Roy kept avoiding the clicking jaws of the Syn as he pushed his arms against its chest and shoulders. But as hard as Roy tried, he couldn't bear it any longer and just before the pale face got dangerously close, it was literally kicked away from Roys body.
He quickly got on his feet again with Syanis help and immediately pulled the sword out of its sheath in a fluent motion. "Nice move." He let out in shock. Roy has never seen Syani using her telekinesis as a weapon. Now Roy understood for the first time why Syani had to seal it away.
Hearing Syanis mocking words was quite relieving, if Roy thought about that he just escaped death by a hairbreadth. Breathing hard, and still trying to calm down a bit he replied with a laugh. "Hah, I just wanted to give them a chance, you know." Hoping that this will somehow boost their spirit, because they gonna need it.

With one Syn being banged on the ceiling, rather recklessly actually, Syani's determined to flick off the next few Syns gracefully...if that's even possible. She kept reminding herself that this is no time to be practicing her telekinesis since she haven't been exercising that ability for years now.
Plus, she also has to take her emotions in count...as to not accidentally explode this building in pieces. Being buried under slabs of walls were traumatizing enough for her to repeat her mistake.
"Question. Are swords going to harm them?" She directed that question to Roy, though her eyes are set to their current enemies. The Syns looked so human from afar, if they have their fangs hidden and walking normally without their backs hunched...it strikes as weird for her to kill all these people.
But they murdered all the innocents here. Her eyes locked themselves towards James there, since he's the only one with a shirt on and looked the most human. She barely heard Roy's laugh, but that shook her into getting her focus back. "Well, don't give them THAT much chance. I still need you over HERE. Alive! Unplastic!" She stomped a foot on the floor to give much emphasis of what she's saying, half-joking and spontaneous, but half of her is really serious of that.
Followed by that stomp, her telekinesis reacted, and some broken pieces of crates nearby jumped slightly by the sudden unseen force. The needles she dropped earlier near the entrance also sprung off the floor for a while, instantly made Syani remembered. The half-vampire took that chance to quickly manipulate the needles' movements, and prodded 4 different Syns with each of the available poison needles...and strongly hoping the poison works.
'Come on, infected-tissue-eating bacteria!! Eat, EAT!!!'

The Syns roared when they were pierced with needles from unknown locations and became furious. Before they were only standing there, feeling for their prey but now they were angered and wanted nothing but locating food. All of them ran towards the source of the projectiles and lunged up and tackled the female down. Two Syns have Syani's two arms pinned on the ground while the others were circling Roy, watching his sword intently and biding their time to catch him open for attack.

Roys eyes were pinned to the Syns that still haven't approached them. It could be only moments before they are about to charge, now that they know that this prey won't give up so easily. Raising his sword in a defense position he replied to Syanis question. "I really hope sword will have any effect on them... otherwise I'll be a pretty big burden to you." He bit his lips after ending the sentence. If his attacks were useless, then he really is going to have a big problem...
When Syani exclaimed her worries Roy was grinning. Her plastic comment was making him chuckle and on the other hand the grin hid the smile of being grateful. He just met Syani again, there was no way that they are going to lose against such brainless zombies... even though they have been humans before. 'We shouldn't forget that..' He reminded himself.
As Syani was shooting her needles Roy focused on the Syns, to be able to counter their reactions. 'Here they go... focus.. focus!' Roy thought as he tightened the grip of his sword. Then the Syn started their attack, running with blood-curdling screams and jumping from one crate to another with such in inhuman speed that Roy couldn't do anything but witnessing that Syani was smashed to the ground. "Syani!!" He yelled out, but stopped right in his movement to help her when he noticed that he was surrounded.
'Concentrate damn! Shes tough enough to fight on her own... theres no need for me to offer myself as a snack just now... not yet at least.' Roy thought as his breathing rate increased and sweat was starting to cover his forehead. Grinding his teeth he eyed the Syns that were crawling around him on all four limbs, like animals.
Roy jumped away from Syanis position next to a steal shelf that carried some heavy stuff and reached up to 4 meters, while giving the Syns a fake opening.

NOW she screamed. The girlish screech came sooner than she expected, and that shriek was followed with a bonus as the pin-down by the Syns ultimately sprained her shoulders, almost dismembering her arms by the impact too.
At the moment when her back hit the floor, Syani could feel her scream being blocked for a short while, her breath replacing it, and ended her cry of pain with a quick, "GAH!" How the Syns managed to figure out that she's the one shooting the needles into them was beyond her idea.
Their grip on her arms was tight and secured, and the growl they let off really does frightened her. Though with Syani, she can use that fear to her benefit. Something exploded nearby due to her teleketic-threaded emotions, a random crate it turns out, and some sharp pieces of the box managed to hit the Syns that got a hold of her feebly.
That gave her an idea.
Boxes and crates, metal-made or wooden, lunged themselves by an invisible force through the air right towards the two Syns. The crates accelerated in such a way, that it will somehow spare Syani from getting hit. If the two Syns don't move fast enough, they might get barraged by a whole lot of flying boxes repeatedly...but if they do move out of the way, then that gives Syani the freedom to pull out another assault from under her red cloak.

The Syns hunting Roy down jumped at him when they saw that he was left defenseless by that maneuver that he did, snarling and roaring with flat, human-like, teeth soaked in virus saturated saliva.
One of the Syns on Syani noticed the floating boxes and crates. Realizing that those things might be used as weapons, the Syn screamed mightily, not to warn his partner of the danger but to call for others to help. The Syn and his partner didn't let go of Syani nor did they move out of the way. They stayed there. After all, if they moved they will die from starvation anyway. Before the box could even hit them twice, two other Syns jumped out from the shadows and tackled the animated boxes away from their brethren and Syani, who controlled them. The Syn that held Syani down growled and grinned like an insane mutant man before he opened his mouth to take a bite of the vampire's arm.

Roy took position next to the heavy iron shelf in order to use it as some kind of defense. It prevented that the Syns could attack him from any direction they please. Now that his back is protected by the shelf Roy could focus on the enemy in front of them.
It was hard for him to ignore Syanis screams, but he knew that they were more a yell out of shock than pain. He couldn't afford to give her any more attention because the Syns that were approaching him now due to his fake opening. Knowing from his little encounter earlier their enemies possess inhuman strength that makes it almost impossible to fight them properly, also he didn't know yet if his sword has any effect on them. But he knew that he better shouldn't let himself get caught.
When the first Syn jumped at him, Roy twisted to the side so that the Syn barely missed him. Out of his turn he grabbed the hilt of his swords with two hands and hit the sharp end of his blade directly on the Syns back. Roy felt that he cut something, but wasn't able to check his damage. More this slash should only help him to gain some distance between him and the Syn. Right after his attack two other Syn charged at him with their incredible speed and out of pure luck he was able to avoid being hit as he let himself fall to the ground immediately, supporting his weight with the left hand that he placed on the ground and he could feel how a part of his cape got ripped by the sharp fangs.
Being busy with his own fight he obviously couldn't check on Syani, but now that his view was free he stared right at Syani, who was still pushed to the ground and on of the Syns had his mouth wide open. That was already enough for Roy to know that he has to do something. He bended his legs and made a quick jump to the front, while he probably escaped another two Syns by a hairbreadth, pulled out his dagger and threw it right at the Syn that was about to bite his friend.
The only problem of his plan was though, that after he made his move to buy Syani some time, Roy himself was completely defenseless.

This was close. This was TOO close. Syani could see her death as she stared up with widened eyes to her predator's fangs. Her breath literally stopped short by the shock, and it's as if everything's moving on slow motion when a dagger out of nowhere stabbed its way right into the Syn's opened jaws, knocking it back a bit by the impact.
Noticing there's an opening faster than normal, Syani quickly propped up her knees, firmly pressing the base of her boots on the floor, then brings up her one able fist with 3 long sharp needles in between her fingers. After that, the half-vampire delivered one heck of a punch towards the Syn's hand that was holding her one arm down, multiplies it with her telekinesis, and could possibly broke a bone to half...
Once she could feel the Syn's grasp on her loosening even a bit, Syani slipped her arm off, placed her palms on the floor her to secure her balance before performing an inhumane jump off, bringing her up about 15 feet in the air. While in mid-air, the half-vampire brings out two different-shaped vials from her flaring red cloak.
Weeks before, some random chemistry book taught her the basic properties of alkanes, something she would normally fall asleep with since there's nothing but harmless effects. She tested her alkanes with some halogen elements...so far, there's not much surprise when she uses it with bromine and chlorine - meaning it doesn't explode.
One of the potion bottles in her hands is labeled as alkane. The other one however, is fluorine, a wilder, more reactive element than the rest of its halogen brethrens she is able to gather. With a mighty toss of the two vials together towards the Syns below, Syani grinned. 'Exothermic reaction, difficult to control, can cause carbon-carbon bond cleavage...EXPLOSION!!'
"Come on, HALOGENATION!!!"
BOOM!!!
The explosion was small for her taste, but the impact was definitely strong. All it needed was more sunlight, and the explosion would end up as big as her normal ones. It looks like a firecracker gone wrong from above, a very strong limb-exploding firecracker, that is. Syani could even feel the force from her chemistry practice slightly pushing her above, so the half-vampire, again, made a spectacular dive to the ground with a roll, now satisfied her Syani signature is made apparent in this battle.
She can't see where Roy is at the moment, since she landed quite a bit away from him, but she could see some Syns cluttering around an area of the warehouse, so she bets that's where Roy is. Armed with acid-filled vials now in her hands, Syani rushed her way towards trouble...
...It's her hobby, after all.

The explosion attracted even more attention in the warehouse and, even though most of the Syn there were onto Roy and Syani were killed or unconscious, dozens more were on their way. An explosion like that, or any loud sound for that matter, wouldn't go unnoticed by the Syns. Nearly thirty of them littered the robotics building, more stalking the outside and surrounding buildings. More than half of those inside the warehouse turned their heads and started making their way where the explosion happened to investigate.
The Syns that survived the explosion shook their heads. The chemical bomb was powerful, definitely, but some of the Syns were lucky enough to be outside of the main damage area that the bomb had. The felt the impact but wasn't too damaged that they will be out of commission. Following Syani with their gazes, they growled. These prey were becoming more and more trouble for them to catch. Regaining their bearings, the Syns followed Syani and those who were attacking Roy jumped him again, bringing him down on the ground, and sinking their teeth down on his torso and arms.

Roy watched his dagger hitting right into the Syn and making Syani be able to escape from the Syns grasp. That was enough for Roy to see, so he could turn around again to face his own problems. He was lucky that none of the Syns have caught him off guard when he was throwing the dagger. But right in the second when he turned around he realized why it has been like that.
The Syns have been gathering around him, leaving him no way to escape. 'Damn.. that not good at all..' he thought to himself as he slowly raised his sword, trying not to attract any further attention to them. 'Think dammit, THINK!' he screamed in his head as the seconds where running by, closer to the inevitable charge of the Syns.
Thats when he heard Syani yelling her attack in a distance and causing him to look back, seeing her in mid-air near the ceiling. And in the next second he felt the weight of a Syn tackling him from the side and saw the chemical explosion in front of him. The pressure that was emitted by the explosion pushed him backwards into the air and making him hit the ground soon. Most of the Syns have been charging at him and therefore got pushed a little further since they barely had any contact to the ground.
Gasping in pain when he landed he quickly got back on his feet again and stabbed his sword into the chest of the Syn that tackled him earlier and lay right next to him. Roy felt how his sword stuck between the ribs and its muscles, which were both obviously much more resistant than those from a human. "Thats-!" He let out at the fidgeting creature on the ground. "Not fair!" He yelled at his meaningless attack, stomped on its chest to pull his sword out and to deliver a hard slash against its head. 'Even if its strong and resistant, his head must still be a weak spot!' Roy explained in his head as he already started running again, away from the Syn who was mostly not even close to being dead.
Almost reaching another steal shelf again, to use it as a cover, Roy got knocked off his feet "UGH!" Causing him to let go of his sword which fell to the ground in front of his face. Feeling dizzy from the hard blow he wanted to push up himself, but already saw a shadow in the corner of his eyes. Struggling against his dizziness he rolled to the side immediately, avoiding two Syns landing right on the spot, where he just has been seconds ago, ready to rip him apart. 'Damn these-!' Turning his head in a quick movement, when another Syn stepped on his right arm, Roy stared into at his moist dripping razor teeth and noticed that he was pretty much surrounded completely.

More growls filled up the perimeters as Syani swore the number of these things just multiplied after her bomb attack. It was never her style to think in crisis, she does better when she goes with the flow and do whatever she needs to spontaneously. But unfortunately, that style of hers just altered the circumstances to worst.
She's running towards Roy now, her experience escaping from her mob through the years actually managed to develop a sixth sense in her when somebody's gaining behind...and exactly how close they are. The vampire used this chance to toss her two acid bombs behind her. 'They're PLASTIC, I need to DEGRADE them, dammit!'
While on her big run, upon seeing Roy being pinned on the floor by a few Syns, Syani almost skidded off into a stack of boxes uncontrollably, most probably by the shock. His sword is still sliding out of his reach, and seeing this opportunity, quickly summons that sword using her telekinesis into her grip.
She was still far away from Roy and his crew of Syns, so she's not that surprised when a newly-arrived group of them suddenly pops up in front of her and attempted to surround her again. "Dis'a heliac ped an gir VESTA!!" With the hex casted, the blade of the sword she was holding glowed dangerously red, and with the help of her growing fear, Syani managed to sweep a heavy stroke all around her, completing a full circle.
The Syns, whether in contact of the blade or even the slightest current it created, all suffered the same fate of burning with such intense flame, that the fire barely could be seen around them. They were ablaze in a just a short moment before the fire disappears, but by the time the flame died down, all that's left were burbling molten semi-liquid that were once flesh and bones.
By the time Syani had almost arrived near Roy, it was too late. One of the Syns had already sunk their razor sharp fangs into his arm. Syani was stunned silence as all the noises around her seemed to have fallen into complete muteness. She seemed to almost pause in her running, the sword clutched tight in both her hands almost dropped off. There were so many things that could relate to 'almost' at that very moment... She thought she could save him, but she almost. The intense shock triggered it.
A large explosion occurred dangerously near some of the Syns that are starting to crowd around Roy. Some got blown off out of their skins, most loose contact of the ground and were flinged to the other side of the warehouse, but one who still had his teeth sunk onto Roy, received a gruesome fiery stab at its spine before catching into fire and melted nearly instantly...all happened within the impact of the explosion.
The release of energy was so huge, the steel pillars that were supporting the warehouse burst severely. The warehouse itself shook perilously, threatening to gravely collapse at any given moment. One side of the roof is already slanting to fall. Syani telekinetically pulled Roy towards herself as she holds onto him securely before disappearing in thin air, teleporting to safety...
Her sudden retreat was very timely, because right after that, the warehouse broke down immediately, flattening any Syns slow enough to reach to safety with the heavy metal bars and tiles.
Far out from the disaster, though still in the perimeters of the Niam company warehouses, Syani reappeared with Roy on yet another roof, but a sturdy one this time, fortunately.

Feversish Roy tried to escape from the hopeless position he was in. While he was laying face-down on the ground, two Syns kept his legs and back and a third one got a hold of his right arm. Pressing his left hand on the ground and mobilizing any single muscle it was impossible to move one single bit.
Hectically turning his head from left to right, looking for anything in his reach that could help him, Roy spotted Syani in a distance who somehow got a hold of his sword.
Thats when a burning pain descended from his arm causing a short yell to escape from his lips. Shooting a glare to the right his eyes widened when he saw how the Syn has sunk its teeth deep into his flesh. Paralysed by the pain, and even unable to scream, Roy witnessed his arm twitching on its own while the monster feasted in pleasure. Even though it possessed abnormous strength it sure was fine with only sucking at the wound and not repetively biting into it again.
The fighting sounds of the area around Roy became dull and he felt weaker and weaker by any moment, his eye lids fell. It was almost like his life energy was drained out bit by bit, disappearing into the Syns throat and spreading on the ground, in a growing puddle of blood. His arm was completely numb by now, but even though he couldn't feel it, the Syns moist was burning inside with a burning blaze.
An explosion was shaking Roy back to life, but not only because of its ear deafening sound, also through the rough thrust in the air, because its impact center was close up to him. The Syns around him got knocked off their feet and Syani, who appeared out of nowhere it seemed, finished of the Syn, that clung to Roys arm, into burning remnants within a second.
Roy felt too dizzy to follow all of the events one by one and even though his strength came back slowly, he didn't even notice how Syani managed to kill of that beast so easily. Sounds of steel hitting on the ground and cracking could be heard, the next thing Roy realized was that he was pulled into a grasp and faded away into a teleportation spell.
They landed on another roof. The sun beams burned in his eyes when he tripped forward on his knees, supporting his body with his left hand on the ground. It took him a few seconds to gain his breath again and be able to speak more or less clearly. "You.. you should have done that from the very beginning." His feeling, or better the pain, slowly creeped up in his arm again, making him gasping for air. He should be grateful to feel anything at least.
"Thanks." It was still hard for him to catch a clear thought and what was even worse, he did not even manage to fake a smile. From the second they arrived on the roof Roy immediately hid his arm in his black cape, but he guessed by now that it wasn't of much use anyway.

"Adj orn es Vesta!" Every time she said aloud those spells of her, Syani's voice seemed to echo a bit. The reddish tinge of the blade ceased once the spell was disabled, and the half-vampire released the sword she's holding immediately. The sword slid down the roof for a while before getting itself caught on one of the tiles there.
Syani didn't say a word of retort, but just quickly went over to Roy, tore his cape, and set it on the hot tiles of the roof. It's rather frightening for Syani to be wearing such a serious expression on her face. The black-haired then grab a hold of her friend, lay him on the make-shift carpet she did face-down, and deftly reached out 5 of her poison needles from her cloak.
She eyed Roy's injured arm sharply, the thing had bitten him deeply right under his shoulder, and Syani flinched at the remain of his poor arm. Since the Syns' saliva is apparently acidic, Roy's skin around the area where its bitten barely even exist now, it looks like it's been burnt down with acid. She could see right inside his skin; his flesh revealed, the tendon, the tissue, the muscle. But what she's most afraid of is the poison the Syn delivered. If she doesn't do anything fast, Roy might turn into those...horrible jaw-snapping things.
Syani closed her eyes tightly for a while, as well as clenching her jaws together to keep herself calm. Blood is rushing out of the spot quick and staining Roy's black cape. His veins were sticking out of his skin around his whole arm already, and after making out her mind, Syani surprisingly thrust all 5 of her needles around Roy's whole shoulder, and deeply too.
Those has GOT to sting, but this is the only thing she could do at the moment. Since she can't identify the Syn's poison yet, she can't just inject Roy with whatever cure she has, it might even accelerate the effect. So, Syani made up in her mind that the best thing to do is slowing down effect...by injecting her own poison. As far as her knowledge goes, her poison can kill, sure, but it slows down basically all other symptoms exist in a human body. And she needed that effect. Plus, she has the cure for her poison, so when Roy gets too close to death, Syani could just inject him with it.
"I can only do that when I'm scared. And believe me, you just scared the crap out of me back there." Now she responds to him, while her hands are busy ripping off a part of Roy's cape to tie around his gruesome wound. She wouldn't dare pour any possible curing potions there, in fear of accelerating the Syn poison by accident. So, she just mumbled a spell she usually uses to stop immense bleeding. That's all she's able and confident enough to do without unknowingly harming him.
"What the hell happened?!" Syani found her fist knocking onto Roy's head unconsciously, and apparently her voice indicated something other than fear. "I told you that I need you HERE! Why did you go damning yourself in plastic world?! Did you know you ALMOST--" Surprisingly, her sudden burst of fury was ended by...a sob?
Syani bit her lower lip, her eyes shows that she's obviously pissed of him, but then again, tears are welling up inside those angered eyes. She's weeping...and she doesn't even realized she is. Stunned by this strange jumble of emotions -somewhere in between frustration, anger, sadness and worry- Syani can't even make herself to call him a name.
"You....YOU!! You... BLEH!" Aaaand she ended up childishly stuck her tongue out at him...since she's out of option on what to do. Her next move is turning her back to him and crawled her way out of the cape-carpet to collect the sword that was stuck on one of the lower tiles.
The reason of her action is to avoid Roy seeing her like this, so she retreated. Of course.

Roy still tried to get a hold of himself, which he was barely capable to do so. He also refused to turn his head to take a closer look at his red and ripped shirt. Maybe it wasn't even that bad as it hurts he told himself, pushing his hope. But from what he has seen during the slaughtering it definitely WAS a serious wound. And the pain was immense. He just got back the feeling of the fingers in his right hand when Syani got a hold of his cape.
"Hey-" Roy tilted his head only to look into her dead serious facade, which brought him to silence immediatly. Seeing such a face from the always being hyper little girl he knows, made him stunned. Obviously she wouldn't laugh in a situation like that, but hearing nothing at all from her was almost threatening.
He didn't oppose her when she tried to lay him down, after all she was the one who possessed some medical knowledge. Facing his black cape, he heard nothing but silence. Should he say something? If so, what should he say? He was busy enough with his own thoughts running wildly through his head. Even though he tried not to think about what they said about those Syns, he still was aware of what a bite means.. and what that bite means for him.
His face turned pale by now and he winced every once in a while when another sharp sting flashed through his arm. But when Syani finally started her treatment Roy was definitly NOT prepared for it. He screamed for a second until he gasped for air because the lack of his breath while his left hand clawed roughly into the cape on the ground as he stood against the pain. Roy remained in that position for a while, until he finally let go of the cape and relaxed a bit again. That was when Syani finally spoke.
Roy wanted to apologize but stayed silent, kind of waiting for her to say something else. And like he asked for it, Syani starts yelling and even knocks him against the head until her voice fades into a small sob. Roy had closed his eyes and endured her charges. What should he say, exceptfor the fact that she is right? Even though she was talking about Roy like he was dead already... but maybe that thought wasn't even that far away.
It took him quite some time to gather the strength to finally look up at her, only to be facing her tongue and her back shortly after that. "Hey.." That was all that escaped his lips. A feeble attempt to get her attention, Accompanied by another few sobs Syani walked away from him.
Roy let his head fall back on the cape, starting to slightly lifts his head again only to hit the ground once more. Thats when all the hold back emotions started to rise up and overcame him. He clawed the ground again, murmuring words, cursing himself, the Syns, his luck he didn't care what he was cursing anymore, he just wanted to find any words to get away these awful feelings of frustration and failure.
Then after he hit his head another few times on the ground again he finally rests his head on the cape. Syani was so right to leave him just there.

Syani crawled her way carefully down the lower roof part they were taking refuge on and grabbed the sword from falling off. Her mind was so distracted by the thought of Roy would have died that she almost missed reaching the sword and let herself fall off the roof all over again.
Once she collected it, Syani turns back to return to her friend, that's when she sees him mumbling things and smacking his head against the roof a few times. Somehow, the sight magically made her emotions dropped. If not to nil, then at least a lot. As pissed off as she was at him, she didn't want him to kill himself again.
"Roy...what..are you doing?" Syani questioned, crawling back to Roy with her usual perplexed look as if that situation where she's pissed off at him didn't even occur. Maybe it isn't fair for her to be so angry at him like this...Roy's just being...well, Roy. "A-and don't move around too much! Just, just stay still, and tell me if your breathing started to get irregular. Right...I'm pulling out the needles now, okay?"
Though she sounded a bit decent now, there's still a tinge of anger in her tone. The half-vampire settled herself beside him, and after warning him of her next move, deftly pulled out all the needles one by one before storing them inside her cloak. Syani sat still for a moment with her head down, seemingly to be thinking of something, and then surprisingly patted Roy's head exactly where she initially had knocked on.
"I'm....sorry, that was..uncalled for." Her sentences was broken by the semi-long pauses she made. "And...thank you. ...For still breathing."
