A healing we will go...

[Rose]

It's been a few days since Rose left her home to find a highly skilled person in the healing arts. So far, she hasn't had any luck, all she had found was more and more road to walk, it felt endless for her, as if she could look behind her and still see her house. Maybe she was just exaggerating but it still felt like that and didn't dare to look back.

She sighed. "Is there no end to this road!?! Geez..." Rose sat in the middle of the road, not only did the road felt endless but the blazing hot sun felt hotter than usual today. Now lying down, she looked up at the sky, just gazing at it in admiration.

"Huh, the sky looks pretty endless too...'

Rose snapped and sat up back again. "I'll get nowhere if I sit here all day!!" She sighed once again but this time in frustration. 'I wish that healing arts expert person would just pop out of nowhere and we could get this over with already.'

"I WANT TO TRAVEL TOO, DAMN IT!" She shouted then realized she said that a bit too loud and covered her mouth with her hands, hoping nobody heard her. But who would in the middle of an empty looking road?

[Roy]

Roy let his eyes travel over the trees that were placed at the roads edge. Just a few have been left from the forest he has been traveling through earlier. The landscape was a pleasure to the eyes out here. The forests here weren't so dense like a jungle, also the sun wasn't burning as hot as on the tropical islands. Roy really didn't know why he hasn't been to this place before.

Better late than never, huh? With the difference that Roy didn't come this way to live out his wandering wishes, but more with a sole purpose.

He twitched as he gently stroke over the right side of his chest. The reason why Roy has been wandering through these forests was that he was looking for a healer that seemed to live somewhere around this place. So far there was no sign of them and that didn't change for days. Days that have been filled with pain, because of Roys little accident that broke him most likely one or two ribs.

Suddenly a voice broke the silence and Roy looked up. It sounded like... a rage? Not to far away he actually spotted the person where it came from, a girl apparently. "Oh?" He hasn't seen anybody for days, but maybe this person can finally tell him where to find a healer. Roy managed to raise his upper body from the crooked position he has been walking and went up to the girl who was sitting on the ground.

"Hey there" He greeted his opposite. "Uh...are you resting down there?"

[Rose]

Rose uncovered her mouth right after she had her little outburst about wanting to travel around the world besides looking all over the whole damned country or maybe even the world just for this certain person. She let a sigh of relief, thinking that nobody had heard her. That is, until a few moments later she hears someone greet her. Startled by hearing something unexpectedly, all she could think about at the moment was 'Crap!'

She looked around to see where the voice came from until she saw a man standing there. He looked as if he came from beyond the trees from the side of the road. 'Great, it had to be a guy too. Yeah, it can't get more embarrassing now.' As soon as she was about to greet the man back, a question was raised.

"Eh?" is all that managed to come out of Rose's mouth as she was still drifting in her own little mind session.

She didn't quite catch what the man had asked but by the fact that she was sitting in the middle of the road she could have guessed what the question was. Yeah, you had to be really lazy or rather, tired enough to care less of where you stop by to rest.

"Huh, I guess it looks THAT obvious, but, yes, I am resting."

Looking back at the long road in front of her, she decides to continue on her little quest. No, she wasn't fleeing from the man. Okay, yes, she was, but only because she probably made a fool of herself with her raging. So she stood up and dusted herself off. "Well, if you would excuse me, I have some errands to do." She waved good-bye at the man and started walking down the road again.

[Roy]

Roy could tell that the girl in front of him didn't expect any company out here. But what did she think whats going to happen if she just lays down in the middle of a road. "But.. wouldn't it be more comfortable to do it in the grass or next to a tree instead on the road?"

But before receiving an answer the person already got back on her feet and decided to leave. That was probably the shortest meeting Roy has ever experienced. Normally he would hold her back in some way, but not this time. They don't know each other after all, next to that: She was a girl, a pretty one on top of that.

"Uhh...wait." he blurted out as he turned around, twitching when his wound reminded him again that its still there. "Where are you heading to if I may ask?"

[Rose]

Rose stopped on her tracks and turned around to see the man again. Where was she heading? She didn't know where she was heading to. The only thing she knew was that she was searching for a person who god knows where he or she is at. Rose's only response was a simple "I don't know, actually." She tilted her head, and then a few seconds after an idea came to her mind.

Maybe he knew where this person was or luckily he was the one who she had been searching for all along. I mean, earlier she had wished for the person to just pop out of nowhere and get this over with and then this guy literally popped out of nowhere. Coincidence, maybe? "Hey, you." Rose cantered her way back to him. "You wouldn't happen to be a healing arts expert, would you?" she asked.

Hopefully her search had finally reached its end, not that it had been a long one, but she was eager to know what his response would be. 'Please say yes, please say yes.' was all that Rose was chanting in her mind right now.

[Roy]

To Roys surprise the girl actually stopped and turned back to him. It doesn't happen very often that Roy calls out for a random girl and she is even listening to him. But even though she stopped, her reply wasn't as satisfying as he imagined it to be.

"You don't know." Roy repeated bluntly. Even he didn't know what he should reply to an answer like this. Except mabe loading her with questions, but that just wouldn't feel right.

Twitching at her sudden call, Roy focused on her again when she came closer. "Uh.. if I was I wouldn't be here right now." he replied confused. After all he was looking for a healer himself. "Oh, I get it." Roy concluded as he combined one and one together. "So you are looking for a healer, but you just have no idea where to look for, huh?"

"Thats.. kind of sad" Roy joked at her. "Afterall this part of the country is famous for its healing arts..." He smiled at her. "But apparently we are on the same boat I guess."

[Rose]

Rose was disappointed at the man's response. She had her hopes way too high for a moment, but she came back to her senses. It would have been a pretty good damn luck if he was it. The man in front of her seemed to have gotten the message as he now pointed the obvious.

"Yes, that's right." She responded.

Only to receive a pitiful comment, which made her slightly angry at him. But after the man had told her such information about how the country was famous for its healing arts she forgot about it. Though, apparently he was looking for a healer himself. He doesn't look the healer type to her. Maybe he was injured? And if he was she couldn't really tell. He looked fine to her.

"Well, I guess we are." She mumbled to herself.

"Either way, I haven't properly introduced myself. My name is Rose. And yours might be...?" She tilted her head as she asked.

[Roy]

For a moment Roy could have sworn that he saw how the girl frowned at him. Just the fact that she maybe could have frowned already made Roy think that he had done something wrong. But it usually doesn't take much to piss off a stranger, does it?

Luckily she didn't appear to be angry at all and even introduced herself. Roys face lit up with a smile. "Hey Rose! My name is Roy, nice to-Ack" He stopped immediately when he lifted his right arm to greet her properly.

Instantly he twichted and got a hold of the lower right part of his chest again, gently massaging it. "Ahh.. sorry for that." He tried to surpress any more signs of the pain, which resulted in a tensed up face with one eye closed.

As if that was necessary, he must look like an idiot.

[Rose]

Just when Rose was about to shake his hand he quickly pulled back his arm and got a hold of his lower right side of his chest as if in pain. “H-Hey! Are you alright?” Rose could see that he has been suppressing the pain for a while now. Why didn’t he ask for help? Maybe he was planning to but I guess the pain beat him to it.

“Here, let me take a look at it…” she said as she gently moved his hand out of the way to see if he was bleeding. His clothes weren’t stained by blood, but Rose was still worried, he could be bleeding internally.

“By the way, you don’t have to apologize.” She said and smiled at him afterward. “…Roy, was it?” Rose paused for a second and took a deep breath before starting to speak again. “In order to ease your pain a little, I’ll have to work some of my magic. But in order for me to do that I need you to sit somewhere else besides… well… the middle of the road. Could you do that for me?”

[Roy]

To his surprise the girl, Rose didn't gave him a weird look, instead she was even making a move to help him. "Hey, you don't have to-" Though they just met there wasn't anything he could say to make her stop her movement.

She gave him a smile as she asked him to sit down somewhere. Roy couldn't help but to feel like entering some doctor-game. Didn't Rose say she was looking for a healer herself? And now she wants to treat him?

Roy slowly moved over to a rock next to the path. "Uhm.. have you done that before?" he asked a bit unsure. To be honest, Roy did not expect that little girl to be a full-fledged healer and he knows too well from a certain half vampire what happens if magic isn't used the exact way its supposed to be.

"You know, I'm just asking, because you..." Pause... "Weren't you looking for a healer yourself?" he finally asked trying hard not to sound any rude... after all they just have met.

[Rose]

The man made a point, Rose hasn't healed anyone before, well, any living thing at least. She quickly withdrew her hands. "Well... no, not exactly." Rose laughed nervously, scratching the back of her head as she did so. The pink-haired girl pondered for a moment, the last she would want to do is injure this man any further. Though, she couldn't do much healing at this stage, only minor wounds.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the man brought up a question. Rose nodded at him. "I am, but seeing as you were-- are injured, I couldn't just ignore it." She paused for a moment. "And it looks like you've come a long way like that, too." Rose could at least ease his pain with her healing powers, but she'd leave that decision to him.

"I'll tell you what, Roy. I could ease your pain with my healing powers. Don't worry, it won't make you explode or anything of the sort if that's what you're worried about. It's just minor healing." Rose gave him a reassuring smile. "Just until we find someone who can really help you out." She extended her hand out to Roy. "Do we have a deal?" The pink-haired girl waited for his response to her deal.
