While she was no longer a bounty hunter the angel had heard about the numerous deaths that, the HQ suffered. As the bounty hunts got harder, so did the plan in assuring everyone’s safety. The angel knew that her father Jean had worked hard to try and prevent as much deaths as possible, but the truth was death was inevitable. Jean knew that it was still hard for Mitsuko to accept the fact that people die in the line of duty in bounty hunts, so one night he sat down and he talked to her.
Jean had explained that she shouldn’t focus on how they died, but how they lived. Bounty hunters live all their lives in danger, and he understood that this must be a big shock for her to see many people die all at once. While the numbers of bounty hunters had decreased there was something that Mitsuko could do.
Pray, just pray.
She was an angel after all so her prayers were always super strong, just as strong as her faith. While she didn’t know all the names of everyone that had died, her prayer and hope was the key for the souls that had passed on to find eternal peace. This angel knew compassion, sweetness and kindness, which is why she feels so bad for those that died, not to mention she treasured life.
The angel told Jean that she had to step out of the HQ for a while and to do what she could do, for those that died. So she went to the cathedral and at the altar she lit a candle for each person that passed on, and placed flowers beside each candle. After lighting the candles and placing the flowers she kneeled down in front of the altar, closed her eyes, clasped her hands together and prayed.
As she began to pray, she started to glow as she helped each soul find eternal peace with her prayer and pure heart. She was so focused in praying that she didn’t notice that someone had entered the cathedral.
