A bright light shown in the middle of the grey, misty atmosphere of the main plaza of Degenara Mall.
It was like a flame that moths could never resist.
Another group of Syns jumped down from their perches atop the second floor of the garage parking lot adjacent to the mall itself. The moment their feet hit the ground, they were already running towards the bright light, all five of them. They arrived just as the last remnants of the fire disappeared under the rain and, like phantoms, launched themselves into the air the moment they saw potential prey.

"Goddamn it!" Kida swore. "I'm sick of this shit!" Kneeling down, Kida slammed her palms into the ground, the rain splashing around her. She reached down to pull from her last reserve of energy and forced it out. The puddles that had formed a small lake around them spiraled upward, twisting faster and faster under she molded it to one of the fierces creatures she'd ever seen. The tornado of water formed a dragon's head and head, lined with spines. The creature opened it's jaws wide in a silent roar and Kida sent it crashing at the group of Syn.
The water pressure contained with in the dragon was enough to crush her natural opponents in seconds, it was definitely enough to kill the Syn. The force pushed them back and crushed their bones against the parking garage, as well as cutting off any fair they might have had. Slowly, the shape lessened and lost all form, gravity pulling it to the ground. Kida wilted just as quickly to the concrete floor.
Her hair was dripping, her clothes sucking to her form, rain drops making her blood run. Kida had perfected her water skills as of late, but such a move after everything that she had done that night zapped everything she had. Kida was spent, lying in the rain about to faint from the exhaustion that swept over her. "Useless....Just rain...." she muttered before dropping out cold completely.

"KIDA!" Takato yelled as he watched her body fell. As happy as he was to see that there were no more syns. Thanks to her, She was now passed out on the ground. Takato could do nothing but ... crawl. So thats what he did. He crawled as fast as he could to Kida's side. She was out cold, He quickly checked her pulse and thankfully she was still beating. He sighed in relief. He then noticed the blood running down her arm.
Thats when he ripped off another piece of his cape and wrapped it around the bleeding arm. He figured it was better than letting the blood run out of her body. Now more than ever they needed to get to the hospital. Not only for his ankle, but for Kida's body.

Sasuke remained alert even after Kida had fallen unconscious. While it was normal for anyone to become concerned about a fallen comrade, it was only logical for Sasuke to keep watch. There could be other Syns around and, with Kida out of commission, he and Takato were even more vulnerable. Sasuke glanced as Takato cared for Kida while she was unconscious but he still spent at least a minute trying to hear tell-tale sounds of other Syns.
Satisfied that they were safe at least fo the moment, Sasuke walked up to Takato and said, "I don't know this place but I do know we need to move. Can you travel at all?" Sasuke noticed that Takato haven't been moving normally so, assuming that the other man had a leg injury, they wouldn't get far. What's worse, Sasuke didn't know a safe place to hide two injured people in.

Takato looked at Kida who was unconscious. It wasn't a good thing. One it was only going to slow them down. Two, She was the best defense against the syn. three, They now had to rely on Sasuke. "I can..." He said "But not very quickly" Oddly enough, Takato couldn't get used to the fact on walking around on only three feet. It was worse than only having one. Especially when the leg that was injured was his stronger one. Takato knew exactly why Sasuke was asking. Sasuke wasn't going to be able to carry both Kida and Takato, nor did he expect him to.
The pain then shot through his leg. He let out a small grunt but not a loud one. He took a deep breath as he then positioned right so that he could transform. He let out a growl for his foot still hurt like hell. But if it made a difference, he was going to have too.

Sasuke snorted, "It's just an ankle. You have three others" before picking Kida up and hoisting her over his shoulder. He could've made Takato carry the woman so that he could fight more efficiently but that would just slow them down even more. Even though he was surprised that Takato did transform into a lion, Sasuke pushed the urge to react or to ask about it into the back of his mind. There would be a better time to have that conversation and besides, Takato wasn't the only one who wasn't human in this party.
"Keep up, Takato." Sasuke said as he shifted Kida over his shoulder and darting into the rain. The faster they could leave the immediate area, the better because the Syns already knew that there were people in that location. Contrary to common sense of staying in one place and hiding, constantly moving might be safer for them.
As Sasuke ran down the streets, he kept his eyes out for the signs on the buildings. It seemed like they were still in the shopping district. This was no place to hide in, they need a place where they could find anything useful for injuries. Takato's foot obviously needed a splint and Kida definitely needed a place where she can rest. Five to ten minutes of trekking through rain and mist, Sasuke finally saw a directory of sorts in the middle of the fork in the road. To the right was the road that lead to the administrative district, Sasuke could only guess that's where the politicians worked, and to the left was a road that lead to the coliseum.
Sasuke gritted his teeth, there wasn't any hospitals nearby!
Getting slightly frustrated, Sasuke lowered his eyes on the list of landmarks below the small map of the directory. After analyzing symbols and the directory's oddly shaped letters, Sasuke was finally able to pinpoint the hospital symbol. Looking back up, he looked for it on the map and, sure enough, Jowston hospital was there, situated just beyond the coliseum. It made sense, Sasuke idly thought, but it was a long way from where they were.
Looking down on Takato, Sasuke said, "We are about three miles away from the hospital."

Takato kept a steady pace, not using his injured. He wasn't right behind Sasuke, but he wasn't too far either. When Sasuke stopped looking at the directory Takato started to look too. He really wanted to get off his ankle. But Sasuke beat him to it. And of course Takato was dissapointed with the answer. "Three miles!?!?"He said shocked. Letting out a grunt. They've been running for a while now! Just how big is this city?! They had to have been closer than that. And to think, Kida and him were about to walk all that way. Unless they've been running in circles now. Takato wanted to rest. But then again, 3 miles is alot better than 10. Takato looked up. With all the sky scrapers Takato wasn't surprised if they DID run in circles.
They all seemed to look the same. Reaching for the sky with almost touching the sky. "Which way?" Takato asked so that they could start heading in that direction. The sooner he could get off his foot. The better.

"We have to pass Pax Rex...a coliseum, I think." Sasuke backed away from the directory and looked to his left, over the left road that led to a large circular structure barely visible under the screen of rain that blocked their sights. Beyond that building though, the hospital should stand.
"Over here. Come!" Sasuke told his friend before quickly moving and running towards the coliseum's direction.

Takato quickly followed his friend. As they headed their way for the hospital. Though the thought of running more didn't appeal to him. Takato definatly didnt want to stay here. He wanted to rest but not out in the open like this. Not where Syn were lurking around ever corner of every building and there were alot of buildings. Takato only hoped that these three miles went alot faster than he thought it would. Takato kept his pace, not pushing himself too hard and not too less. The lion followed Sasuke to the hospital. At least he hoped it was still a hospital. Who knows what could happen to it.
