"Bec! Don't go too far!"
Huffing, Kida pushed herself forward off of a tree. She wasn't sure how long ago she and her small green firelizard had started this hike, but she knew they had come a decent way already. While Kida had been climbing up, around and on top of everything in the way, Bec had been enjoying himself flapping around and making little noises at her. It was as if he was saying 'why are you taking so long?'
"Oy. Flying creatures." she muttered to herself. Bec fluttered back to see her, an adorable little look on his face. He was so excited to be out and about since he had been cooped up inside for quite some time recently. Kida figured that if they were going to go out for an adventure, they might as well make it worth while. The Tabak Dojo was supposed to be incredible and Kida wanted to check it out. Now she was only wondering if they'd get there before dark.
Kida was trying to find her to find her way around an awkwardly placed tree when she heard an overly excited 'kyu' from Bec. She looked up in time to see him speeding off. "Hey! Wait!" Throwing herself into pursuit, Kida could only imagine what Bec had sensed or heard to get him like this. "Bec! BEC!"
"Where did you--" Kida's foot had slipped, sending her sliding down a bit of a dip in the rock and landing on her ass. "Ow..." she winced.
Bec on the other hand, had found what he had sniffed out in the breeze and was happily kyuing at him.

Sasuke sat under an old tree with his eyes closed, meditating to clear his mind. Kumo had given him a sanctuary in which he could forget all the wrongs that had happened in his life and all the truths that he wished he could just erase. The wind blew against him softly and cicadas buzzed faintly in the background in utter bliss until the sound of flapping wings came to be heard. At first it was odd for Sasuke, he thought the sound was a bat flying for it sounded very similar but when he heard the distinctive 'kyuu' sound he knew that it was anything but a flying mammal.
Opening his eyes, Sasuke saw a bright green fire lizard hovering just in front of his head. The sight had Sasuke quirk a brow. Fire-lizards do live in Kumo but they were known to much more elusive here than in Ianne which was famous for being the dragon country of the continent. But then, Sasuke remembered that he too was a dragon so perhaps this little fellow was just attracted to another of draconic blood.
Sasuke untangled his crossed legs and took his sword lying beside him as he stood. His moment of silence was interrupted by a small dragon. After giving it one last look, he turned to return to the dojo that was nestled at the peak of the mountain. Before he could manage a step though, he heard a faint female voice that seems to be speaking to herself several yards away. When Sasuke looked over his shoulder, he didn't see anyone but he could sense that he wasn't alone in the wilderness. Perhaps that woman was this fire-lizard's owner? In any case, the young man returned his gaze on the path the leads to the dojo. These surrounding thickets weren't as dangerous as the local make them to be.

"...Kyu...?" Bec turned his tiny head to watch where the dragon walked. Why didn't he want to stay? Hovering there for a moment, Bec decided to follow the dragon. "Kyu! Kyu!" he mused happily at the dragon, trying to make friends. Bec had always been a particularly out going little firelizard. He'd fallen head over heels (or talons) for the only silver dragon left, Orlith and become the arch enemy of a dog, a fly trap and a pin cushion.
"Kyu!!" he voiced, flying along side the dragon as he walked.
Kida had just managed to get back on her feet when she stumbled over a few more rocks. Catching herself painfully on a tree, she stood straight and quickly dusted herself off before trying again to run after her curious firelizard. "Bec! ...BEC!! Where did you go?!" Around bushes, ducking under trees and jumping over more rocks. "BEC!"
In the distance she heard the happy sounds of her firelizard and was at least thankful he hadn't gotten himself into trouble. Lord only knew what would happen if Bec ran into something as dangerous as Orlith in a bad mood or that havoc wreaking fly trap. Kida paused again to listen for Bec's call and took a turn when she was sure she knew the direction it was coming from.
Whatever Kida had expected the little lizard to have found she hadn't expected a person. Someone from the dojo maybe? Kida eyed the sword the man carrying as she jogged up behind him. "Bec!

Sasuke gritted his teeth when the fire-lizard continued to follow him even though he had moved away from it. Sometimes the little dragons reminded Sasuke of annoying rodents with wings. They made similar sounds and were similarly too curious for their own good. Although this one was proving to be more of a nuisance.
As he continued, hoping that the little dragon might leave him alone, Sasuke heard rustling of dried leaves and sensed movement through the trees. I seems like the fire-lizard's owner was approaching. Good. She could take her pet away.
When the woman was finally visible, Sasuke turned to her while he slipped his sheathed sword into his belt then moved it so the sword settled near his lower back. He looked at Bec then at the woman and back. "If it is yours then take him."

Kida caught up to the man and Bec with her breath coming a little heavy. "Sorry. He...." Kida's words died as she watched Bed make a little happy expression and settle himself on the guy's shoulder. Judging from the expression on said guy's face a second ago he wasn't too fond of Bec already.
"Bec, c'mere, leave him alone."
"Kyu!" Bec disregarded Kida and gathered his small wings against himself so he could more easily sit on the dragon's shoulder. Bec hadn't come into contact with many absolute dragons, but he was fond the scent of a dragon on a person to which he could perch on. "Kyu!" he chirped.
"Bec...what are you doing? C'mere. ...Sorry, he...he seems to like you for some reason."

"Hmph..." Sasuke didn't care much about fire-lizards and this was no exception. He didn't care much about dragons as a whole either and learning that he himself was of draconic descent didn't change that. Perhaps it was one of the reasons that Sasuke rarely used his dragon powers. He had gotten so used to relying on his own strengths to face hardships not on powers that his blood has given him considering he didn't even know that he was an Absolute until his 16th year of life.
The dark-haired man shrugged his shoulder and brushed the pet lizard off its perch. Assuming that the fire-lizard's owner was like those other travelers that seek the legendary temple of Tabak, Sasuke said, "If you are looking for the dojo..." He pointed to this right before continuing, "...a path will lead you there."

"Kyu!" Bec protested sadly as he lost his footing due to the brush off and had to unfurl his wings. He looked at the man curiously as if asking why? Why wouldn't another dragon want to be near him like he wanted to be near this dragon? Bec didn't understand and so, despite not being perched on the dragon's shoulder, stayed next to him to hover.
"Oh. Sweet, thanks." Kida replied. "I thought it would be cool to see." She looked back at the man and gave him a once over. He definitely looked like he was a resident of Kumo with his oriental type garb and the way he carried himself. She wondered if he was there for the same reasons and she or if he was simply climbing the mountain. Perhaps he already attended the dojo. "Are you going there too?" she voiced her curiosity.
Absently she was still wondering by Bec wasn't coming back to her. Kida was also a little insulted, maybe just a tad jealous. Why would Bec treat a complete stranger in such a way and not come to her, his loving owner that had been his best friend for years? Maybe his pockets are stuffed with Dragon nip.

Sasuke was quiet, thinking over his options in answers for a moment and glanced at the dragon that was hovering near him. "I've already gone there." He said, which was true. He had taken most of the morning hiking the steep trail that led to the dojo. He then turned back a couple of hours ago to return to town but decided to stop for meditation.
And, since he was interrupted, Sasuke just wanted to go on his way. Looking back at the woman, Sasuke had the impression that she could be from the school he attended long ago, not that he was acquainted with a lot of people. This person just fit the typical DD student, young, nosy, and has a fire-lizard following them around. Sasuke averted his eyes and snorted as he resumed his stride towards the direction of the mountain's base.

Kida waited for the guy to respond and when he did, it wasn't much before he was walking off again. She didn't know whether to think of him as a jerk or a guy in a hurry. Then again, maybe he'd found the dojo boring. It sorta sounded like it from the way he had said he'd already been there. "Oh....Well, thanks for the tip." Kida said a little awkwardly as he was walking away. She was turning to find the path he had mentioned when she noticed that Bec wasn't where he had been hovering a minute ago. Nor was he next to her.
"Bec...?"
The little fire-lizard was already following his new friend, of course, in the opposite direction of where his owner wanted him to go. "Kyu!" he called after the dragon to wait for him. "Kyu!" Bec was tempted to land on his head to perch, but after being swept off his should the fire-lizard was wary of perching on him again.
"Bec! ...Stop following him!"

Sasuke did his best to ignore the pet dragon hoping that maybe if he did so enough it would return to its owner. When it didn't stop, Sasuke paused momentarily and said, "Can't you control your own pet?" to Kida. If she could do that then she wouldn't have this problem of getting into the forest following her fire-lizard.

Kida scowled at the guy's back. "I'm not going to throw a leash on him." Bec may have been her pet, but he was also a friend. Kida couldn't restrain a friend. Kida ran to catch up to them again. "He doesn't normally do this to strangers." she said while trying to catch Bec. "Do you have food in your pockets or something like that?" Not that she could imagine Bec being hungry at a time like this, but you never know.

Sasuke glanced at the woman unimpressed with her righteous statement. Can't leash him, eh?
"It defeats the purpose of having a pet that doesn't listen to you." The young man scowled before continuing, "And, yes, I do." Sasuke reached into the insides of his loose sleeves and grabbed a steamed bun wrapped in dried taro leaves. If this was what the fire-lizard was after, might as well give it so that he would stop following Sasuke around.

Kida scowled again. "Look, Man, get a grip and realize he's not trying to eat you alive." Jeez, he's just being curious, you asshole. Kida had never, ever allowed Bec to do something wrong. And there had been very, very few times of Bec even trying, let along doing. For a little creature like him curiosity and fun was just a way of life, however as a fire-lizard he also had that basic ability to sense danger.
Bec watched, his small head tilted as the dragon took something from his pocket. The fire-lizard blinked at it for a moment then went back to trying to cozy up to his new friend. The bun held no interest for him at all. In fact, he was quite full at the moment.
"Huh..." Kida looked from the bun back up to the man. "Guess it's you." And your bright, cheery disposition. she mocked and made a face at him in her head. If the other people at the dojo were this uptight about a little fire-lizard Kida thought she shouldn't waste her time.

Sasuke held the bun up but when the small dragon didn't seem to take interest he just returned it back in his pocket-sleeve. When the owner said that it might be him that the fire-lizard liked, Sasuke snorted. Great. The flying cat wouldn't stop bugging him then. Its owner was starting to become a bitch too.
"Why don't you just grab your pet and be on your way?" Taking and carrying the thing shouldn't be too hard, unless this woman was such a pet pushover that she wouldn't even do that.

Kida's teeth clenched. Don't push him off the mountain, don't push him off the mountain, don't push him off the mountain.... It was also hard to resist the urge to flip him off after he started using that tone with her. Why don't you take a flying leap?
It didn't seem like a good idea for Kida to hang around this guy much longer or she might be jailed for homicide. "C'mere." she said to Bec as she caught him in her arms and cradled him there. The little guy was just trying to be nice to a complete jerk-face so now Kida only felt sorry for her fire-lizard. "Have a fantastic day." she threw out sarcastically and turned on her heel.
