Saphira smiled at Kida like if she was knowing that Kida was going to say something about her name, but then her sentence got cut off. "Alright!" She replied with an even bigger smile. She was almost looking like an excited kid at the moment, which was totally not applying to her mature face.
Continuing to finish her rare steaks Saphira was waiting for Kida to arrive with the main course. When Kida came to her table with the huge steak and the cooked potato Saphiras eyes were immediately pinned to it. She was hungry, so even if the steak wasn`t that good she would be okay with it. "Don`t worry, I`ll bet that it will be marvellous.." She replied with her eyes still pinned to the juicy and fatty steak.
But Kidas warning words brought her attention to the burned hands. Even though she was carving for the steak at the moment, she couldn`t ignore her injuries this time. She nodded at her words and then reached for her hands "Would you lend them to me for a second?" She asked and took a hold of them without waiting for an answer. Saphiras hands had already a natural coldness so even the touch itself must feel already very relaxing. But then she also used her healing magic, and the palm of her hands started to glow in a slight blue. After a few seconds Kidas hands gained their natural colour again. "Here, that should do it." Saphira smiled after she was done.

"My what?" Before Kida really could think about what Saphira was asking she had already taken her hands. "Huh? Wait--whoa....." Kida blinked down at the blue glow. "Dude...." was all she could say at first when she looked at her healed hands. "Wow, thanks. How did you....?" She trailed off and looked at her newest customer with awe.
Kida gathered the other dirty dishes, glancing back down at her palms. She knew that Saphira was obviously more than human, considering how much she ate. But magic rarely came to mind when Kida was looking at someone. Which was truly ironic, since Kida couldn't scientifically explain her own ability to manipulate water.
"Thanks. Really." Don't act like such a goob. she told her self and gave Saphira a smile.

Saphira chuckled at Kidas confused face expression. "I´m glad that I could help." She probably thought it would be some kind of magic, because thats how its supposed look like, so that Saphiras dragon identity stays hidden.
Then she eyed the steak in front of her and her stomach growled once again, this time it was not hard to overhear it. Oh yeah, she was hungry. But still she turned towards Kida again , who was still standing next to her. Since they were in some kind of conversation now, Saphira just had to use the chance and ask Kida a question that was bothering her for quite a while. "Umm, you don`t happen to know a place where I could stay by any chance?"
Saphira was traveling for a long time now and she realized that this can`t go on forever, she just missed a place that she could call her home.

"Like and inn? Hmmn. Well I don't live in the area....So I don't really know." Kida tapped her fingers against her chin in thought. "But I could always ask one of the other girls for you. I know Tracy lives here in Sougen." Tracy being one of the other waitresses in the steak house. "Let me see if I can track her down and ask for you, kay?"
Kida still had some other chores to do for her other tables and she could tell Saphira wanted to dive into her newest steak. Kida was half wondering if she was even going to be full after all of this and pies. Sure, it was enough food to feed an army, but there just seemed to be no stop for her. "I'll be back." Kida had to gather more plates from her other tables and dump them in the dirty bin. Then double check that everyone had refills of their drinks or needed anymore sauce or whatever odd thing they had asked to go with their meal. Not to mention get an earful from a lady who swore her steak was not cooked well done enough.
Stomping back with the plate she literally ran into Tracy. She was also in a hurry so their conversation consisted of 'Is there an inn around here?' 'Yeah, the Alamo Inn.' before they both had to rush off. Huffing, Kida tried to not throw the plate when she got to the kitchen's pick up window, but it still hit the counter with a bit of a clang. "Manny, don't get pissy with me, but this lady says it's not 'well done' enough." Kida geared herself up to get yet another ear full, now from Manny, but in her frustration Kida hadn't realized that it was not Manny sitting on the other side of the window but Ri.

"Not well done?" Orion, Ri, piped with Kida, the restaurant's waitress went back to the pick-up window. "No, worries. I'll fire up another one. Manny's on break." With a carefree smile, the young cook took the plate from Kida to get back to work. But before he did, he asked to clarify, "Rib-eye, well-done, right? I just started shift you see and I didn't take this order." Orion chuckled apologetically.

Kida jumped. "Ri! Oh, thank GOD you're here." Kida symbolized the craziness by slouching over the counter. "Can Manny just stay on break permanently and you take the shift? I'm sure Mr. C wouldn't mind that at all." He hadn't been working here long but already the word of his cooking had spread and they were busier than ever. "Yeah, rib-eye, extra charred." she shook her head. Didn't just ruin the meat to cook it until it burned?
"By the way, Ri, you're not from around here, are you...? I had a customer ask if there was a place to stay and Tracy said the Alamo inn...but I dunno where that is."

Orion blinked, extra charred...? and said, "I'll see what I can do." Orion had always been the resourceful type of cook and while the order sounded ridiculous, he was more than happy to take on the challenge. It seemed like almost none of the kitchen stress ever challenged Orion's endurance when it came to his job. His cool grey eyes never seemed to tire even when he worked full shifts and then some, and his natural good-natured personality blended well with the other workers. The majority of the staff, excluding head cook Manny, liked him for that.
When the question of the Alamo Inn was mentioned, Orion answered, "It's just a couple of blocks east from here. It's in the same town I believe."
He then took a good look at Kida and chuckled, "How long have you been working here today, Kida? Here..." Orion placed small fruit cups on the pick up window, "Get some glucose in you, okay? Grew them from my farm. Tell the others to get theirs. What's my food for when the servers can't serve them. I'll work on that steak right now."

Saphira nodded at Kidas words and replied smiling. "Yes, that would be really nice!" She was really grateful for Kidas friendly attitude, she doesn`t meet people like her often. People who are friendly and helpful, and who really mean it at the same time.
Then she finally brought her attention to the steak that was waiting in front of her. "At last.." Saphira whispered with a low voice and put the curry sauce onto the steak. Then quicky grabbed the cutlery and cut of large pieces of the steak, shoving them into her mouth and didn`t stop chewing anymore.
She forgot her gracefulness for a second there, because the sauce was again dripping out of her mouth. She didn`t care about it at all at the moment though and kept eating. She also forgot about the guy who was staring at her and also didn`t notice anything of the little quarrel at the kitches window. The only things that existed for her at the moment were the steak and herself. And she was right about her suggestion before. The steak was indeed marvellous!
After she calmed down a bit, Saphira began to think about Kidas words, that came back to her mind again. 'An Inn, huh? Well.. I was more thinking about something more... more domestic, but I think an Inn wouldn`t be a bad idea for the start. Maybe I should check out a few other places before I settle somewhere..'
While she was thinking and still eating her steak she wasn`t aware of the fact though, that her half finished dish looked like a battlefield, and not to mention Saphiras mouth that was covered in curry and steak sauce. Some of it was also dripping on the table, but she managed somehow to keep her dress clean.

Kida sighed. "Your wife is a lucky woman, Ri." she said pointed to his wedding ring as she munched on some of the fruit he'd given her. He was right, the food would probably get her kicked into high gear in a better way than that energy drink would have. "Dee, right?" Kida chuckled. "I think Sierra's still sobbing from the news." Most of the waitresses had wept when he told them he was in fact married and to a gorgeous beauty none the less. What struck Kida as a little odd (or new to her at least) was the couple's love of gold. Ri seemed to have a tattoo under his wedding ring for the same purpose but wore it anyway along with a few small bits of gold on his wardrobe here and there.
"Thanks, Ri. I'll come back for that steak." And she was pretty sure that the woman was going to be satisfied when she bit into it. Kida grabbed some napkins to guise her return back to Saphira's table, but she hadn't been expected the actual need for them when she got there. "Uh...here. I talked around, the Alamo Inn is just a few blocks east from here."

As Saphira saw Kida approaching her table again she was actually noticing for the first time that she was being a bit too rough there. She took the napkins and cleaned her mouth "Thanks for the napkins." Saphira replied a bit embarrassed but caught herself pretty fast. "A few blocks east? Alright, got that. Thank you very much for your help." Saphira said with a smile.
She took another bite of her her steak, this time she was a bit more careful. "Oh, and you might tell the cook that the steak was perfectly fine!" Saphira let out after she gulped, without knowing though that there already has been a shift change.
Then she took some big sips of the fruit juice, to be specific, it was almost one liter, and then started to eat the cooked potatos that have come with the steaks. It was just for a change, because she still had a third of the steaks left.

"No prob. It's not like it was hard to ask, really." she chuckled. Although running into Tracy hadn't been much fun, that would have happened regardless of needing to ask her a question. "Heh, no wonder about the steak. Ri's on shift now, he's the best cook around." Kida gathered the other plates she hadn't been able to grab before. She also made a mental note to bring her a refill of juice.
"Want the pie whenever it's ready?" she asked. The pie was going to be rather large, considering the portion of her steak. "Cherry, right?" Kida couldn't remember the kind of fruit Saphira had requested.

"Good to know, I`ll remember that when I`m about to starve next time." Saphira replied and chuckled. Saphira lay her index finger on her cheek and pondered. "Yup, I think it was cherry. And if it wasn`t, then it will be cherry now." She joked around. Now that she ate a 'little bit' her energy slowly replenished and her mood became much more cheerful. Even though shes more of a calm person normally.
"Please bring it when its ready, or when you have the time." Saphira said, before she was continuing to eat the cooked potatos again. For now she still had enough food and didn`t need another portion very soon. Also her stomach calmed down by now and Saphira could eat like an ordinary human again without feeling like shes still starving even though shes shoving little bits into her mouth.

"Alrighty." Kida gave a nod and headed back to the kitchen. The Cattlemen's Steakhouse had most desserts made in the morning so they would be ready for prep when they were needed. From the storing trays Kida selected the cherry pie that was to be used next. The slice sizes varied, but since Saphira wanted everything large, Kida cut off a piece that was a combination of their two biggest sizes. Add some whip cream on the side and fresh cherry and it was done.
Walking by, Kida remembered to grab Saphira's refill of juice and headed to the table. "There's the pie when you're ready. And some more juice." And finally it seemed, the rude guy had left. Of course he had left with his table a mess, so Kida hurried over to start gathering the plates and wiping the table down.

As the food slowly vanished from Saphiras dish she also felt the slight feeling of being stuffed. But it was only a slight feeling, which means that there's still much room to eat.
She finished the potatos by now and smiled at Kida when she brought the dessert and more juice. "Thank you, Kida." She let out and took some big sips from the juice right away. After that she finished up the rest of the steak within a few minutes.
She stretched in relief, before she shove the empty dish aside to place the dessert in front of her. Quickly grabbing a few napkins that she still had from those that Kida brought her, Saphira cleaned up the table that still carried drops of steak sauce and juice. It just wasn`t fitting a lady and next to that, she didn`t want Kida to have all the work with cleaning it on her own.
After she got that done, Saphira started to enjoy her dessert with small and gentle bites. 'Looks like its time for the check soon' She thought.

"You're welcome." Kida had said before moving on. Cleaning up the other table took her a while, making sure it was cleared and sanitary enough to eat off of. When she was done Kida took the tray with all the trash and dirty dishes to the back to dump it. Glancing around it looked like most of her tables were either just starting or just finishing up their meals.
Kida gathered the checks for those tables about to leave and started handing them out. "I'll leave the check here just in case, Saphira. If you want something else, feel free to ask."
