Long silver hair flaring wildly through the harsh winds, nobody could expect to see a young woman in her late teens standing rigidly on top of the Umbra-Canyon. Petra smiled at the booming darkening skies, basking in the wild rain as she faces upwards and enjoying the sound of thunder crashing through the heavy rain.
Petra absolutely loves thunderstorms. The wonderful bolts of lightning randomly flashing in the skies with such beauty is something of an indulgence to her. Mount Etna has never displayed such raw beauty of nature like this.
Now she's even tempted to thank Muri for dragging her out into the open world, then to thank Eyami for being such an idol that made Muri dragged her in the first place, then to thank Hikaru for failing to keep an eye of the Main Wielder which made Eyami moved out of their sanctuary to find said Wielder, and finally to thank Zephel for disappearing on them.
Petra nodded to herself. Thanking all of them is worth this perfection transpiring above her right at this moment. She even considered staying on this canyon, her eyes glazing over the atmosphere and managed to spot a cave nearby.
'Perfect.' The thought of it made her excited. Though then, she reminded herself that her siblings come first before anything, even her own desires, so Petra inhaled the scent of rain around her deeply before making her way down the canyon, apparently in a very good mood.
She has now found her favorite comfort place.
Despite her now wet clothes as she slowly climbed down a deep narrow steep-sided path of the valley, Petra looks rather content. Her silver hair, despite being as soggy as her clothes are, still flared with the wind along with her long skirt that she's wearing that's beginning to get muddy.
Petra didn't mind, she quite enjoyed this little trip.

Remi ran into Umbra-Canyons as he escaped the bounty hunters that were after him from the job he had done tonight. His black trench coat was stained with blood from the people he had just killed. Because of this, he felt grateful to the rain of the canyons right now that helped to wash it off. Regardless of the rain, however, he would be ditching this trench coat in the canyons anyway.
He had his guns tucked into water proof holsters that attached to the belt around his pants. He felt uncomfortable walking around without his trench to cover them, but he would just untuck his shirt for these occasions, even though his shirt still never hides them well.
As he reached the edge of the canyons, Remi took off his trench coat and balled it up, tying it tight together so it would stay in a ball formation. Underneath the trench, he wore black pants and a long sleeve black shirt. He stood at the edge of the canyons, holding the balled up trench coat ready to drop it when he noticed a flicker of long silver hair scaling down the other side of the canyons.
Remi took on a somewhat quizzical expression as he watched the figure moving down into the canyons for a moment before he turned his attention back to his trench. He could just drop it and walk away before she sees or he could pick a nook in the side of the canyons to stash it and find out what the hell someone else is actually doing here. Umbra-Canyons isn't exactly a kind of vacation getaway.
He gripped the trench coat in his hand and lowered it as he scanned the side of the canyons he was on right now, looking for a path down. He noticed a rather iffy one a little ways down, a little closer to where the girl on the opposite side was. He figured those slopes may have been made for travelers that needed a way across. But then, why not just build a bridge, he figured.
He moved towards the path down, keeping an eye on the girl as he began to follow her from the opposite side down into the canyons. On his way down, he noticed a crack in his side of the canyons, just big enough to stuff his trench down so it would never be found. Grateful to the girl for spiking his curiousity that allowed him to find this, he shoved the balled up trench in before continuing to follow his way down, trying not to be seen while keeping an eye on her.

'I never knew humans have a good taste of sightseeing...' Petra mused to herself with a small smile as she made her way down slowly, already detecting someone close by without even giving a glance.
Each of her siblings have their own abilities related to the mind, and so far, hers was probably the most useless one. Unless someone lost something. Petra is gifted with very sharp perception, she can sense things around her well without looking at them or knowing they even exist.
Her espial senses picked up the life form of a human on the opposite side of the canyon, yet as Petra knows nothing of the human norm, she had grossly misinterpreted that that person had came here to enjoy the view, just like her. So she calmly made her way down without even giving a glimpse as to not disturb the human.
She paused, however, when she sensed that the person dropped something on his way down. Feeling rather good today due to her happy mood, Petra made her way around the canyon, finally lifting her head to find the person she sensed.
Her eyes failed to see the human, considering it's rather dark and windy, yet she knows he's there due to her espial senses. "You dropped something," the wind is brutal, yet even with her calm voice and distance from the man, it sounded so clear as if there's no blizzard here at all.
Her hair is fluttering everywhere, though Petra seems completely at ease as she raised one of her arms upwards, almost delicately, and pulled her hand down as if dragging a hanging rope towards the direction of the balled up trench coat.
As quickly as she does that, a flash of lightning was shot from the darkening skies, a few meters near the object she sensed. An ear-busting booming of the thunder accompanies the sudden flash of lightning after a few moments, it was so loud and destructive, even the most hard-willed man would at least scurried off from it.
Despite the blacken boulders and rocks falling off from that particular side of the canyon, a ball of clothing rolled down the canyonside right towards where the human is currently at. Petra would almost grin of her good deed, it wasn't everyday she's up helping people picking up what they dropped.
Too bad she can't tell the difference between 'dropped' and 'ditched'.

Remi looked down to find his footing as he noticed the trail was rather slippery and that made him almost lose his balance for a moment. As soon as he looked up again, he could see the girl coming towards him and finally stated that he had dropped something. Surprised that he was found out and even more so that she had spotted, he assumed, him stashing his trench coat in the canyon wall, he stood there without making a sound for a moment.
Furthermore, he wondered about how clear her voice had reached him. It did not sound strained as though she were shouting, yet it reached his ears despite the noise of the weather. Remi let out a breath of air and dropped his head, grinning slightly to himself. She's probably got some sort of special skill. He finally thought, realizing that there was no way she would have seen him stash that coat. He wasn't even sure if she could properly see him now. The only reason he could see her so well was because of that long, silver hair of hers.
As he was finally about to speak, he heard a sudden crack of thunder right behind him. His eyes widened and he took a large step forward and turned around to see that it had hit the canyon wall where he had stored the trench coat. This was confirmed as he then noticed a black wad of clothing roll towards him. He crouched down to catch it before it rolled past him and his eyes held both a look of shock and a slight glare at the balled up trench coat. Shit. He thought as he gripped it in his hand tightly. He slowly stood up again as his face changed back into a more blank but serious expression.
"So you have an affinity to lightening, huh?" He asked her, slightly straining his voice to speak loud enough for her to hear. He slowly turned around to look at her again, clenching the wad of cloth in his hand as he slowly continued his way down to meet her.
"That was impressive... However, I sincerely ask that you never do that again." He said, a little less strained the closer he got to her until he was only a few feet away, able to see her more clearly now. "This..." He began again, holding up the black ball of cloth, "Is nothing more than garbage. It's a pain carrying it around, so I decided to get rid of it. Since there are no trash bins around, I figured a hole in the side of the canyon was better than just dropping it anywhere." He explained, hoping to make the item in his hand sound less important than it was. He considered it a good thing at this point that he balled it up with the blood facing inwards.
"My name is Kage. What, may I ask, is your name?" He finally introduced himself with a very slight bow, not taking his eyes off of her. His voice sounded courteous and gentle, while his face remained rather stoic.

Petra is content with herself. Petra is very much content with herself. She can sense the object rolling down from the canyon, with the help of her lightning blast of course, and the man had smoothly caught it. The sides of her lips were itching to curve into a smile as she made her way down, expecting to receive a much-needed thank you from this human.
Once Petra could finally see the stranger, she stood with her back straight and her chin high. This is possibly one of the first few times she had helped a human with her destructive power and Petra is obviously very proud of herself.
Her red eyes scrutinized this man in front of her and she noted the color of his hair matches her brothers. By that small resemblence, a gentle expression drifted over her face as only by that tiny bit of similarity, Petra can grasp hold onto a sense of familiarity when speaking to the stranger. She needs that feeling to even communicate normally with people.
Petra's face drops back to her neutral straight one when he spoke up for her to never repeat her kindness. Her jaws clenched tight as she stares at this person, beginning to feel a bit angry that her help wasn't appreciated, but thankfully she's mature enough to wait for a reason behind his words.
Her red eyes glanced over to the object the man is displaying to her, then back towards his face as she listened to his explanation. Once she's sure he had finished explaining, Petra opens her mouth to state all the contradictions she was able to pick from just listening to his words.
"It's a coat." She said simply, her eyes back towards the item in his hand. Despite it being dark and raining, she could see from her view that there's a pocket stitching on the fabric. "You were supposed to wear it, especially in this blizzard." Her eyes slowly glazed back towards the man, now with a hint of suspicion.
"If it's garbage to you, then you could donate it to me. I might have more use of it." In that brief moment, her mind has already began playing the possibilities of what she could mutilate from a simple trench coat. But the real reason she's even stating out something like that is to bait him and see his reaction, based on that alone, Petra could at least guess what this man is hiding.
Her suspicion was then briefly distracted by the stranger's sudden introduction of himself. It might be considered odd for others when two people meet under the most horrible of weathers and exchange pleasantries, but it's not for Petra. She actually appeciates this courteous gesture. Though despiter her inner delightfulness, her face stays straight as she returns the stoic stare he's giving her.
"Petra." She responded flatly without much of an interest in continuing these formalities, she's more intrigued by that coat of his than his name honestly. But then again, Petra being Petra, she could twist her words by using her curiosity and squeezing it into continuing the formalities. "I apologize for returning your trash back to you, I thought you dropped it. Would you like me to spifflicate that for you? I excel in the cause of destruction." 'Take the bait, human.' Her red eyes once again glazed over his face to meet his eyes.

As this young woman declared the nature of the item balled up in his hands, Remi's eyes turned cold. He lowered his arm as he watched her go on explaining about the coat. He continued to stare coldly at her as she went on, holding still to the balled up coat in his hand. He was not sure what kind of use she intended for it, but something containing incriminating evidence against himself was not to be shared with another, especially if that person had seen his face.
Remi refused to trust the word of another, especially when it came to things like his business. He noticed right away that this woman was not truly apologizing, rather trying to manipulate him into giving her the trench coat. He wasn't sure exactly what she was up to, but he wasn't about to yield to such tactics.
A faint smirk formed on Remi's face then as he responded in a fairly light tone. "I apologize. I cannot hand this coat over to you." He stated, instantly pulling out reasonings to support his words so that she would hopefully lose her interest in it. "This was a family heirloom given to me by my late father. I want to rid myself of it, but I refuse to see it in the hands of someone else. It is of a personal matter." He explained with that slight smirk, staring her back into her eyes.
"Enough about that." He began to change the subject. "What brings a woman such as yourself into such a dangerous place as Veyyard? Or have you not yet heard about how troublesome a place this is? If you don't watch yourself carefully, you may become hurt or even killed by running into the wrong person." He warned her still with a light but rather blank tone of voice. His expression had returned to his normal stoic.

'Jackpot.' Simply by how his eyes had casted away that fake mask to reveal how cold it genuinely is, Petra would almost grin. She would have, if it wasn't for how sharp the man is staring at her at the moment. It would be foolish to allow herself to loose this acting game too early. Plus, she was just starting to have fun.
The rain, if possible, is getting even heavier than before. Yet the both of them didn't even budge, as if there's a silent clashing tension in between them. She observed him intently of how his expression might change or if there's any uncertanties in his eyes, but was disappointed to find that she can spot practically nothing. 'Interesting...'
A smirk curved up his lips, and at this, Petra stood a little straight, a bit surprised. Her red eyes are focused towards this man as he apologized that he cannot hand over his coat to her, and then state out that it's something precious to him. "I see..." Her voice is cold, as if she wasn't buying his reasoning at all.
Petra's eyes gained that sparked again when this human actually is trying to start a conversation with her, and her smile grew because he's giving her the perfect opportunity to test him again. "I could say the very same thing about you. Precious heirlooms are best incinerated rather than leaving it to bleach out here in this precarious canyon. Don't you think so?" She threw in a sly grin at him, pressing the fact that she won't give up on drawing out the mystery behind this coat.
"That way you can keep the ashes. That solves both your problems of wishing to get rid of it and keeping it from others at the same time." She reasoned with a smirk, trying to mirror Kage's own. The coat is of no importance to her, actually, she's just having fun trying to draw out expressions and responses from this man. It makes her feel superior if she's able to break a facade or a mask.
'You're fun.'
Though suddenly, the heavy rain corroded the footing that they're standing on that some of the rocks they're standing on cracked and parted a bit. That had made Petra's footing unstable as she let out quiet gasp and automatically flung her arms apart to gain her balance.
One of her hands accidentally swiped right towards Kage's arm that's holding the balled up coat.

"Hm." Remi let out in a almost chuckle manner briefly as a sort of smirk curved back on his face. "I suppose you are right. When I get out of the rain, I will try to find a fire that I can burn it in." Remi said, not taking his eyes off the girl in front of him.
He wasn't sure what her intentions were, but he could play these games for hours if he wanted to. That, or he could just decide to shoot her and get it over with. Killing without orders, however, was not one of his favourite things. He despised the fact that killing people was the main part of his job in the first place.
As the rain picked up and began corroding the ground at their feet, Remi managed to rather easily keep himself standing. He noticed the girl, however, seeming to lose her footing and reach out towards him. Unsure if her loss of footing was accidental or intentional, he quickly swiped the hand with his coat behind him and moved his other hand out to grab the one she had flung towards him.
If she was trying to grab his coat, he had made her unsuccessful. If she was truly falling, then he had just helped her. He held her hand for a moment to make sure she was stable before releasing it. "Are you okay?" He asked with his sort of smirk still on his face as he watched her carefully.

Petra clenched her jaws closed tightly when she can already see how this will turn out for her the second she slipped her balance. One small fall and everything will hurt her; the rain, the wind, the soil, the whole beauty of nature itself will harm her so much.
Though then, her flailing arm was caught by Kage, to her surprise. Her widened eyes stays at him as she adjusted her footing, then finally pulled her hand when he released hers, darting her eyes away from him. 'This is not good. I can only protect myself from the distance, if I stay this close to a potential threat..'
Petra looked back at the man, her expression darkened drastically now. "Thank you very much." It's strange how her voice sounds rather genuinely thankful yet her expression is dripping with hate. "I don't take well with falling." Perhaps it's because she really is grateful that he helped, yet at the same time horrified that she wasn't able to predict the possibility of her getting hurt.
Petra has forgotten that she's in the outside world now. Where pain can surprise her anywhere. If she is in her home, she's able to treat herself with everything she's familiarized with there. Here, in the outside world however...there is nothing that is familiar to her.
Petra let out a silent horrified gasp at what she just realized. This is equal to leading herself to death.. When the pain goes on for too long, she will definitely die. And death, is never familiar to her. "Thank you, Kage." The silver-haired spoke out all of a sudden, a little too quickly. "You have just made me realized something very important that I intend to settle immediately."
With that said, Petra turned around hurriedly. She was just about to continue her way down, though not before turning her head over her shoulder to said, "I am indebted to you. I shall return the favour soon." without even explaining further on it.
Now loosing interest in whatever games she's playing with him, Petra made her way down carefully.

Remi was a little surprised at Petra's darkened expression as she thanked him in a contrasting voice. He maintained a small smirk at her as he spoke in a calm voice. "You are welcome."
Remi's eyebrow tweaked up slightly as Petra gasped. His coat was still held slightly behind himself as he watched her. At her next statement, he was a little surprised how such a subtle and insignificant meeting could have made her realize something she considered very important.
Remi then smirked again at her last statement as she was leaving. "Consider it returned already." He said as he lifted his balled up coat a little to show her he was referring to that. He didn't want people to know him too well or get too close to him or even owe him unnecessary favours. In his line of work, it's best if there are no potential distractions or interruptions bothering him.
Watching her leave a moment longer, Remi then turned and headed back up out of the canyons. As he passed by the place where he had hidden his coat previously, he noticed a huge gash in the wall. His eyes opened a bit wider at that for a moment before letting out a small sigh and continued up.
When he reached the top, he looked back again for a moment, then made sure to walk in the opposite direction from Petra. He still had every intention of ditching his coat here, but now he just had to find another place to do it.
