Trekking three miles of metal streets under the pouring rain took almost half an hour. Despite the relatively long travel carrying an unconscious woman and towing an injured feline, Sasuke was a bit grateful that they didn't stumble into more trouble. As long that they kept quiet and moved in a manner in which they were fast enough to get anywhere yet slow enough not to attract predators. There were a couple of instances where Sasuke felt that they were being stalked but it turned out that he was just being paranoid. They finally arrived in front of the large hospital known to be the best in the country.
Too bad the only build Sasuke saw was half-destroyed one that looked like that it could collapse at any moment.
Sasuke looked down on Takato then back up towards the damaged building, "Tch..." Sasuke clucked his tongue in slight irritation. They have traveled all this way only to arrive on a hospital already destroyed? "We might as well check it out."

Takato felt a bit irritated, all that running all the fighting! All for this? The building looked deserted. Falling to the ground about to fall at any minute. He took a deep breath calming himself a bit. The lion limped as he followed Sasuke into the building. It wasn't as if he had any other choice now did he. As they entered the building Takato looked around. It looked as if this place had been attacked. You could see the mess everywhere. Scratch marks on wall, papers everywhere. There was a very soft but hint smell of blood. Takato looked around the room.
The room was quiet. As he expected it to be. Though he had hoped that this room would be busy but then again. It is night, there could be people sleeping. Takato took a step forward, he smelt something in the air it smelled like... people? Or was it just the faint smell of the previous people that where here before?

Sasuke shifted Kida on his shoulder and said, "You better take her." He carefully placed the unconscious woman on the lion's back and placed a hand on the hilt of his sword. Being in a closed environment like this was dangerous if they weren't prepared. Syns could attack at any moment given the evidence of the presence in the hospital. At the very least, the hospital was dry, Sasuke can use some fire techniques he had mastered in the last few years. He wouldn't be entirely useless in this arena.
Since the hospital didn't seem to have any living human attendant, let alone medical professional, Sasuke thought that they should just get some medical equipment and leave before the Syns sniffed them out. A splint, some painkillers, and perhaps some food as well. The lobby was deathly silent except for the faint hum of gears somewhere in the room. Sasuke looked for the source of the small noise and noticed a small camera mounted on the lobby's pillars.
Was somebody watching them...?

Hunger was palpable in the air inside of the hospital. Pure hunger, not gluttony. Oh, no, it couldn't be gluttony. How so when the only source of sustanence they could find was horrid bits? Left overs from others' feasts, bodies that were cold as ice and stale. Not to mention the few living there had been. They had been sickening, barely worth killing as their flesh had been weak and riddled with disease. Such was the prey that had been so easily caught, lying in their bed moaning and screaming.
The nurses had been the best, oh yes, the perfect prey for the infected and the pure Syn that had broken into the hospital. The nurses had not been fast enough, but had provided chase enough to arouse their adreniline. A delicious seasoning. The flesh that had not been torn to bits and devoured beyond recognition had been changed by their own disease. Sweeping over healthy cells and tissues from a single wound to twist and torment the living. Now only a handful of nurses remained and they walked amongst the pack, white stockings with runs and spatters of blood.
Now they too had to deal with the slim pickings these walls provided. They were left with spoiled meat and reduced to lapping at the streaks of blood that covered walls and floors in some places. Dry blood or not.
So the scent of fresh meat was a God sent to the nostrils of the Syn. They drooled at the thought. Finally! They could stalk and feed again without being repelled by pens or other contraptions. The gutteral alert echoed in the empty MRI room and the Syn rushed out to sniff out their new meal.

Takato took Kida. It put a little bit more strain on his injured leg. But not by much. Takato then noticed the slight buzzing. Takato heard a distant growl. Takato himself started to growl softly. He had a bad feeling about this. Takato stayed near Sasuke. Since he was the only one who was fit. Sasuke was deadly, Takato was only glad he was on their side instead of the syns. If syns ever got a hold of Sasuke, well, the world was doomed. "You sure this is a safe place?" Takato's heart was racing already. He had a bad feeling about this. Takato only wanted to run at the moment. But where? Where could they run if even the hospital was infected with these freaks of nature.
Takato looking at every corner. He had a feeling that something would pop out at any second. Not only that, but there was an active camera following the them. as if it was freaky enough being here. Takato was getting the chills from this place. This place was so desolate yet... so not at the same time.

What do you think...? Was what Sasuke was tempted to say. It was obvious that this place looked like bad news, the visuals itself would have been enough to said a normal person puking. The scent and the feel of the place was even worse. Sasuke's body was tense, his muscles coiled, ready to strike at anything that may jump out. He could feel them, the predators lurking behind the walls. Any warrior can feel the killing intent in the hospital's white painted halls. It almost looked like a monter's mouth, waiting for its prey.
Unable to keep his heart at peace, Sasuke drew his sword from its sheath. He felt way too vulnerable without it being drawn and ready to be used when the circumstances called for it. He would have kept cool longer if he was by himself but since he had friends to protect, the scenario suddenly became a very different arena.
Sasuke was tempted to call out and ask who was there when he heard something down the hall but some part of him told him that people wouldn't necessarily be ones who will answer. He doubted that anyone was still alive in this place. When he heard a quiet hum of gears faintly under the sound of Takato's breathing, Sasuke turned his head and looked at the device mounted on the corner wall. The camera moved again. He was starting to get rather irritated at the device. If there was a man behind that machine, why wouldn't he just come out and help them. Sasuke was sure that Kida's unconscious body was visible to anyone who watched from that camera.
"We have to move. It's more dangerous remaining in this place than outside." He told Takato who was still carrying Kida on his back. He started to seriously think that the monsters were intelligent enough to use those cameras and, if so, they were in big trouble.

Oh, yes, yes, yes! They were salivating. With each step they took the scent became stronger and more pure. This flesh wasn't tainted by human disease, they could smell it. Their prey would be thick and juicy. Sweet and full of tender muscles to rip and tear. But one of the new Syn didn't have the patience to wait for their meal. The smallest and cleanest nurse charged ahead of the pack, bringing loud shrieks of objection from the pack.
Not only did they not want her to break ranks, they didn't want her to get all the spoils either. But they didn't chase after her, instead they crept along the hall ways, sniffing at old bodies and old stains just to assure themselves that nothing had changed in their new home.
The lone Syn ran down the halls, eager to find the living creatures. She twisted around a turn and saw them. With her stockings ripped and only the smallest bit of blood on her shoes, they could not see her source of infection, a gaping and festering bite mark on the back of her neck. It was hidden behind the mussed collection of her hair. Never the less this Syn didn't have the sense to take things slow, that was why she was her.
Immediately she ran down the hall, charging at the people she was already imagining as carcasses on the ground.

You didn't have to tell Takato twice. He was seconds from bolting out the door when he noticed a woman standing there. "Oh thank goodness life!" Takato was about to step towards her when he smelt a large amount of blood. Takato looked closer was she injured. Takato took another step closer when the female lunged at him. Takato quickly moved out of the way making the woman land strait into the wall. "Is she....." Takato took a big whiff of the smell coming from her. Yeah that was blood but was it tainted? He could smell something that was other than blood. The scent smelled as if it were mixed with something other than blood.
It didn't take Takato a second thought to know he had to get the hell out of there. Takato then bolted not even paying attention to where he was going he just had to get away from ms i'm-gonna-eat-you! Yes, It made Takato seem like a scardy cat, but really what else could he do? Takato rand out the door as fast as he could, Not even worrying about Sasuke. Sasuke wasn't the injured one. It would be tons easy for him to catch up!
Takato came to a complete stop when he noticed a fork. He dosnt remember this being here. 'Dont tell me....' Yes Takato was lost now. As if this night couldn't have gone worse!!

Creeped out was a huge understatement. Granted Sasuke never liked nurses to begin with but this was just on a whole another level. The woman looked normal but somehow, deep in his gut, Sasuke knew that she was anything but normal. If it wasn't the way she walked, it was definitely the fact that she walked these halls with confidence that blew Sasuke's alarms off. He and Takato, both more than humans, found their spines tingling in the presence of real danger yet, she, supposedly a human woman walked as if she was merely doing her rounds.
Sasuke took that statement back as soon as the woman charged. This... thing was doing its rounds, patrolling the hospital for a victim.
Sasuke jumped out of the way when the Syn neared and he saw Takato do the same. He was suddenly thankful that he unsheathed his sword because Takato suddenly bolted and left the monster to him. Damn cat. But then again Takato might have done right thing because he had an unconscious woman to think about. But what if there were more of them down that hall? Sasuke growled, he knew he had to take of this one as soon as possible and catch up with Takato.
Sasuke readied his blade and charged the Syn himself, slashing at it with quick precision but the woman's skin felt hard and thick under his blade. As he backed up, Sasuke knew that he couldn't have possible dealt the monster a fatal blow. From the way his wrists felt, his sword barely grazed it.
Thinking quickly, Sasuke made another move, this time to impale his opponent's heart with his sword. He ran towards the charging Syn and ducked, sword poised, and thrusted the weapon into the nurse's chest. If this had been a normal opponent, she would have sagged to the floor dead but she wasn't and she remained rigid and ferocious. Fazed, Sasuke jumped back again and felt a drop of sweat down his chin. Just what are these things?!
The Absolute looked around, calculating and scanning the place for whatever weapon he could use against this thing. Blades seem to have little effect and the only other weapon he had on his arsenal was fire. Deciding that his life was more important than this building, Sasuke braced himself and waited for the Syn to come near enough. He breathed fire onto it and watched it writhe in pain. He never dared stop until the Syn was lying still on the floor, a mass of burning flesh finally and truly dead.
Sasuke's unevened breathing fazed him. Handling a single opponent was never a problem for him but the sheer macabre of this place was starting to play tricks in his head. He shook his head and ran towards the direction Takato took, only to find that he was nowhere to be found.
Dammit!

Great what should he do now. Takato was somewhat frantic, Figuring there could be danger lurking around any corner. Takato didn't have the faintest idea where he was, and had no home field advantage. He was lost. There were so many smells of blood in this place that Takato couldn't even smell Sasuke's scent anymore. 'perhaps backtracking would help?' He thought to himself. It didn't help that he had an unconscious woman on his back. So if he ran into a sin, he would be utterly defenseless. The only thing Takato had was the fact that he could run, but that wasn't much of an improvement, seems how the Syn's were quite fast themselves.
Takato was creeping down the hallways, peaking around every corner before turning them. Occasionally checking behind him making sure no one was following him. Takato heard a tap, scaring the hell out of him Takato bolted once again. Little did he know it was actually a broom falling over. Turning the corner quickly and not noticing the person in front of them he ran into the person like a bowling ball with bowling pins. "Owww" He said not even realizing that he was on top of anyone.

Syani, who had been traveling from Niam to the Jowston Hospital airborne with Roy, and currently is trying to get the hell out of the said building, has been extremely and unusually lucky enough to get by from the roof to the lower floors unscathed, with an unconscious man hovering a few inches on top of her extended arms.
Roy had been unconscious since the second they landed on the hospital, and ludicrous as it sounded, she's jealous of him. With every door opened, with every turn made, with even the faintest noise heard, Syani was SO close to screaming out and explode something out of shock and fear. She's thoroughly regretful of why the heck did she even chose this building as a sanctuary in the first place, it's freaking horrid and exceedingly creepy!
That's why she made herself biting a rolled up handkerchief to muffle up her constant cries of shock whenever she sees blood spatters on the wall, or the very horrific pieces of dry limbs and ripped bodies everywhere within her range of view. 'This is more like a hideous cemetery than a flippin' hospital, DAMMIT!' There is such a thing as a limit to things that could freak her out, and when that limit has passed, paranoia will be taking over her.
A creature like Syani being paranoid inside a Syn-manifested hospital is never a good thing. That's why she's strongly gripping that calmness inside, never letting it go.
Holding Roy close to her telepathically, the half-vampire clenched her jaw, squeezing the cloth stuck in between her fangs, then carefully made her way quickly around a few trash bins and bloodied up corpses on the floor. So far, she's been quick and clever enough to both avoid the Syn's hearing and sensitive noses, since she found a medicinal cupboard a few floors up that with a few additions of her own potions, neutralizes the blood scent on her and Roy. It's like they're both practically invisible, scentwise.
Everything's going her way so far until one of her boots got caught in between some huge cracks on the floor. She muffled out a cry as she fall, but before that even happens, something else broke her fall...or more like colliding onto her. With that cloth she's biting on, her scream isn't even that loud, it's Roy's body that fell stiffly on the floor is.
Syani's already clawing her way at that thing which crashed onto her, muffling screams as she did, and kicking it away from her and Roy as strongly as she can. She only stopped until she thought she just kicked something fluffy...
'Wait, since when are plastics fluffy...?'

It wasn't until Takato felt some violent pushing and shoving that Takato realized that someone was underneath him. Takato looked down at the violently moving ...thing. Only to realize it was Syani. She looked terrified. Takato leaped up only to be kicked in a very sensitve area. "Oww" Takato grunted falling to the floor. Gasping for air, Takato reached out for Syani.
"Syani! Calm down its Me Takato" He yelled. He didn't shout at the top of his lungs nut just enough for Syani to hear him.

Syani only paused her muffled screaming when something held her quite securely, and yelled at her in the face. "..Hmf...?" was all she let out, before squinting her eyes to take a better look of what's in front of her. To both her shock and later relief, it's a huge kitty cat.
A familiar huge kitty cat.
Slowly, the half-vampire pulls out the cloth stuck inside her mouth and just stares at the lion in front of her, as if her brain is trying to process something crucial and is sending information to her nerves on how to react. "..Ta....ka....chan..."
Her voice sounded faint, and lost, somewhat. Slowly, her face creased together, and before she knew it, she's crying... "T-Taka-chan!!" She outburst, flinging her arms open to grab Takato by the head and hugged him tight. It's a good thing her voice is broken or that yell might echo inside the whole hospital.
Still, you can't blame her. She's never the type to walk alone like this, much less protecting an unconscious friend while walking alone inside a dangerous carnivore-infected hospital. In short, she's scared out of her mind, and is extremely relieved to see someone familiar after hours of hiding and running in this building. She made the right choice to go to this hospital after all...
"I'm so glad you're here!!" She whispered into his mane, crying and sobbing in between. Syani is definitely traumatized to be having tears leaking down her eyes like this. She was about to add that she's scared when she noticed there's someone unconscious, besides Roy, laying there near Takato.
"...Kida?"

Takato jumped a bit as he didn't expect Syani of all people to jump out and hug him. Last time he tried to hug her well... Lets just say it didn't end pretty, Not at all. He heard her whimpers and sobs, He took his paw and simply patted her shoulder, offering her a comfort. Takato noticed the man laying not too far from the uncontentious Kida. Raising and eyebrow he turned to ask Syani who was her friend, when she blurted out Kida's name. "You know her?" She seemed to calm down a bit Seeing Kida. She he wasn't about to bring up the freaks of nature just yet.
Takato figured if he lets her calm down a bit, He could get the story as to why he is here and what she was doing with a guy. Takato took a moment as he limped over towards the male. He had a huge scar on his chest, Smelt like dried blood. That couldn't be good. Takato took a step back. 'Dont tell me he was bit' He thought to himself. Takato felt uneasy about the unconsious man before him. "Whose your friend Syani?" He asked with a stern voice.
Takato had a bad feeling about this... a really bad feeling indeed.

Syani was trying her hardest to try and breath normally to stop her convulsive hiccups. The tears didn't help at all, but Takato's paw patting on her shoulder is comforting her at least a bit. She tries to slow her breathing rate, going into her happy place inside her head and wipes off the embarrassing tears.
"Well..yeah," was all Syani replied to his question of knowing Kida, they've met once. The half-vampire just sat there, still trying to control her breathing while watching Takato limping over to Roy.
Immediately, she eyed the lion's feet, quickly guessing which one that pains him and in that same moment that guess was made, she pulled out a vial from her cloak. Just as the half-vampire about to ask Takato what's wrong with his foot, she was beaten by his question.
"Uhm..." Syani's shoulders dropped, wondering how to put Roy's situation into words. "That's Roy.. He uh...got bit." Her voice started breaking again, but she quickly get a hold of herself.
"It's okay though, I injected my special guarantee-will-die poison to him that slows down every other disease, including the Syn virus. ...Of course, that made him...closer to death.. B-but! I have the antidote to the poison, so I'll just inject it to him if he gets TOO close to death."
Syani's insane like that, using death with her potion experiments, but she truly has no other choice. Either that, or Roy turning plastic faster. "By the way..." Pulling out another potion, this time in a bigger and thicker vial, the half-vampire pulled the cork out before splashing the potion right at the lion, then onto Kida.
"It neutralizes your blood scent, so they can't smell us." Syani explained, corking back the vial and stored it back inside her cloak. "Now...what's wrong with your foot?" Picking back up the initial phial, the black-haired pointed at Takato's limping foot.
