Milly grinned again slightly. "Maybe I'll just withhold what my name is then." She said finally in response as she watched him, uncertain of his movements and prepared for whatever he may do.
Milly glared at Solo when he commented on Duo making her angry. She would definitely not use the anger that Duo caused her on this clearly different personality. She didn't really know who he was or where he came from or why he was a part of Duo but she wanted to find out.
Distracted only momentarily by the teabag that Milly knocked aside with a flick of her hand, she was surprised as the incredible speed Solo used to get behind her with a knife to her throat. Milly let out a short breathy sort of laugh and smiled slight as she looked forward. "I forgot about the speed I witnessed before." She admitted with a smile, somewhat cursing at herself inside for the stupid mistake.
"I don't intend to tell you my name anytime soon, Solo... I do have a question though... Where did you come from and why are you in Duo's body?" Milly seemed as though she wasn't afraid to die by his hand even though dying was not something she wished for.

Solo taps the pocket knife against her skin as he thought for a moment and chuckled deeply, "Sweetheart, I just said that it's manners. It's not really compulsory.." Then one of the taps got a bit deeper, it cuts her that she bleeds. "So I'll be calling you sweetheart. You don't mind, do you?"
He disappeared yet again, and in a blink of an eye, he's crouching...on the backrest of his seat, balancing himself while reaching out for the fries on the table. "I told you, sweetheart, I'm not in the mood for an interview. Stop asking~" he sing-songed as he grabbed one of the fries and put it at the side of his lips.
Suddenly, Solo flipped up from his crouching position, with both his feet now balancing on the backrest of the seat, and pulled up a gun out of nowhere, shooting in the distant corner of the restaurant...where apparently a waiter is reaching for a phone to dial the police.
The waiter's hand got shot, as well as the telephone explodes, so Solo turned back to Milly to check if she did anything stupid when he's distracted. The fries stays at the side of his lips like a funny cigarette.
"...Your blood's dripping on your bra strap, sweetheart." Solo smirked.

Milly remained perfectly still as he held the knife to her throat and tapped her neck, her eyebrows forming into a slight glare. Her face flinched slightly as she felt the blade lightly pierce into her neck. She wanted to get angry at him for deciding to call her sweetheart but she wasn't about to talk out about it to a person who had a knife at her throat.
She let out a deep breath as she felt him leave then saw him again in front of her. With his speed, simply pulling a gun on him would do no use, she figured. If she were to threaten him with a gun she would have to somehow be able to get him pinned and unable to escape with ease. She wasn't about to kill him knowing that he was not the only inhabitant of the body.
As soon as he turned from her, Milly stood up and cupped the mace can from her purse secretly behind her hand. She had to get to a decent height to be able to spray at him. If she could take away one of his senses, she thought, she might be able to get the advantage.
She ignored his comment and, while he spoke, she quickly raised her arm and sprayed the mace in his direction as fast as he was able to, hoping she managed to get it to reach and temporarily blind him. She planned to moved quickly and silently away from where she stood with the mace, hoping that she had successfully gotten it in his eyes and got out of his damaged sight and sense range.

Solo was pleasantly shocked to see a can of nutmeg seed in front of him before he was sprayed with it. That was the last thing he saw, and as he lost his balance from his crouch on the backrest of the seat there, the man quickly brings up his gun and shot the area he saw Milly last.
By the sound it emitted, he can tell he missed and shot her chair instead. "Damn!" was his last word before he fell on his back to the table behind him, breaking it in the process. His eyes are burning, Solo feels like he wants to claw his own eyeballs out. Since this isn't his body, the idea is quite tempting, but he rather kill the girl first before injuring his host's eyes.
'That'll leave a pleasant surprise for Duo...' he chuckled at the thought of a freaked out blinded Duo screaming. Solo's just disappointed he didn't thought of this idea in the first place.
Now with his mood cheered up and distracts him off from the pain, the guy clambered off of the mess he had broken blindly, taking a hold of anything to help him up. Now, he can only rely on his other four senses, hearing especially. Being a former veteran, he does already have that slight instinct to tell where the enemy is behind the mist.
When Solo's perfectly up on his feet, he just stood there silently. His eyes closed, his lips in a crooked smile, and his gun clenched in his right hand. Out of a sudden, he heard something scrambled pass behind him and Solo immediately disappeared from where he stood.
A blink after that, he could be seen clutching the hair of a waitress who tried to run off behind him and cocked his gun to her face. As he does so, he called out loudly, "Now sweetheart, I don't know if you particularly care for public civilians, but if you do, try and kill me before I kill this person, hmn?"
Since Solo has no idea what kind of weapon Milly handles, he thought she would have no choice but to get close to him in order to harm him. "To the count of three. One. ...Two."

Milly glared at Solo from where she was now standing, trying to decide what move to make next. Her eyes widened as she saw him flash over and grab hold of a waitress, threatening the poor girl's life. Her glare intensified at that as she didn't want any civilians to get hurt if she could help it.
She quietly pulled out her gun and aimed it towards him. She didn't want to kill him, so she shot a bullet directly into Duo's shoulder then immediately moved as quietly as she could again as she knew he would next be targeting the area where her shot came from. She kept the gun in her hand, warily watching for Solo's next moves, being as quiet as she could.

Solo's head snapped over the direction of where the gunshot was heard, and he was just about to move away, but due to the hostage he's handling, he didn't get to move on time and was then pushed back by the impact of the bullet drilled into his shoulder.
It was his right shoulder too, so by the time he tossed his gun to his left hand and immediately shoot towards the direction, it didn't felt like it hits anything. Plus, his hostage escaped too. "Very good.." he huffed, slightly angry, but now his resolve to kill this woman rose and that excites him.
"I didn't know you know how to use a gun, sweetheart," Solo chuckled almost madly, testing out his right arm by extending and retracting it, as well as stretching his fingers. "Now since we share the same weapon affinity, let me get this terrain to be even for the both of us."
He raised his left hand up, the barrel of the gun pointing upwards, then immediately fires up wildly on the ceiling, effectively bursting the lights there. In mere moments, the lively diner became terrifyingly dark. The evening beginning to turn into night doesn't help at all too.
"Now let's play hide and seek.." Solo laughed, backing himself onto a wall and began to stalk in the darkness. The panic and short screams by the civilians only further excites him in this game of predator and prey.

Milly watched Solo closely from her new position, glad that the poor waitress was able to get free. She glared as he spoke, trying to plan her next move. It surprised her, however, when he started shooting like crazy at the ceiling to disable all of the lights. The only one left being a sliver peaking from the back kitchen but not enough to light up much of anything in the main room. The fact that the sun was already almost set made it even worse. Along with everone else, Milly ducked down while he shot out the lights to keep from being hit by any falling debree. When she stood back up, however, she noticed he had moved from the spot he was standing and made a note that he would most likely now be in the more shadowy areas.
Most of the people had been screaming the entire time and now rushing towards the exit. Milly wanted to tell them to be quiet and calm down but she didn't want to give up her location either. She just hoped that he wouldn't start maniacally shooting in their panicked direction. Instead of trying to escape with the rest, Milly moved quietly away from the door and into a shadow of her own behind a wall.
When she reached her goal, she crouched down and began to quietly move through her purse. If only she had her rifle, she thought, which had built in night vision. However, if she had that then he would have known right away that she was a gunner. She grinned when she found what she was looking for. She usually remembers to pack this very important item when she goes out without her rifle just in case especially if there's a chance she wont return until after nightfall.
Milly strapped the goggles around her head and activated them. Suddenly, everything around her appeared green to her but she was able to see everything pretty clearly anyway. Her grin widened again as she looked down at her hand gun, knowing it was still full minus the one shot that she released into Solo's shoulder. She knew with his speed she had to be faster than him and she figured if he was alert enough he might even be able to dodge her bullets so she had to be careful and cunning at that.
Thinking about the sound of her gun, she remembered another little addition she should have in her purse. She laughed inside her mind at herself for not thinking of it earlier and quietly rummaged through her purse as she pulled out a little addition and tried to quietly attach it to the end of her gun. A silencer at least would make it a lot harder to hear the gun shot, therefore he wouldn't know it was coming. She grinned even more at the thought, hoping this would work.
Let's do this.." she thought to herself as she quietly stood up and scanned the room. There were still a bunch of people scrambling to escape and a few still under some of the tables, scared to move. In an area near the wall on the other side of the room, however, she found her target. Her eyes formed into a glare but her lips curled up slightly into a grin as she looked at him. She would have to disable his legs in order to beat him, she figured. Even with her advantage, he could still defeat her if he can still move fast.
Milly quietly moved out from the wall towards another area where a young man was hiding under the table. She heard him whimpering and made a gesture at him to be quiet. As the people escaped, the screams slowly became quieter inside. Milly quietly took in a deep breath and peaked around the wall to see where he was. She aimed her gun and moved out more into the open so that his return fire would not be directed towards anyone. She watched him closely and aimed for his right leg and shot. Not bothering to make sure it got in, she quietly hurried behind another wall.

Solo stubbornly wipes his eyes with the back of his hand as he leaned against the wall, the spice had finally began to stop burning, at last so he can see a bit. ...Though now that he shot all the lights out, he can't see a thing anyway.
Solo grunted out of annoyance, then pointed his gun at the mass of people trying to get out. "Oh, shut up!" Wasting no time at all, he pulled the trigger of his gun and randomly shoots at the direction of the entrance. Someone screamed, the sound of a fallen body could be heard, so of course Solo couldn't help but to laugh maniacally before moving away from his position, since he just give out his location.
Using his superspeed, he leaned on another wall that most people wouldn't expect for him to be right after he gave out his position earlier, then stalked to find his prey. 'This is like all the fog wars back in the old days! Hahah!'
Solo very much like fog wars, neither of the parties can see the other, and there's a great chance of surprise attacks. He grinned in excitement, playing the thought of who manages to surprise who first. It would excite him terribly if Milly does it so first.
And she did.
His right leg was shot, very close to the knee too, but ultimately at the area of his thigh. Solo didn't scream, though he was plastered against the wall like something just blow up and the impact got him knocked against the wall. There was an eerie silence for a moment, until Solo broke up into a fit of wild disordered laughter.
"Geheh.. GAH-HAHAHAHAHAH!! HAH! Ooh, you've done it now, sweetheart.." His voice was low and dangerous as he muttered his last line, eyes darting towards the direction from where the gunshot came from. In truth, Solo likes getting hit or shot at. Not only because the pain will increase his rage and insanity, it's also extremely helpful for him to detect the exact area where its from. Especially in fog of wars.
Solo took a large hop from his position half across the room using his good leg, grinning like a madman while eying the general location Milly is hiding in. He made a lot of noises, but he doesn't care, because his mind is dead set now to completely destroy this girl and that thought alone is enough to drive him to get what he wants.
Using his good arm, Solo releases the remaining bullets randomly in the direction where he's heading at, before he stopped to reload, but he kept on hopping towards Milly with as much power as he can, providing that she had ticked him off.
"Come out and play with me!" He heaved along with his laugh the moment he reached the wall and leaned himself against it for balancing himself. By that time, he had already reloaded his gun, despite his one bad arm and leg. He was a veteran way before, situations like this only makes it all the more possible for him to do feats such as reloading a gun with a broken shoulder blade.
That's the only thing he likes about being human; emergency stat-up switch being triggered on.

Milly cringed when she heard Solo started to laugh and quietly tried to take a position where she could peak around the wall she was at and see where he was. She saw him disappear suddenly and grimaced as she re-evaluated her position. She quietly took in a slow and deep breath and let it out just as she realized he had come around the other side of the wall she was behind.
Milly quickly aimed her gun towards his other arm and shot before doing a roll to the other side of the wall and taking off in a sprint to reach another wall at the opposite end of the room. She didn't bother to check if her bullet disabled him properly because, if it didn't, she wouldn't have had enough time to run before he noticed. Almost reaching the wall, to get there faster, Milly dived into a roll then grabbed the side of the wall and swung herself behind it underneath a table.
She breathed a little heavier due to the shock and sudden movement but concentrated for a moment to keep her breathing quiet. She heard some people behind her groaning in pain and others almost whimpering because they were too scared to run. Seeing the maniac's target suddenly enter their side of the restaurant only made them more nervous. Milly leaned her back up against the wall and looked to her right and listened out closely for movement.

With his whole weight leaning against the wall like that, Solo believes he has the upper advantage now that he knows where exactly the girl is by the faint and controlled breathing sounds he detected, plus his instincts. He didn't take the offensive move first though, but rather readying himself. He knows where she is, that means he knows what she could possibly do and where she's aiming to hide.
Still wearing that crooked smirk on his lips, he readied his good leg and closed his eyes, completely relying on his hearing and instincts. When he felt the timing is good, which is exactly the moment Milly moved, Solo quickly kicked up a random object that he's stepping on, which happens to be an aluminum tray. The tray was flung upwards and completely blocked the bullet that was meant for his arm.
It let out a loud clang and the tray was then flung elsewhere by the impact. "...Pathetic. How old are you, sweetheart? Your training doesn't seem like it matches my expectation.." Solo informed in disappointment, his head turning towards to where Milly is rushing towards. "I can shoot you right now. But I don't feel like it. You're boring."
Since his weight is against the wall, he's able to use his bad foot as a temporary footing and used his other foot to picked up a ketchup bottle rolling his way and kicked it way over to the opposite wall where Milly is. The bottle smashed itself against it, though the girl is hiding on the other side of that wall.
"Well! My bad for overestimating you," he huffed and let himself slides down the wall to sit on the floor. "My advice; next time I came hounding you, do remember that the only way to survive is to KILL me. Kill me, or I'll kill you." He closed his eyes and leaned his head a bit more relaxed against the wall. "In the meantime, improve your aim.How can you missed to shoot my head so...many...times.... Pathetic.."
His voice faded in the end and now only silent envelopes the whole area with the occasional noises of the electrical wires that was jutting out of the lights buzzing.

Milly made sure to listen closely yet the sound of the ketchup bottle smashing against the wall behind her made her cringe. She listened to the volume level of his voice and for any move he made and heard a sound as though he were sitting on the ground. Her face contorted into a glare as he gave her the warning to kill him next time. Ethically, she couldn't force herself to do such a thing since Duo is the main inhabitant of the body and he himself doesn't seem to pose a threat. Therefore, her objective from now on will become to remove the threat part inside of him any way she can without having to kill him.
The glare remained fixed on her face as he continued speaking then fell silent. She sat there, keeping her breathing quiet and listened closely as the dark room became terribly quiet aside from a few moans here and there. After a few minutes more, Milly turned her attention to the others in the room and began to plot a way to remove them without turning them into targets assuming that Solo is merely making a ploy for her to be caught off guard.
She looked to the man on her left and pointed to him to crawl across the room towards the door where another man lay injured by the gun. She mouthed the words with a quiet breath "go out" to him then waited for him to comply before moving herself towards the edge of the walled area and aiming her gun towards the bottom of the table that was bolted to the ground. She held the gun with both hands and fired, quickly after moving her hands to cover her face in case of debris. A piece of metal from the base plunged into the side of her forearm and she cringed at the pain. With her other hand, she carefully pulled it out and dropped it before turning her attention to the table.
She pulled it down and, hiding behind it, moved into the main area that allowed a clear shot from Solo's location to the front door. She moved the table across to the other wall and coaxed the people there to get behind it so she could lead them out safely and repeated this until she got everyone out, those who were able were carrying out the injured.
Milly moved herself back behind the wall with the table down beside her and sat up against it and let out a deep yet quiet breath. She grabbed a few napkins that had fallen from the table earlier and held them tight against her wound to help stop the bleeding. She never let her guard down or stopped listening to what was going on at his part of the restaurant. She was just relieved for now that she was able to get the others out even if this may already be over. She waited another few minutes or so before giving up her silence.
"Are you still there, Solo?" She said out loud, her gun in her lap, ready to grab it instead at a moment's notice. She listened in the silence for a response of any kind, hoping he was gone and left Duo in his place.

By the darkness of the restaurant, particularly in the area where Solo had settled down, nobody could see what's really happening to him. He's sweating, to say the least, part of his working limbs shivered and his eyeballs were almost rolled back.
His partly visible irises kept changing colors.
"STAY THERE!!" The voice sounds different than how Solo speaks, and by how loud he yelled, it almost seems like he directed that order to Milly. He's not sure if Milly can even tell him and Solo apart, but might as well warn her either way.
Right now, Duo is internally counter-attacking.
'Oh? You're out earlier than usual. Finally growing a backbone, boy..?'
'Just watch me.'
Using his one good arm still with the gun in his grip, Duo raised his hand near his head, now pointing the tip of the gun right at the side of his eyebrow. His thumb nimbly pulled the trigger, the clacking sound of it vibrated in his ears.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Solo awoken in panic and immediately tossed the gun off with a flick of his wrist. The gun bounced on the floor a few times loudly before halting to a stop by a piece of debris in the middle of the restaurant.
"And you say I was the coward. ...Scared you, didn't I?"
"You DON'T KNOW what death is like! I, for one, have experienced it!"
Duo wanted to laugh, and just earlier he was boasting about with warning Milly to shoot him on the head. And when Duo almost made it came true, Solo chickened out. "..Death scares you that much..? So you cling to life using MY body?"
Duo did laughed, slightly, since his strength won't allow him to use that much energy now. "Well I'm experiencing something more awful than death itself, so death sounds tempting.." As he muttered that, he uses his good hand to feel around the floor blindly, and luckily, he found he wants; a large broken glass shard.
'No, you-- ...Heh, i-if you kill yourself, then its the end for you too! Are you prepared for that?!'
'Yes. Your existence..is far worst than death, Solo.'
So with the last bit of his strength, Duo brings up the glass shard in front of him and forcefully stabbed himself on his chest, right on his heart. The sudden pain made him screamed shortly, but that one short shriek could make anyone wince by just listening to it.
Blood spluttered out of his chest and mouth, but Duo's face expression, if anyone could see it, is of disappointment. He doesn't have enough strength, the shard didn't went in his chest deep enough, he can feel it. It doesn't even touched his heart...
'NO!! DAMMIT!!'
'You're out of luck, boy. Heheh, so how does the pain feels like, eh? If you can't take that, then don't even joke about suicide, you little prick.'
His shivering stopped and the throbbing in his head ceased down. So there Duo sat leaning against the wall, blood trickling out of his lips, tears streaming down from his eyes. He was...so close... So close to get rid of him, of Solo, of himself. What's the point of living if you kept finding dead people whenever you wake up?
Duo closed his eyes, more tears rolling down. He's so glad he's in the dark right now, so at least Milly didn't see him so pathetically like this. He wanted to call out to her that it's safe now, but at the same time he wanted her to stay hidden there, at least...until his tears dried up.
Either way, he didn't have enough strength to do anything now. Still with that piece of glass jutting out of his chest, Duo just shuffled himself on the wall a bit. He wanted to sleep so bad right now, usually he has to tire himself out until his body is useless before going to sleep, in fear of Solo taking over when he loose his consciousness.
But now given the fact that even Solo is exhausted, and his body is less than functional, Duo calmed himself that this is going to be a peaceful sleep. ...As long as he woke up first. Out of the many regrets that he has today, the most notable one is probably...
'..I'm sorry, Milly...'

Milly sat there against the wall listening out for any response. She was quite surprised to hear an order from him, however. Milly's ears twitched as she heard Duo's voice, recognizing the difference in them and her head turned to the right. She shifted herself slightly so she could be ready to move at a moment's noticed. It both surprised and relieved her to know that Duo was trying to come back to the surface.
She thought she heard a click of an empty gun then shortly after was surprised to hear Solo's panicked voice. Shortly after, she heard his gun being thrown across the room. She gripped her arm where the napkins still covered and held the gun loosely for now in her other hand.
Milly listened to their continuing conversation, somewhat confused at some of the content but trying to reason out the possibilities of why he is the way he is. A ghost of a previous man inhabiting his body seemed like a somewhat far fetched idea to her as she has seen such a similar symptom as split personalities in those who have suffered shell shock from war.
"Something more awful than death?" She wondered to herself as she listened closely to their voices. She was unsure of what was happening, but a sudden shriek from Duo shocked her and her eyes grew wide as she stared at the edge of the wall, not sure if it was safe for her to go to him yet or not.
Milly remained there for a good few minutes or so in silence, listening out for anything more out of either of them. After taking a deep breath, she called out in attempt to find out what was going on. "Duo? Are you there?" She asked, listening out for a response as she dropped the napkins that had soaked up a lot of the blood from the wound in her arm.
She peaked around the corner, holding her gun steady and prepared for any scenario she could think of. She breathed deep and quiet and slowly made her way over, the night vision goggles still on her face so that she could see him. A few electrical flashes released here and there from the broken lights and such as she moved and peaked around the wall.
She was surprised at the sight of Duo, certain that it was him and not Solo, with a shard of glass in his chest. Her eyes widened in surprise and she immediately moved in front of him and crouched down, her gun ready just in case. "Duo!" She called to him as she observed him, noting that there was blood that had been coughed out.
"It's going to be okay, Duo. I'll get you to the infirmary." She said then quickly rushed over to where she left her purse and put everything away and slung it over her shoulder. She hurried back to Duo and crouched next to him, pulling his good arm over her should and wrapping her other arm around his waist to bring him to his feet.
It took a bit of effort, but she managed to get him up and started to lead him out of the restaurant. "You'll be okay, Duo... I'll make sure of it." She said a bit quiet as they headed out into the snow. Ignoring the cold, she made the trek towards the nearest infirmary in order to get his wounds taken care of.

If by some miracle Duo has the power to send his thoughts to Milly, then he would definitely asks her to just leave him alone to rot in this place. He doesn't deserve to be saved, to be sympathized, to be alive.
His energy is almost completely depleted by Solo's breakout and the strength Duo took to suppress that madness in a safe level, so his lips couldn't even move to simply tell Milly that she doesn't need to do this. It saddens him even more at the effort this girl puts on helping him to stand up and stabilize himself, although he weights so much more than her.
Then again, his more openhearted side encourages him to at least use the tiny speckled bit of strength that he has left to keep his consciousness, just so he won't collapse and bury Milly under his dead weight. Duo also tried to contribute his part of half-dragging/half-walking, initially failing at it, but by sympathetic nature alone of Milly trying so hard, the lad did managed to attempt at holding part of his own weight.
When they reached outside into the snow, he could see the customers from before seething at him with such hatred and pain, Duo immediately closes his eyes in shame and despair. They tried to stop Milly, to persuade her not to save this madman, to bring the braided man down by throwing snowballs at him...but Milly didn't stop.
She just kept on walking, supporting Duo.
Said man heaved in a sharp inhale, now very grateful he doesn't have any energy left to even shed a tear, because he definitely would. Milly promised that he'll be okay, she said she'll make sure of it, and even after what he-- what Solo did to her, she's determined to see the end of it.
Duo gently closes his eyes yet again, this time much more peacefully. They've walked far enough from the angry customers now and heading straight towards the nearest infirmary. Through the long journey under the snowy climate, Duo's glad that he's so close to Milly now, to be sharing body heat with her, to smell the faint fragrance of her hair, to be leaning on a human being..
'So this is what it feels like,' Duo thought with a peaceful sigh, '...To have a friend to lean on.'-END-
