"I did. In the Sougen area as I was patrolling there was something in the air that was really strange. Okay I wasn't really patrolling.. but i did end up following Miki into that area. The safest place that she knows since that is her home, but as I followed her I felt like someone was following her too... But I didn't see anyone. It was as if I was being watched. I was going to enter the stake house in which Miki decided to stop by at but I figured I should come back and tell you chief. It's like Miki is the glue that holds everyone together. When she's not here...-"
That is when Jean snapped at Eve. his fatherly instinct was starting to get stronger and stronger, and when Jean snapped at Eve, the whole room was in shock. Everyone began to realize what an impact the angel had made on them.

"That's enough! You decide to leave Miki vulnerable. You should have went in the stake house with her dammit! No but instead you come back and tell me. Listen I know the reception there sucks but you could have called me. I have no issues with Miki going back into her home but you have been a bounty hunter far longer than she has. YOU can sense when you need to protect someone. You should have stayed.
"It's important that nothing happens to Miki or to any of you. You are all my children, and Miki is like a daughter to me. She does tell us where she is going, she's responsible. But today I know she is in danger and I tried calling her but of course it tells me no service is available. SHIT this is so frustrating!"
His eyes showed a father's love wanted to protect his kin, so it was no wonder that he snapped.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you Eve but you should have made a better decision. You should have listened to your gut."

In the cattleman's stake house Everyone that was currently there enjoying their meals had stopped as soon as the person entered the room. Everyone was scared silly but Mitsuko stood her ground as she made a promise to Myyra that she will protect her. The man that she was now face to face with, was her dad Kouji. He noticed at how serious she looked, and she wasn't going to give in.
"Well well well... My little daughter has made herself pretty for my presence. What is it now? Our second meeting. My has your brother vanished again? And oh where is your pretty boy for a boyfriend?"
His voice was as cold as ice, no emotion, no surprise. No love. He walked a few steps toward her, but she backed away. As she backed away her father advanced more until finally they hit a wall, and she couldn't back away from him anymore.
"Have you gotten my fortune cookies lately? With the little messages inside them? YOU Knew I was watching you, but didn't want to fight you. But , perhaps you can enlighten me with a taste of what you learned. After all isn't what they say knowledge is power?"
He mocked her as he soon stepped away to give her some room.
"Let us cause a rucks shall we? Draw your gun, as I draw my sword."

The first thing that was important to Mitsuko at this very moment was protecting Myyra so where ever her father moves, the angel would follow his movements, in order to make sure that he doesn't see Myyra. If her father finds out that in a way Myyra has given her some sort of warning, her father would probably do something unthinkable. Mitsuko wasn't going to let it happen.
So while the little girl was under the angel's protection as well as Milo's she looked in her father's eyes and stood up to him and of course things were becoming heated so a cuss word did slip, however she whispered it since she did respect children, and no children deserved to hear foul language.
"You unimaginable bastard. No one here deserves violence and I won't draw my gun just because you say so. And how can you be so selfish?! Wanting to cause a ruckus while there are civilians are around trying to enjoy their meals? YOU really want to harm someone is that it? is that what you want? I don't get why people must hurt each other. It's as if life is a game and whoever dies dies. But let me tell you something. I won't let you hurt my family and yes MY HQ family, and my best friend, and my new friend."
"And by the way my boyfriend has a name. Zero. DON'T forget it."
Just as she said those words her father did draw his sword, but she didn't respond, and at the same time she wasn't acting like a damsel waiting for someone else to enter and save her, if she was going to get injured in time she will heal, as long as that child, and the civilians didn't suffer then she has done her job of being a bounty hunter, and as a guardian.
As all this was going on what Kouji didn't know was that Miki had HQ on speed dial and when she pressed the number 1 it automatically dialed the number, and when Jean answered she stayed quiet. This was the hint that she was in the middle of an altercation, but she was going to be fine. And yes she did dial the number by hiding the phone behind her back and quickly pressing the button.
The angel looked at the sword's sharp blade of her father's and just kept staring at him. She didn't want to fight where civilians were, and also the gun's bullets can easily reflected off a gun's blade like a mirror.
"You won't win. I have everything I could possibly want. Love, trust, honesty, honor, compassion, and friendship. As long as I have all those things.. I know things are going to be okay, and even though I don't have parents, and my brothers are in and out of my life doesn't mean I am giving up! Zero is always with me as well as my new father Jean."

At the sudden entrance of a peculiar man, Myrra naturally jumped and immediately flipped under the table she's using. From below, she could see the man striking panic and fear through the whole restaurant, and the redhead backs away even more from the scary man.
"Kou..ji..." She fearfully whispered under her breath as he walked pass her table and tried to pin Mitsuko into a dead end, both physically and emotionally. Quickly, as if by instinct, she once again reached for a phone and constructed a quick S.O.S. message.
Right after she send the message, Myrra instantly pulled off the back casing of her phone, disassemble the battery parts and pulled out her SIM card, storing it safely at a small case hidden under her collars. The redhead was just starting to assemble back the phone when he saw Kouji unsheathing his sword.
Panicking, she managed to tack her phone back together, just to stood up from her table and throws the phone with all her might right behind Kouji's hand. The moment of collision was so perfect, the phone broke to pieces even when Myrra wasn't even that strong. The little girl quickly ducked back under the table after she did that, right on time if Kouji turned back to see who did that.
Tears were already rolling down her cheeks as she hides, trembling. "Please...be sent.."

Hunter's phone rang an unnatural tune all of a sudden, so the bounty hunter flipped his hat back from covering his eyes from the striking sun before reaching in his pocket for his cellphone. That tune meant it's from an unidentified number, so Hunter's curious on who it might be.
He was just walking off reaching the border of Sougen in order to reach Kumo, the bounty hunting starts in an hour or so there after all, with Zero in tow beside him. Zero, the boy who happens to be his partner in crime, turned to him curiously while Hunter unlocks his phone.
"Huh... I got a message from an unknown number. ..."Cattlemens Steak House. Kouji." ...Huh? What a strange message.."

All the way from Veyyard to Kumo, Zero noticed he kept tripping his own two feet. Hunter got a good laugh of it the first few times, but after a while, it just got annoying. It's like Zero's loosing his own balance point, ever since he woke up this morning.
At Hunter's cell ringing, Zero almost tripped again out of surprise, but he caught himself before he was face-planted on the ground. His pants are all dirty now by the numerous falls, but he focuses all his attention on Hunter's mysterious message.
At the last word in the message, Zero's eyes widened. He KNOWS that name, heck he loathed that name to the very core. "Hunter! We have to go to that place! You know where it is?! LEAD! NOW!! Miki's in trouble!!"

Hunter was downright confused and surprised when Zero began yelling at him out of the blue, but hearing of some kind of trouble Miki is in, Hunter immediately spun around and began running towards the area of the Steak House. Zero's running alongside him, panicked.
In the midst of rushing there, Hunter called a number and placed the phone at his ear, "Pick up, pick up-- AH! Chief!! We got a rumour of something going on at Cattlemens Stake House! Yeah, I dunno, Zero's assuming Miki's in a pinch! I know, we're rushing there right now!"
Snapping his phone close after the call ended, Hunter sped up towards the place, leading Zero. "MAN, one of these days, we have GOTTA get ourselves motorcycles or something!"

"What should I do chief? I swear it was an honest mistake, I really didn't mean to leave Miki and to not make myself known to her, I know I should have stayed and now... And now she is in trouble... Please there is something that I must do!"
She looked at Jean with pleading eyes and knew that even though she was human and made a mistake just like everyone else, she understood that when you are a bounty hunter no mistakes are to be made, since people's lives are on the line, one mistake and someone can lose their life, or be endangered. Mitsuko was still a noobie in the field and she still needed guidance.
Eve was supposed to be her guide just like Hunter is to Zero. so Eve felt like she failed. "I'm sorry Jean please let me assist Hunter and Zero."
I know when Zero finds out that I didn't listen to my gut... he'd give me an earful."
She then saw the chief getting ready himself, this was going his first time assisting the bounty hunters physically on the field. before he was recognized as the chief he worked solo. He would complete his missions to his full ability, and while he was very good at it, he was never cocky. He was always fair, and acknowledged each of the bounty hunter's talents.
People asked him why didn't go out there and work like he used to but he said that he was getting older and needed to be the inside source in bounty hunting. Eve seeing how serious he was in assisting Mitsuko, that showed the dangerous beauty that Mitsuko touched him in the deepest part of his heart.
"Chief... You can't go out there! What if you are rusty? I.. I mean..."

"Listen to me Eve. I am disappointed you didn't listen to your instincts. In life that is the most powerful thing that we as humans have. It also plays an important role in our job. Instincts are always right. Let me give you an example as I quickly get ready here. Let's say someone influences you to try something and yet it doesn't feel right to you? if it doesn't feel right you don't do it. Though if you feel comfortable with it go ahead."
"I understand that you are human and mistakes will happen, and I may not always be happy with what happens or the mistakes that each of you make, but the mistakes you make are your own. But when you make them, you must learn from them, and take what you learned and make yourself stronger. I still care for you Eve. But please next time.... be more careful when faced in a situation like this one."
"Miki is Zero's angel and if anything happens to her he won't be able to go on, at least not in the calm way that we know him ever since she reunited with him. He'd live but he would lose sight of himself. I know that Miki has put him in the right path. But he does care for her deeply. If he lost her all over again, it wouldn't be fair to either of them. You know what Miki taught me? She taught me what's like to have a daughter. She is younger then the rest of you. She and Zero are the youngest. that's why they are looked at as the children."
Jean quickly took off his glasses and put on his shades that has a light tint on the lenses so you can still see his eyes. He put his gun in the holster and headed out the door with Eve, and started running. He called Hunter and Zero back and instructed Hunter to put his phone on speaker as they ran.
"Zero and Hunter! Listen I will be there shortly, I want you guys to not rush in recklessly understood? Especially you Zero. I have observed Miki's training and she can hold on. She may or not fire a few rounds of gun shots due to the civilians inside that stake house. WE don't need any innocents caught in the cross fire. So just wait for me outside that stake house, you can however look in the window to see what's going on in there. And also there is going to be a bad rain storm coming so please watch yourselves until I get there."

"Your father? IS he really more of a father to you? More than I am.... Heh. Probably when he's done with you, he'd cast you aside."
Kouji said these harsh words to Mitsuko, and he started to advance a few more steps when she managed to get away from him, but silently keeping her power activated in protecting the little girl. The angel's heart never faltered That girl's safety was her first priority, so she made sure to communicate with Milo from her heart and managed to tell her dove to keep watch over her, while she keeps her dad busy.
Kouji still advanced towards his daughter his sharp blade pointing at her, but Mitsuko kept backing away and soon she was walking backwards up a few steps of stairs that led to a nearby window. His eyes met with Mitsuko's eyes with much disgust, he could see that she wasn't backing down, or giving into his emotional abuse any longer. Kouji also saw that she would rather be a daughter to someone that loved her for who she is, and not a shadow. She was now from this day forward the daughter of the bounty hunting chief.
"Aww what are you going to do now!! got you cornered!"
Just as his sharp blade touched her, she finally did it while they were now up the steps and away from where people were.
She drew her gun.
"Ah now you speak!"

Mitsuko, acted as a diversion and now since they were away from the civilians she was going to now defend herself. Now that they were on a height she did unleash her gun and fired a few bullets of her small gun but little did she know he had a bulletproof vest, it was as if he was prepared for her sudden change in fighting methods.
Outside the battle you could hear the rain pouring down. Everything was out of balance because of what was happening on the inside. It was as if the heavens were crying. But the way Mitsuko saw it, it was her breaking free. At least starting to.
As they fought on the height with each of their strength Kouji did a move with his sword, which caused them both to fall through the window. The window that they fell through wasn’t the one that Zero and Hunter were looking at were responsible for, the window that Mitsuko and her dad fell through was the one located at the back of the Stake house, though there was no denying that the shattering of the glass could be heard a mile away.
There was also no doubt that Mitsuko got a little cut due to her falling through the window, and because of the move that her father made with his sword, she ended up also getting another injury at the side of her- namely where her appendix is located. She was now bleeding, but her dad was overjoyed to see her shedding pure red blood that dropped to the grass below. He had the power physically but Mitsuko’s heart was strong, as well as her will.
Her power activated and created a shield around her, that shield was because of her mother’s spirit, and that shield allowed her to land on the ground safely. Her mom knew she was in danger, even though her mom was in heaven, she still managed to protect her daughter with her spirit. A person’s physical body decomposes when he or she dies… But the spirit never leaves. It will always continue to guide and watch over those that spirit loves.
“I’m free from you dad… No.. Kouji…. This fight proved to me that… You have nothing but strength. No heart. No matter how hard I try to see the good in you your heart is shrouded by darkness. If you keep resisting then no one would be able to help you become a better person… If this is your path if this is the way you want to live. Then so be it. Just know, your actions today have consequences.”
“I was only able to help others because they didn’t push me away, in realizing for themselves that I am a good person, and I would never hurt someone. So when a person opens up to me, doesn’t push me away then I know how to assist them, touch their hearts and protect them.”
“Then there are those other times where I just have to intervene and save someone’s life, no questions asked. I won’t ever watch the ones I love to die, or be hurt. Even if that person is a total stranger."
" Everyone deserves a chance in living. Life is far too precious to let go of. I may be injured here but you won’t ever kill me. I’ll die when it’s my time, but right now my time is to help my new friend. If you are happy with what you did to me today, and disrupted the peace leave now.”
“I don’t hate you dad…. But I can’t wait for you to change. I have to go on with my life, get married to Zero and no longer be in emotional turmoil. There are times where people can’t stay in a situation any longer. If they do then they will always be hitting their breaking points and forever be emotionally strained with no way out.”
“If I constantly continue to be living in fear I won’t be able to be free, and enjoy the life that I deserve to live. One thing that you will know about the relationship with Zero and I is the fact that we never leave each other entirely. He was only waiting to become stronger, just to find me all over again. I may have forgotten who he was because of my amnesia but my heart never did which just meant that I would love him all over again."
"I hearby pronounce you... Under arrest. For injuring a bounty hunter, and endangering the lives of many civilians especially a little girl."
Kouji who had caused his daughter to bleed because of his actions didn’t feel anything. No remorse. He finally got the battle that he wanted. And he was satisfied. After her speech he walked away, her blood stained on his sword. Little did he know he was walking right toward the bounty hunters that had Mitsuko's back all the way, and were ready to arrest him.
The angel looked in the distance and saw Jean's shadow.
Milo soon came out doors gently tugging on Myyra to show her that the girl was safe and sound. But of course the dove was worried about Mitsuko's injury that she cooed asking her if she was okay.
"It's all over Myyra.. you don't have to fear my father anymore... I don't know what he told you but.... You don't have to worry. I'd said I'd protect you... and look. your cute self is all safe and sound."

Myrra was one of the few civilians that screamed when the horrible sound of the window shattering echoed through the whole steakhouse as the blonde woman was hit and pushed outside. The little girl quickly got out from under the table she's hiding in and rushed to the nearest person there, which happens to be a waiter, and asks for his cellphone since hers was crushed whilst trying to stop Kouji earlier.
Myrra nimbly places the phone on the table, dismantling it, pulled out the SIM card and slipped in her own. She dialed a set of numbers, and with her shaky hand, placed it on her ear while turning to the broken window. "S-squad 3, this is Flaky. Flaky to squad 3, do you read me? You're near the borders of Sougen now, right? Area 51? Good, there's a team of medics coming through your way in half an hour, possibly contacted by the head chief of Veyyard's bounty hunter headquarters soon."
Her voice was shaky, but she managed to cleared it out in order to direct a command to her hidden mass of spies. Myrra doesn't call the ambulance, even though she has all the power to, her job wasn't meant to get her detected by the government or the bounty hunters. There's a huge bounty on her head anyways, so the only way she can help is by secretly assisting the supporters that the bounty hunters expected to come.
"Yes. The rain will get heavier and might possibly slow down the medic team, so I want you to secretly direct them to route 27... Yes, the shortcut. Yes. Please do it 'accidentally', so they don't realize you helping them. Yes, thank you. Good luck. Over and out." Myrra shut the phone, quickly dismantle it again to pull out her SIM card and returned the phone to its owner.
Despite her panic, or maybe due to her panic, the redhead is able to act accordingly to the situation. She didn't freeze out of shock like the rest of them, although it's quite in-character of her to do so, but this little girl has full power in maintaining her fear after going through such frightful things in her life every so often. After she's done with her part, she rushes near the window where Mitsuko and Kouji just went through.
The redhead hides herself beside the window, her back against the wall, so Kouji nor anyone outside can't see her, but she can hear them. She's able to hear every word Mitsuko uttered, despite the noisy drops of rain tapping on the zinc rooftops. She was crying so much, but so silently, it's moments like this that happens throughout her life and all she could do to calm herself is to cry.
Everyone she talked to always gets hurt, Myrra curses her existence for bringing such ill luck to everyone she met, but the again, that lady outside -Mitsuko, she reminded herself- said that everyone deserves to live. Myrra puts a hand over her mouth, to stop herself from weeping to loud. Her eyes must have gone so red by now.
After a while, she heard Kouji escaped. Immediately, the redhead opened the window next to the broken one to poke her head outside, and stared face to face to the bleeding angel. By the sight of it, she wanted to cry more, but the rain outside washes over her hair and face, mingling her tears with the raindrops.
Milo the bird who hovered around her flew outside through the window Myrra just opened, and the little girl could only stood there, half her body inside, and the other half hanging by the window sill. She simply nodded continuously at Mitsuko's words to her, lacking of anything to say, but tried to say something anyway.
"I...I know.. T-thank you.." Indeed, Kouji scared the crap out of her. Now that one of her fears is being dealt with, Myrra feels grateful. One down, 99 more fears to go. She turns to look and from afar, she could see a few groups of people nearing by. Fearing it's the bounty hunters, Myrra diverted her attention back to Mitsuko and stuttered, "P-please... Y-you deserve to..live, so please...live."
That was her last set of words before she flashes a tiny encouraging smile to Mitsuko down there, then pulled her head back in the window, beginning to escape before the hunters found her. After making sure all the bounty hunters are grouping at the back of the steak house, Myrra escaped through the front entrance and ran off under the rain. Before long, she disappeared completely.

"Shit, shit shit...!" Zero chanted along with every stomp he takes, it's beginning to rain hard and the mud's slowing him down. He's very pissed off and worried as it is, now he has to deal with rain too? Still, the young bounty hunter didn't slow down, he kept on running and pushing himself even though his legs were screaming by the strain he had put upon them from the immense running.
Finally, he could see the steak house in the distance, the rain makes it so hard for him to see, they created a sort of light cold mist to the atmosphere, this is why Zero doesn't like rainstorms one bit. He's drenched, his clothes are heavy, his guns might be a bit slippery when he handles them and his boots kept sticking onto the mud. Curse Sougen for having so many sands in the country.
Unbeknown to Zero, the moment that Miki is harmed there inside the steak house, Zero tripped on his foot. He fell to the ground with a splat and mud bounded all over him. This further frustrates him, so Zero clenched in a fist and slams the ground with it, splatting more mud everywhere.
"DAMN IT!!! Something feels OFF in there, I can feel it, BUT MY STUPID FEET WON'T COOPERATE!" He screamed through the rain, with Hunter finally catching up behind him. Grunting, Zero pulls himself up, but instead of on his two feet, the young man sat on the muddy ground, pulling out his special snipe strapped behind him and began adjusting the machinery.
Hunter asked him what on earth is he doing, and Zero's mere response is, "Instinct." After setting it up despite some problems with the rain, Zero props up one of his legs up as the gun's base, sets his precious Dragunov on his knee and aimed near the clearing of the steak house. He then crouches down his back a bit in order to see through the scope attached to his snipe and the scope magnifies of what he sees in the distance.
Due to the rain and mist, it's especially hard for Zero to notice anything unusual. He can just see the building through the scope and it's impossible to detect human movements there. Suddenly, he picked up something, very faintly and vaguely. He saw a flash of black and white from his scope.
"Target sighted," he announced to Hunter, and by the sound of his voice, anyone could tell how immensely pissed off Zero is. His finger slid at the trigger, and after a few tensing moments, Zero relies on his sharpshooter skill and spryly shoots his Dragunov.
Despite the mist and rain, Zero actually hits his target perfectly. Since Kouji wears bulletproof vest, he wasn't harmed, but the velocity of the bullet alone made quite an impact when it reached his body that the man was thrown off his feet.
"Target hit! Target hit!!" Zero was back up on his feet in mere seconds and rushed through the rain to reach the fallen Kouji before he got up. After he reached the man, Zero immediately throws his Dragunov away and yelled loudly while leaping off the ground. He managed to caught the man before he gets away, pinned Kouji on the muddy soil and punched him on the face continuously, violently.
"YOU DAMN, GOD-FORSAKEN PIECE OF DIPSHIT! What have you done to MIKI?!" Another punch, Zero was raging like a mad bull. It took him a while to tore his attention away from the man to notice his bloody sword, and that snapped Zero even more. The mere thought of Miki harmed...or possibly dead, pushed Zero to the border of insanity.
He doesn't look human. He doesn't even look like an animal now...he looks like a demon.
Screaming all his heart out, tears shedding out his eyes, Zero grabbed a hold of Kouji's neck with one hand, choking him near death, while the other reached out for his handgun and pulled it out of its holster. Stabbing the barrel of the gun inside Kouji's mouth, Zero whispered in a deathly low voice, "You deserve...to DIE."

Hunter was desperately trying to catch his breath AND catching up to this immensely fast boy in front of him. Actually, Zero's about 10 meters ahead of him. Hunter swore he should loose some weight after this, it's getting harder and harder to catch up with Zero, especially when he's in that crazy mode of his.
But then he saw Zero tripping and falling on the mud.
"God, what is WRONG with your feet today, boy?!" Hunter panted as he rests his palms on thighs. Hunter suspects it may be the rain making the road slippery, but there's not even a road here, all that exists here now are sticky mud. Usually, Zero has excellent control on his feet, since he relies on his speed most of the time, and now seeing that same boy tripping like snot-nosed kid, Hunter can't help but to facepalm.
"You're HORRIBLE today, Nil, I mean SERIOUSLY!" Though before Hunter could finish his ramblings, Zero suddenly sat up. "..What the hell are you up to now?" He had asked, and the boy's answer puzzles Hunter. He stood straight and looked back at the steak house building, which is roughly about 50 meters away from them now.
He was surprised to see Zero setting up his Dragunov in the middle of the rain, and beyond the scope's usual range of sight. "Nil, this is crazy, you can't see anything through th--" He was just about to end his sentence when the younger bounty hunter suddenly announced that the target is detected. Hunter's eyes widened, staring at the kid, that's impossible. Humanly impossible, especially since it's raining so damn hard.
'Zero... When something's off, his eyes are as sharp as a hawk..' The gunshot awoken Hunter from his trance and as he clears his eyes from the rain, Zero's already charging to the target he just shot. "Oi... OI NIL! Chief told us to wait for the signal! Nil!! ...Damn!"
One thing he dislikes about working with Zero, it's the boy's attitude to deliberately lets his emotions on the loose when in a mission. It takes Hunter a longer time to reach Zero, and when he does, he's shocked to see Zero violently attacking the target like a mash potato.
"Zero! Zero, calm yourself!" Hunter had yelled to him, disregarding the rules to call his teammates with the alias provided, since he knows Zero's probably lost it now. It shocks Hunter even more when the young bounty hunter actually was about to shoot a man through the throat and into the brain...through the jaw.
"WHAT THE FUCK, ZERO?! STOP IT!!" Dry of any other other options, Hunter was forced to do a knife-cut with his palm near Zero's nerves at his shoulder, ultimately knocking out the boy from his consciousness. The other bounty hunters in the chief's team had came by that time, so when Hunter pulled the unconscious Zero from Kouji, the rest of them could arrest the man.
"The hell... He has NEVER gone that berserk.. SOMEBODY! Go find Miki, now!"
