After wandering around Kumo for a while trying to find something to eat and do all day, Itsumo returned to the temple to rest. Although he had not been allowed inside, he knew of no place nearby that he could say since he had no money, so he would rest upon the roof on clear nights and under the overhang on rainy nights.
He curled up on the porch under the overhang to keep dry since he could tell that it would rain sometime during the night. It wasn't a home but he made due with what he could for the time being. It wasn't long until he fell asleep, seeing rain in his dreams. Rain that fell down his face as he had left Ame Mura some time ago. A rain that never seemed to stop falling deep inside...
He woke in the morning with a start as he heard the nearby door open. He jumped up and ran around the corner so they wouldn't spot him there. Hearing the man go back inside, Itsumo let out a quiet sigh of relief and looked out at the few surrounding trees and the light that was hitting them from the East, to his right.
He caught a glimpse of something to his right and turned quickly, finding himself face to face with another person... And a girl at that. Startled, he took a couple steps back with widened eyes. "U... Ummm... H... Hello..." He greeted, staring at her.

"Uh....Yo..." Kida held up a hand in a stationary wave. She had traveled from Fijion today with the intent of getting a massage at the local Tu Dien Anh and it had been fabulous. A near death experience, but fabulous none the less. Kida hadn't planned on doing anything else that day, but she figured it was a waste for her to come this far with out doing something else in Kumo. So she'd asked around for something to entertain herself or something to do. Someone had told her that this temple was a good place to pray as well as buy good luck charms.
While Kida herself didn't think she really needed a good luck charm, she knew someone who could. Poor Hikaru always said he was a magnet for bad luck, so maybe she would send him a little gift to brighten his mood. Although it was a nice thought she hadn't been able to get a lot of information about the temple itself. Kida hadn't really cared, thinking she could take on or deal with whatever came her way, but the sudden and rather odd appear of a boy had her a little confused. "Uh...You work here?" she asked, slipping her hands into her pockets.
She didn't get that vibe from this guy, but it was better to ask than just assume.

Itsumo watched the girl for a moment, a little uncertain and timid as he slowly shook his head. "I.. don't... Sorry.." He replied quietly, his voice sounding a little shaken as he took another step back. He wasn't really any good around others, especially of the female variety, since becoming an outcast in Ame Mura.
He almost wanted to run away but something made him stay. He didn't want to run away from everyone he saw anymore. He wanted to be accepted no matter how much he feared their hatred of him. "I...I'm... Itsumo..." He uttered a bit quietly. "What's... your name?"

She blinked. "I'm Kida." Shy guy, isn't he? "So....If you don't work here, you must be coming to pray....?" she asked. When she'd first caught a glimpse of him, this Itsumo looked like he would bail at any second. I don't look scary or something, do I? Or maybe she'd just startled him as much as he'd startled her.
"Or maybe you came to buy a charm?" she added. There wasn't much in the immediate area, so if he wasn't here for either of those reasons, Kida didn't have a clue. "That's why I'm here, actually." she added more. Though he had kept speaking to her, he still looked very nervous. Kida thought that be a little extra friendly wouldn't do any harm.

Itsumo watched the girl as she spoke. She didn't seem to be disgusted by him or dislike him right away, so he started to calm a little bit. "I...." He began but paused, not knowing if he should honestly say he's homeless and is living on the porch or roof of this temple against the priest's allowance or if he should just lie and say he was here to pray.
He took a small step back and looked down and to the side a bit, lowering his ears slightly as he realized it would be wrong of him to state a lie. So even though the truth was a bit embarrassing he had to tell it anyway. "I... sleep here... outside because I can't sleep inside." He answered rather quietly.
He quickly then looked up at her, his ears lifting again. "Please don't tell anyone. I'm not really supposed to..." He said, a somewhat frightened and worried look in his eyes. He didn't want to lose his sleeping place and have to search for another place in town to curl up in the night.

"You...sleep...here?" she asked. That couldn't be right. Why didn't this kid have a home? And why the hell would priests not let a homeless kid sleep inside?! "Are you kidding?" Her voice jumped up to it's normal semi-harshness before she could catch herself. Calm...I'll scare this kid with my normal self...sheesh Kida wasn't exactly quiet and soft, she was normally more brash and loud.
"Look, Kid--Istumo--you can't stay here...This isn't any place to sleep. I'm not gonna tell anyone, but you need to find a real house. Or and inn or....something." she finished lamely. "It's not safe here for you." Being on 'holy' ground didn't mean much when the bad guys found you.

When her voice seemed a bit harsher, Itsumo jumped back slightly, a frightened look on his face again with his ears pointed straight up but turned a little bit back. He relaxed his ears and calmed a bit as she seemed to calm down a bit again.
His ears lowered as she told him he couldn't stay here. He didn't have a real house and he didn't have any way to pay for an inn. He didn't have anybody to take him in, he didn't know anybody. His body slouched forward somewhat as his ears still hung low.
He sheepishly looked back at her again and spoke rather quietly. "I don't have anywhere else to go and I don't have any money, nor do I know anybody to help... I don't want to be a burden on anyone and ask for help either." He added in quietly as he looked down again for a moment then looked at her.
"I don't know what you mean by it not being safe other than the priestess and her broom.... But... I can take care of myself if anything harmful comes along." He finished a bit quietly. His ears still hung low and his body was slouched as his frightened and unsure eyes looked up at her awaiting her response.

Kida bit down on her tongue to stop herself from berated him. She didn't do so well with people who easily took up the flag of suffering, especially when it was to avoid putting others out. "It's more dangerous than you think. They're are wackos and psychos out there. Suppose one comes up to the temple in the middle of the night."
"Even if you don't have money or a place to stay there's a lot of different options for you then being here. A job for example. Work at an inn so you can stay in one of their rooms. Hell, I'm sure my friend Mitsuko would help you out." she said as a light bulb went off in her head.

"If someone bad came along, I would make them go away..." He said with his ears still lowered, looking a bit sheepish as he tried to explain without actually explaining that he had special abilities to protect himself.
He listened to her idea of getting a job at an inn and thought about it for a moment but he didn't know where to find one. "How could I find one to take me?" He asked, not having any knowledge about jobs or much of anything. "Who is Mitsuko?" He wondered aloud quietly.

Mitsuko was back at Kumo for a second time, to once again pray at the temple just like she had done so before. She believed it was important to pay your respects at temples So she was starting to get in the habit of that.
This time however it was going to be different, as she got closer to the temple, she saw a figure that she had recognized right away but apparently there was a conversation going on. She couldn't help but over hear, and then she heard her name being called, since Kida had given the scared, shy boy the suggestion to ask for the angel's help.
When she heard the young boy asked Kida who is Mitsuko? She answered.
"Actually, I'm Mitsuko little one. I couldn't help but over hear.. That you need some assistance? If so I can help you."
She smiled at the young boy and she slowly came closer to him and knelt down before him, to his level.
"I want you to know that I will not hurt you, I can tell that you are frightened, cold and hungry right? Don't worry, everything is going to be okay."
