When his mom left, Matthew gushed over his cousin. “Siofra is so cute! She is the best fairy princess in the universe! I wonder if mom can illustrate a storybook for Siofra where she is the star. That’d be a good present for her. But hm since I have privacy….” Sage-Lynn finished his sentence. “You’re worried about your mom?” Matthew nodded and responded. “Yeah. What I overheard in the conversation with my dad was concerning. Justice Peak is not a good place to work, and I worry about my mom’s safety if or when she goes. Normally, I’d feel comforted at the fact that my dad will be driving her, but… I just feel like something bad will happen to mom if she goes on assignment there. She may have bounty hunting experience and dad trained her… but she’s still my mom. Perhaps I can talk to my aunt about it and she can keep an eye on my mom for a while.”
So Matthew texted his aunt Syani.
Hey Auntie! I’m sorry for texting you at this hour, but something happened at my mom’s work today. Her supervisor stopped by earlier and mom and a few of her colleagues were assigned to do in-patient care for the juvenile criminals residing at Justice Peak. Since you’ve been at that place a few years ago when mom bumped into you can you keep an eye on her for a little while? Please? Mom briefed dad about the situation, she called him and he was pissed. Like mega pissed. Dad asked mom if she could turn down the assignment, but by the look of things she may not be able to. Both for professional reasons and personal reasons.
Dad will drive her up there since her car is not made for the terrain, and if she tried to drive her car then that’d be a suicide mission. If my mom gets into any trouble up there is there a chance that you can emergency teleport her out of there? I know I may be asking the impossible, but it’s worth a try. I know how much her job means to her because she hasn’t been able to work as a full time nurse in years, so I do want to be careful with how we go about this. I’d just thought I give you a heads up quickly so whatever happens, we are all there for mom immediately. I know we can’t protect her from everything but this situation has me a little worried. Okay more than a LITTLE.
Thanks Auntie!
Your cute nephew.
P.S.What were you and mom doing striking a casual conversation on a mountain, where criminals are housed? O.o Weren't you worried that they might come out and do something to you two? EEEk. That’s scary on so many levels!
