"He is gone now.. Come and rest..."
Sean's eyes followed the owl as it smoothly glided in the air towards the stairs. Taking a sharp inhale, the little boy glanced at the door where Evan just went out from, and then slowly dropped his gaze down at the key on his lap.
'Everything..' He squinted his eyes close tightly, holding his breath for a moment before slowly letting it out of his lips. 'Everything....is for mother.' After that brief self-reminder, Sean pushes himself off of his seat and made his way towards Celeste.
He climbed up the stairs silently, step by step. Sean looked at the numbers on the doors as he walked pass the hallway, trying to find the one that matches his key. After he did, the boy opened the door with it, closed it behind him and finally raised his head.
The room is just big enough to occupy two guests, and Sean trudged his way towards one of the beds. Feeling quite tired after his trauma attack, he climbed on the bed, rests his head on the pillow and instantly fell asleep.
Celeste, his owl, watched the boy from the bedpost, staying still on it as she waited for Evan to return. She needed to tell him something, considering Evan is connected already to Sean in a way.

Evan headed away from the inn, out in the rain. The rain didn't wholly bother him, it was just a mere annoyance. His main priority right no was to find supplies to bring back to Seance. He was pleased to find a place so quickly that sold clothing. He estimated the boy's sizes as he picked up a long sleeve shirt and pants. He picked out a belt as well, just in case the pants were a little large. On his way to pay for the clothes, Evan spotted a long, black jacket with blue detail, and picked one up as well in a size that was probably just a little larger than Seance's current frame. 3.bp.blogspot.com/-el--QrsjGF0/UDQ54LcQVNI/AAAAAAAAERs/1hqdTVlZxqc/s1600/Kirito02.jpg operationrainfall.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Sword-Art-Online-Kirito1.png
Evan purchased the clothing items. They were placed in a bag made from a material that would keep them dry in the rain. Evan then headed out towards a different shop that sold food. He purchased a couple meals of locally caught and cooked meat and vegetables. They were placed in two separate cartons and in another bag together.
Evan carried the two bags back to the inn, glad to be out of the rain. He headed towards the hotel room and stopped outside the door for a minute, glancing down at the bags. He pulled out the key and let out a sigh, then, as he unlocked the door and headed inside.
As he carefully stepped inside, he then noticed Sean asleep on one of the beds. He stood there for a moment, staring at Seance's sleeping form. His eyebrows lowered together somewhat as he thought for a moment over what he knew of this boy so far. His fists that held the bags clenched a bit tightly as he wondered again over who could possibly have hurt this boy and why.

Celeste darted her attention quickly from staring at the boy to right at the general direction of the door when she sensed Evan has arrived. Perching quite still there on the bedpost, her eyes followed Evan's form as he entered.
When Evan paused to look at the boy, Celeste fluttered out of the bedpost and soared down, right into Sean, completely going through his sleeping body. He's borrowing the boy's body, just for a moment while the child is sleeping.
Sean stirred in his sleep, and then he turned his head, eyes directly towards Evan now without a speck of sleep present. The boy pushed himself to sit on the bed, his eyes still not wavering off from Evan, and motioned one of his hands to the other bed. "Evan Archen... Please take a seat.. I wish to speak with you.."
The boy's voice sounds strange. It's still his voice, yet it sounded so soft and calm, very unlike Sean. When Evan has seated, the little boy shifted to the side of the bed, so he can hang his legs down, while facing the man properly.
Then, he bowed his head low. "I am Celeste. I am borrowing this boy's body for a moment.. Pleased to meet you, Evan Archen..." He raised his head slowly again to meet Evan's eyes, and by the boy's eyes alone, one could tell, if they're perceptive, that this isn't the same boy from before. Sean always wears his eyes half-closed, but Celeste wears this boy's eyes with a wide gaze, the eyelids are completely open.
"Allow me to explain...providing that Seance had failed to do so earlier..." The green eyes she borrowed shifted down slightly, but then darting back towards Evan. ".....I am an owl spirit, always watching over what happened in that village for decades..." She started slowly, her hands clasped in front of her right on top of Sean's lap.
"Anthony Reinhardt...arrived one day." Celeste now tries to kept a fixed gaze to Evan, considering he knows that man. "He had raped this boy's mother. She was culled from her family and her home...thus she left alone, pregnant, on top of the hill where I stayed, and gave birth to this child.."
There was almost a hint of smile on Sean's face, a soft smile with how Celeste is curving his lips. "For a little while... She loves this boy...too much, that even a spirit like me...learns of human compassion." Her eyes blinked uncomfortably, signifying that she was pushed out of her balance just then.
"As this boy grows though...he began to resemble Anthony Reinhardt. The mother... ..the best I could describe was..frightened.." Celeste lowered down her gaze, now completely ducked Sean's head down. Then, the owl spirit pulled a part of the cloak, revealing Sean's arm to Evan.
"...This is what happened to the boy, in his mother's fear." Celeste ended the tale, pulling back the arm she had revealed inside the safety of the cloak. Fear can drive anyone mad. To have a child resembling so much of the man who had destroyed her, the mother overlapped the child's face with the man who traumatized her.
"Seance.. This boy does not blame his mother, though. He cares for her dearly.." A small smile was back on Sean's face again at Celeste's will. "...Humans are so fragile.." She whispered with Sean's voice, looking down at the many scars the boy has. "..We cannot help but to protect them.." She peeked a look through Sean's bangs while her head is facing down, meeting Evan's eyes. "You would understand...would you, Evan Archen"

Evan was distracted from his thoughts as he saw the boy suddenly stirring awake. What surprised Evan, however, was that Seance was now looking directly at him. He didn't even look tired or nervous. Even the boy's voice sounded strange as he spoke. Evan quickly collected himself to respond. He moved over towards the hotel dresser and placed the two bags on top of it, then headed over towards the other bed.
He sat down, sitting straight as he faced the boy with his usual straight face. Evan kept his eyes now on Seance as he watched the boy's movements. The change finally made sense when he introduced himself as Celeste. Evan's eyebrows arched slightly in surprise, now seeing it as confirmed that this being was real and not just imaginary as Seance had thought.
Evan responded with a small, polite bow of his head. "You as well, Celeste." Evan then listened quietly to Celeste's explanation. He accepted the idea of Celeste being a spirit fairly easily and shrugged off Seance's ability to communicate with her as a special ability being the result of who his father is.
At the mention of Anthony's name, Evan's fingers twitched slightly. He knew that what was to come out of the boy's mouth next was not something pleasant. In fact, he already had an idea of what that perverted idiot had done, especially considering Seance's very existence. Evan's eyes never faltered from Seance's wide eyes as Celeste spoke through the boy. As Celeste explained what Anthony had done to Seance's mother, his fingers clenched more as he began to almost grip the blanket beneath him.
His eyebrows began to pull inwards before he was caught by a smile growing on the boy's face. Evan's body relaxed again as Celeste talked about the mother's love and Celeste learning compassion. As Celeste went on about Seance growing to look like Anthony, His eyebrows pulled inward with concern as he listened. Evan knew instantly at the comment of the mother being frightened by Seance's appearance that something unpleasant was to come.
Seeing Seance's scarred arm again, an anger began to rise inside of Evan once more. He recalled the boy's screaming voice from earlier and lightly clenched the sheets again as he averted his eyes. Regardless of fears, hurting an innocent child like that is a terrible crime. Hearing that Seance only cares for his mother who hurt him like that was something that Evan could not fully understand.
He looked back over into the boy's eyes, his own eyebrows still knit together. The smile he then caught on the boy's face once again caused Evan body to relax somewhat. He eyes glanced away once more as Celeste commented on human fragility. At the mention of protection, he looked back again, catching sight of Seance's eyes again through his bangs.
Evan slowly took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. He let out a sigh as his body relaxed fully again then looked Celeste back in the eyes again. His expression was back to his usual strong neutral and he slowly nodded. "I understand. I've always been inclined towards protecting those weaker than myself."
Evan maintained eye contact with Celeste through Seance's eyes a while longer. There was something he still wanted to know. "Celeste... How many years ago was it that Anthony did that to Seance's mother?"

Celeste's smile grew upon seeing that Evan seeming to understand the truth behind Sean's past. Now that this man understands, perhaps he will become more trustworthy in handling this boy. Celeste lifts Sean's head slowly, her eyes wide in puzzlement when she suddenly sensed Evan wanting to know more of something.
She kept her gaze longer using Sean's green eyes to maintain eye contact with Evan until the man finally voiced out what he's been wanting to know. The owl spirit paused for a moment, thinking back how long has it been since then.
"In human years... That incident happened 10 years, 7 months and 23 days ago." Celeste provided the answer precisely. "What is the reason behind your question?" If it has anything to do concerning Seance, then Celeste has every right to pry.
She can sense Evan's anger several times as she was explaining about how the boy came to be, but as long as he does not use it to threaten the boy, Celeste sees no point in inquiring about it.

Evan sat on the bed, staring intently at Celeste in Seance's body, waiting to hear her answer to his question. Judging by how old Seance looked, Evan had an idea of around when the incident might have happened. His worry, however, made him want to be certain before jumping to conclusions.
As Celeste stated precisely how long ago Anthony had raped Seance's mother, Evan traced his own memories back. As he feared, his suspicions were correct. Evan's breath stopped in his chest for a moment, his gaze not leaving Celeste's, before he finally breathed again and lowered his head with his eyebrows slightly knitting together.
As he thought about it, Evan inhaled a deep breath before releasing a heavy sigh. He closed his eyes and lowered his torso in a bow towards Celeste. "I must apologize, then; for I am also at fault." He spoke a bit quietly before lifting himself back up again. His gaze remained lowered for a moment still, then finally looked up to meet Celeste's eyes again. A worried and stern look was in his eyes.
"During that time, I had taken off on a journey with my martial arts instructor. We spent a good portion of the time, however, trying to get Anthony off of our trail. The date you speak of would have been within the time frame of that journey." Evan's eyes glanced downwards in guilt again before he closed his eyes and lowered his head.
"He had followed us away from our city and we must have lost him near your village. He has been a lecherous man since he was young. While annoying as he is, I should not have left him unsupervised. I apologize, Celeste. I will take responsibility for Seance as well."

Being an owl, it is very easy for Celeste to hold her gaze without even blinking. Practicing this using a human child's body proves to be no problem whatsoever for her. Thus, Sean's green eyes stayed fixed towards Evan's gaze, awaiting whatever reaction he may has.
Once he did reacted, Celeste stayed completely still in Sean's body, only his eyes moved, following Evan's movement and trying to regain contact with his eyes. But then, she noticed Evan had closed his eyes and suddenly lowered his upper body.
Again, she waited to receive some kind of reason or explanation with why he's reacting like that. Once Evan enlightened her of why he's apologizing, Celeste stayed quite still without a single muscle moving.
After he had finished, there was a long grueling pause of silence in the room. After about a few minutes or so, a shuffling sound could be heard. Celeste had stood up using Sean's body, her head lowered as she stared down Evan's guilty form.
"I am merely an owl spirit. I was once only a snow owl." She suddenly spoke in her faint and calm voice. "I do not deserve your apology, nor do I have the power to blame you." Slowly, she lifted Sean's tiny hand and touched whatever she could reach from Evan, and her two main fingers ended up touching right at the top of Evan's forehead.
"Though I do hope I can trust you. ..Seance is growing and he needs guidance.." The voice she used for Sean seemed to fade even more in the end. "....He is very weak.." Dropping her hand from Evan, Celeste sat back on the bed feebly, almost seeming like she's falling.
"Thank you for understanding.. I must leave this body now..." And then, Sean collapsed on the bed, while his two legs are still hanging down the side of it.

Evan looked back into Sean's wide eyes as he felt two fingers touching his forehead. When Celeste moved Seance's body back onto the bed, Evan's eyes remained fixed on the boy. "I will help to guide and train him." He said to Celeste as he watched Seance's body going limp on the bed.
Evan closed his eyes for a moment to release a heavy breath of air. It was as he suspected earlier, Celeste is a very real being and not of Seance's imagination. The boy has some sort of ability to see and communicate with this owl spirit. Evan wondered for a moment if that mean Seance would also be able to see and communicate with other animal spirits. If so, then that is an ability that Evan would wish to nurture in the boy.
Evan slowly stood up after a few minutes of silent contemplation, and walked over towards the sleeping boy. He moved the covers and adjusted Seance to tuck him in, draping the covers carefully and precisely over Seance's body, just under his chin. Sleep well, He thought, then slowly turned around and headed towards the dresser where he had placed the bags earlier.
He moved the bag with the clothes he bought for Seance over to one side of the dresser, then pulled the bag with food towards himself. He took out one of the servings for him, then placed the other serving in a small cooling container similar to a fridge. A microwave of sorts was on a table beside it that he decided Seance could use to heat up his food when he awakes.
Evan took his food and utensils to the table by the window, sat down and began to eat. He quietly finished his food, then disposed of the packaging. When he was finished, he pulled a book out of his training bag and sat by the window again to read. As it darkened outside, he turned a small lamp on beside him to continue reading.
