be wicked souls in the world out to get others. All she really could do was try to stop or change them.
She looked up again as the woman said she would be her mentor and her saddened look slowly formed into that of a smile growing wider. She quickly moved her hands together in front of her chest, her right fist landing against the bottom of her erect left palm and she gave a small bow. "Thank you very much, Shifu," she said in a nearly breathless voice while she attempted to hide her great happiness under serious and respectful student behaviors. "I, avatar Tana, am greatly honored to have you be my mentor."

Rayl nodded almost nonchalantly as she stood out of the water, looking at the ground then to Tana. "Tell me, girl... how many buckets of water do this lake has?" she suddenly asked as she gaze at the lake they were in. She then raised her right arm just in her mid chest as the water followed her. She directed her arm at Tana's, letting the water above the girl.
"If I let down my arm, what do you think will happen then?" but just as she let her left arm down, her right arm swing the water to the lake.
She suddenly walked at the big tree and sat down, looking at the girl. "Your first assignment, measure how many buckets of water this lake has..." she lazily said, her left hand shoo-ing her away to do her first task.

At the sudden question Tana just blinked while looking at her new Shifu. She began saying "well, I" then trailed off as she saw Rayl moving the water over towards them. She watched it as the next question was asked then looked towards Rayl as she left her arm down. Tana shut her eyes and braced herself for impact but when it didn't happen she looked at Rayl and noticed the water moving where she had cast it back into the lake.
Tana watched as Rayl went to sit by a tree then gave her an assignment. Eyes gaping, Tana questioned "what?" She wanted to question if this was a joke but her Shifu didn't seem to be joking. She looked over at the lake wondering how she was supposed to go about measuring this. Was she supposed to gather a few thousand buckets then count them she wondered. "How is that even possible," she asked, looking back towards Rayl again with a concerned face.

Rayl looked over at Tana who has a disbelievingly look at how she can do that. She looked calmly at her 'student', she doesn't know why she have agreed to teach her how to control water; but how can she teach her control it, if she haven't fully taken control her water. Her own water.
"To control the water, one must be calm. No, not just calm but of course think of the impossible things to the water. But of course, being impossible is stupid; but you could get too stupid just to control it." she let out, looking at her then watching her how will she be able to do her order.
The truth is, Tana, Rayl feel that Tana can be able to control the water well. She is an avatar, right? No one can really measure the water of this lake. But she and Rayl can control it, for it; the water will follow their order. The water shall follow Tana without counting how many buckets of water.

Tana listened to her Shifu with a bewildered stare as she attempted to comprehend what in the world she was saying. With a slight nod, Tana let out a confused but unquestioning "huh." She looked towards the water with a heavy breath then turned to walk towards the edge. Tana removed some of her special clothes, stripping down to some undergarments that were wrapped snug around her chest and pelvic area. She placed her things folded neatly on a nearby log then stood right next to the edge again in her now bare feet.
"Okay, water, it's just you and me" she said quietly as she watched it, wishing the slight waves were responses but knew it was just the water's normal functioning. Tana closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. As she breathed in, she slowly moved her hands in front of herself with her palms touching. She slowly pressed her hands down with her middle finger tips touching as she breath out then opened her eyes again.
Tana slowly took a step into the water, standing near the edge with one leg a bit in front of the other then crouched down to dip her finger tips in. She lowered her head and closed her eyes again, breathing deep and slow as she focused on the water around her feet and finger tips. She meditated on the water for a few minutes in that position then slowly slid her right foot forward on an exhale. On the next inhale, she pulled her back foot forward and brushed the palms of her hands against the water before slowly standing up.
The water made a slight wave around her as she moved. She had a sudden thought in her head from touching the water, a random number as if it were the answer. She looked out over the water as she tried to calculate it in her head. She wasn't sure how deep the water was and began quickly doubting herself but turned to face Rayl and said "two thousand four hundred fifty eight." Her face flinched as soon as she finished speaking, unsure of herself and feeling like it was just a random guess and a bad one at that.

Rayl watched Tana intently, she was interested at how such a girl could come up so quickly and honestly at her, without even acknowledging who she really was. She grunted for that thought, though she questioned herself why did she agree on teaching her control the water. "I didn't teach her because she's the so-called avatar..." she thought out, it was true... or was she looking for some entertainment.
She shrugged the thought as she saw some ripple effects made by the water and how Tana suddenly went so serious. She sighed and stood, right... for entertainment, but nonetheless; it really entertained her at how so serious and dedicated the girl is.
Tana suddenly answered, she smirks and walked near the water. "Sixty," she said out loud, amused at how Tana concentrated. She have been a student who always followed orders, but will she really follow orders from her master whom she just knew only by now?
"Not bad for being stupid," she remarked, her eyes shone deep amusity. "Well then," she started to walked above the water as she let Tana float up at the water. "You said, you are an avatar that controls element. What elements have you master now?"

Tana waited uncomfortably for her Shifu to answer with whatever the correct answer was. Upon hearing it, her eyes widened and she wondered for a moment. "Well um you never told me what size bucket to measure it by," she trailed off feeling a bit uncertain and uncomfortable at responding in such a way to her.
Tana stood tall again to answer the next question with a slight him of pride as she began. "I grew up mastering fire bending then, upon turning sixteen, I was sent after six months to an air temple to learn air bending. It hadn't yet been a full year since I'd been there then I fell through some kind of portal and wound up in your world. Because of that, I have not yet fully mastered air bending but have picked up a fair amount," she finished, cringing a bit as she said the last sentence with a feeling of shame in herself.

Rayl looked at her in full distraught, contemplating if Tana is so stupid of herself or just dumb. She sighed, rolling her eyes. "You are less for more than sixty, chicken face..." she grunted as she suddenly glanced the girl from top to toe.
She nodded once she have heard what elements have Tana mastered, though upon hearing the fire element; she started to be... in a foul mood. "Interesting..." she mumbled, her eyes cast down on the lake below.
"Well then..." she started as she coldly look at Tana. "If you're here with me, never uses fire... or I'll kill you and that avatar of a life of yours won't exist anymore, got that?" she sneered waiting for an answer but then paused as she controls the water to let Tana on her own IN the water.
"My next order..." she trailed out, suddenly casting her gaze down at her student. "Why don't you feel the water at the moment? So you could understand how water feels at you?" and there goes the cold voice and her riddles that somewhat has the hint. Once finish, she nodded and once again back at her resting area.
