Leo immediately dragged himself near a wall and leaned on it as soon as he noticed Ana's slowing down. He can't control his breathing much and his rapid heart rate is seriously rushing through his adrenaline. It definitely made his mind a bit more active, that's the only good thing. The bad part of all this running is the thought that his flesh might get torn apart.
He pushed himself off the wall after a brief moment, believing that they should keep on running in case there's some hidden Syns beneath the shadows of this darkness. He didn't respond to her question about his well-being, but merely nodded at her...which he doubt she can see since its so dark.
When Ana lights up a sort of light, Leo watches her as she move to a switch nearby and found that there's no power. "Good, let it be that way," the artist responded, moving towards the blonde and blow the light off from her lighter. "I'm not sure if those things can see in the dark, but let's not take any chances, alright?" His tone is low, like a whisper, but strangely calm, like before they even bumped on the Syns.
"Stay close to me. And whatever happens, don't scream." Leo figured, the dark can both provide them benefits and disadvantages. One major downside of it is a Syn can easily snatch Ana away without him even realizing it, that's why he asked her to stay close. He also noticed earlier that her scream attracted many unwanted attention from their predators...and neither of them likes it.
"Wear this," the lad pulled her hand towards him and placed a pair of glasses on her palm. "Night-sight. It lets you see in the dark, but I only have one pair. So use it well." Since she literally melted the Syns, Leo figured it might be best if she wears it. "Come on. We need to find the hover shifter so we can fly out."

Ana felt the goggles being placed in her hand. She felt she would be safer not knowing what is in front of her. But maybe this was just a test. Or maybe she just needed to challenger herself to be brave and find the way out. Ana felt determined that she was going to overcome her fear. Yes, The syns had scared her that much to make her even nervous about even being in the same city as them. Knowing they were everywhere. Ana took a deep breath. She cant be scared at a time like this. When Arche and Leo depended on her. Of all people for them to depend on though. Ana has always been somewhat on the cautious side.
Ana took the goggles. There was no turning back and she could tell by the tone in his voice he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Even she had no idea where she was going, and he grew up here so why wouldn't he know the place. As she placed them on her head the room light up in the fade of green. "Woah" She said as she looked around the room. Needless to say she was impressed.
Ana started walking down the hall she noticed something. She noticed a door way. She walked towards the door way cracking it. Looking through checking if there were syn's in the room. Thankfully there were none, but she did manage to find something in the center of the room that looked very odd. She had never seen one of these before, but it looked very different. She then took off the goggles placing them in front of Leo's eyes.
"Is this what were looking for?" She asked him curiously

Leo followed Ana cautiously, maintaining his breathing and footsteps to be as quiet as humanly possible. As calm as he seems, he still values his life and others around him, that's why he kept turning around and kept his hearing sharp to try and detect if anybody has been following them.
As they neared on what seems to be a door, the lad was half-tempted to hack in the little control box beside the door to turn it into an automatic snapping limb-slicing instrument if the Syns were indeed following them. Though, his thought was cut short when Ana suddenly placed the glasses in front of his eyes.
Leo took hold of the glasses to stabilize it and look through what Ana's trying to show him. There at the center of the room, is a wide thin circular disk. What made it stand out in the dark room is the striking silver gloss it radiates. "That's the hover-shifter." Since it doesn't depend on the power of the Archive, receiving energy from those who stepped on it to generate it instead, Leo is certain it still works even after all these things invaded the place.
He hasn't rode one for years, but at least he's familiar enough with it to use the thing. Though it's not exactly a perfect stealth material because of its color, the hover-shifter is an efficient appliance for moving to high places, and transporting objects to anywhere you want...by simply stepping on it.
Leo figured, since the Archive is huge enough, with the ceilings reaching a few hundred feet from the floor, the hover-shifter is a perfect gizmo to hover off to find an exit...so long as the Syns aren't capable of running on walls and jumping over to them while they're hovering in the air.
"Come," he lead the way and step on the odd circular disk. As Ana's safe on the device, a light blue hologram of sort appeared in front of Leo, indicating the map of the entire building. The lad cracked his knuckles before beginning to touch the holography image and divide it to sections in front of him.
With his control, safety rails appeared around the disk as to not let the two fall so easily, and after that, the hover-shifter slowly sets off the ground, levitating the two up in the air. "Okay, Ana, you keep wearing the night-sight glasses. If you see the creatures spotting us, dump acid on them. I'm going to search for a safe exit." Since there's already a holographic map in front of him, Leo doesn't need the glasses to see where he's going.
'Now to see if there's another exit except for the main entrance...' After maintaining quite a large distance from the ground, Leo shifts their transportation to one of the paths available, deeply praying those Syns can't reach this high of the walls.

Ana stepped on to the platform with Arche on her shoulder. Doing exactly as he said she placed the goggle's on her head so that she could spot any possible danger. Though when the hover shifter began to float upward Ana immediatly latched onto to Leo.... She was afraid of heights. Her arm was wrapped around her's as she peered over the side. This was going to be fun.
"Oh sorry" She said letting go. If he could see, he would've seen that her cheeks were pink. But to be honest, she was glad it was dark. Ana really didn't think they were going to be attacked by syn's. It was almost impossible for them too. But then again, so is bullet replant skin. Better safe then sorry I suppose.
Ana then noticed there was a small exit on the map. And just to their luck, it wasn't too far. "We could use this exit" She said pointing out the exit on the map.

Leo paused for a short moment as Ana suddenly grabbed hold of him, surprised of the levitation of the hover shifter probably, so the lad just sighed. "Calm down, it's going to be alright.." He tried to propose to her, though just lets his arm being hugged by her and waited for her to release him.
It's strange to him that this woman hangs on to him, almost as of hoping he can save her. 'Probably because I'm the only human here.' Shrugging his shoulders, he nodded at Ana's apology as soon as she released him, continuing to take control of the hover shifter through the holographic control panel.
When Ana pointed to a direction in the map, Leo nodded in response, pressing a few more holographic buttons to direct them there. The hover shifter moved soundlessly through another dark hallway, almost reaching the ceiling. Due to the traumatizing event earlier, Leo tries to get them as far away from the floor as possible.
There's a slight shuffling noises from down below, but since it's so dark, he silently asked Ana to see what it is. If its the Syns, then they might just passed over them without being noticed...but then again, the creatures might be able to track them down with their scent. "Careful..."

Ana felt a little embarrassed from clinging to him so much. Maybe it was because he was the first human face she had seen in a while. Maybe she just longed for the human touch. Searching for the feeling of being safe. Ever since she got here she's done nothing but running for her life. Her heart races as fast as lightning. Sure, Arche was there, but he only gave a certain amount of protection.
Ana noticed leo's head movement as she heard some kind of ruckus below. She carefully peered over looking strait down at the syn's. The could smell them but they couldn't pin point where ana and leo were. Bumping into everything in their path. They were quite clumsy. But none of them were following their senses correctly. Ana gulped. It looked like so many of them, as if they were all ants scattering over food. From the smell of dried blood there probably was food.
"Lets hurry shall we" Ana said quietly. Scared out of her mind. Ana held herself together. She could do that much when they weren't inches away from her.

Leo had his back turned to Ana as he deftly touched the holographic screen in front of him, silently grateful that it's not that bright to attract any unwanted attention to the floating thing they're standing on.
After keying in the exact location he wants the hover-shifter to go, the lad turns his head over his shoulder a bit to see how Ana's doing, then turns himself completely to face her as he watched her holding herself in a sort of inner fright. The light glow from the holographic screen provided him only a minimum sight, just enough for him to see the outline of objects, but enough to see that Ana's not doing well with the sight below them.
Leo's not exactly the type to show his sympathy to people, much less feeling it often, but he definitely could somehow sense the aura surrounding him now. While the hover-shifter's automatically moving soundlessly through the hall to the location he had keyed in, the artist approached Ana and tries to calm her down by patting her on the shoulder gently, whispering with his usual serene tone, "Don't worry, Ana. The exit's not too far off from here. Plus, the hover-shifter won't ever shut down as long as there are life energies on it."
Though, calming her down turns out into a reasoning session. Leo paused for a moment, wondering if what he said were of any use, then quickly but quietly add, "What I'm trying to say is...there's less than 20% possibility that we're going to die while we're on board of this hover-shifter. So please, take a deep breath...and prove to me the reason why you would set off alone in a terribly dangerous city manifested with hungry predators."
He glanced at Arche after that, before going back to the monitor hologram, speeding up the gizmo they're floating on.

Ana took a deep breath. Though the thought of being in that mess below still scared her, she quickly reminded herself that she wasn't going to fall. That she was on a sturdy hovercraft. It was funny hearing leo try to make her feel better. It worked of course, but still. She turned to Leo smiling. "Thanks Leo" She said softly. Now that she thought about it maybe she really should have brought someone with her. But she didn't want more people to get hurt or turn in to Syn's than there already were. If only she went, Then it would only mean one person had the possibility of turning into a syn.
She prayed to god that she wouldn't turn into a syn and could help anyone she could. She had an inspiration. She wanted to help . It was the only thing really keeping her going. Her heart was set on it as well. her thoughts ran through her head. If she's going to help she's got to stop being afraid. She's got to swallow her fear and attack head on and attack with full force. "Dont worry, I'm not afraid." She said with a stern voice.

Leo didn't turn to face her when she finally made up her mind and will, strengthening herself from inside. Instead, he just smiled to himself as he controls the hover-shifter cautiously. "Good." He simply nodded at her new-found strength, his hands busy pulling and pushing the holographic screen.
"Now, I'd like to discuss with you about my plan." The artist turns half his body around, glancing to Ana, asking her to join him near the control panel before turning back to the hologram screens.
"With this hover-shifter. we're able to go anywhere inside or outside the library. Where do you want to head out to?"

Ana looked toward Leo as he spoke of a plan. "A plan would be nice" She said waiting. A plan sounded really nice right now. So did Sunlight. When he asked her where she wanted to go. She wanted to say out. But deep down she knew it was safer to stay inside for the moment while they plan of some kind of attack, escape, or anything really. She knew deep down that they werent going to get anywhere if they just kept running around in circles like they have been. Thankfully the hovercraft gave them such the time.
"Um, Outside please" She said. She couldn't resist the thought of sunlight and freash air. The toxic fumes from what might be blood. (or What Ana thought it was) was starting to get to Ana. The stentch was raw and she didn't like it. She was sure Arche felt the same way, though he was unusually quite right now. Ana brought Arche in to her arms. She could tell he was scared too. He was slightly trembling but giving the impression that he was better than that.

Leo nodded, and started the discussion with a whisper, in case some Syns are under them picking up human voices. "This whole country is obviously filled with these creatures, most humans here were turned into those things, I believe, and with the large population of Gradia...it's not safe for us to simply hover around the city aimlessly." These Syns is able to run immensely fast and jump inhumanely far. They're not humans, they're way advanced. Physically, so far. At least, from the short encounter Leo had gone through with them.
"I'd like to suggest for us to head out to the Jowston Hospital nearby, I have a strong feeling that it has become a sort of stronghold after this catastrophe." Leo's a wuss from the start, the hospital has become a second home for him since the moment he was picked on either physically or through the time he caught numerous types of sicknesses.
"Though, it might be a challenge, even on a hover-shifter, since we don't know what other capabilities those...things...are able to do." If they suddenly sprouted wings and fly, then its the end for both him and Ana. "That is why I'd like to hear if you have any suggestions or objections."

Ana brought her hand to her chin, he had a point. They didn't know what they were capable of. But she had a strong feeling. If there were people hiding struggling to survive then it would be at the hospital. "I think the hospital would be the best choice. If there any survivers thats where they would go" But then again there was a chance of those monsters being infested there. But Really it seemed as if the whole city was infested, so they couldn't go the 'safe route' because there was none.
Ana stood firmly at her choice. Even though there was fear in her. She was scared but who wouldn't be. If she wasn't careful she could be turned at any moment. It was definately a risk coming here. But she knew she wouldn't have felt any better if she stayed home. "Lets get out of here" She said eagar to find a safe place

Leo nodded along with her approval, "Indeed." He faced the holographic control panel and spreads his fingers, ready to launch it towards their destination. He could faintly hear the growls and inhumanely-voiced yells from under their floating hovercraft, and the artist flinched slightly at the noises.
"Alright, lets," and after a few key-ins, Leo drove both of them high up in the air, avoiding to get too close to the other buildings in case some of the Syns are ready to leap towards them, then carefully and quickly fleet off towards Jowston Hospital.
[Continued in Jowston Hospital...]
