One look. Just one look at Alessa's pained expression and Syani can already tell it's not the kind of normal physical pain people endure. That expression clearly indicates that it's some kind of internal pain. Hencewhy, the second she got a good clear look of Alessa's face, Syani stopped dead in her tracks. She was shocked to see that expression, and her mind is already trying to list out all the possibilities on what's wrong with the girl.
"Um... Eva..?" Syani tries to get the vampire's attention, but Evangeline, being the famished vampire that she is, seems too distracted by her hunger at the moment and resumed to bite Alessa on the neck. "Eva...!" Syani tried to call out to her again, now louder than before. It took the blonde a moment to realize what's going on with her victim, and the second she noticed, Eva bellows out a worried cry. By her cry, Syani finally understands that it's a case with her heart. Still, it seems kind of odd... "H-hold on--" Syani was about to ask about it when Alessa suddenly vomits out blood from her mouth.
Reflexively, Syani slapped her hands on her nose and mouth, both out of utter shock and to stop her sense of smell from smelling the scent of blood. With a bit of magic, the half-vampire blocks her sense of smell entirely and is forced to breath through her mouth. That's when she heard Eva's panicked yell. Syani steps back a bit as she observes the situation, with her own breathing acting as a rhythmical sign to let her know to stay calm. Alessa falls sideways from leaning against the tree, and fortunately Evangeline manages to catch her. Syani, on the other hand, is outright confused, because to her knowledge, a heart disease can't just push blood through the trachea and out of the mouth like that. "I get it..." It seems her suspicion is correct...
"Eva," the black-haired finally moved from her position and approached the vampire, holding her shoulder firmly, "Leave it to me. Please stand back." Syani normally sports a rather high-pitched childish voice, but in serious moments like now, her tone had descended into a rather flat business-like voice. Once Evangeline had given her space, Syani moved in to inspect Alessa. "This isn't a normal heart attack..." In normal heart attack situations, it's best to perform CPR to the victim, but with Alessa coughing out blood like that, Syani doubts that's a clever solution. "I think... I think she's been cursed."
After stating that out, it's time for her to find the core of the problem. Syani presses two of her fingers at the side of Alessa's neck, the side where she's not bleeding from Eva's bite, and tries to feel her pulse. Indeed, her heart beat is slower than normal. Curse or not, it affects the heart, and the best way to treat any heart problems is to stabilize its rhythm. The question is, how to manipulate the heart to beat normally? "Time for a bit of peacemaker." Electricity, of course.
From her cloak, Syani pulls out a flask with a shining yellow liquid. The half-vampire's not a gadgeteer, but she can definitely store electricity in liquid. Inside the flask is a distilled essence of electricity, gained from a lot of study and a lot of trials and errors, as well as a bit of magic. She pulled out a long slender needle-like object from her convenient cloak, pierced it inside the long flask from its cork so the liquid touched the needle, then pulls it back out. Now half of the needle has that odd yellow liquid stuck to it. Syani carefully bites the non-yellow part of the needle to hold it between her teeth as she prepares Alessa by pulling the girl's hands away from her chest.
"Hey, hey, I need you to cooperate," she said through her gritted teeth, "Quick painless surgery. Sorry I have to strip your top a bit." Time is of the essence, so Syani hastily tries to loosen Alessa's clothes. She doesn't need to pull her shirt off, since Syani only needs to see the middle of her chest, where her heart is, so the vampire merely pulls Alessa's shirt apart from the middle and lets it drape over each of her breasts to at least cover the poor girl. "Okay, this is gonna sting just a liiitle bit~"
Thank goodness she learnt about pressure points and have the entirety of the human organs memorized. With the needle in one hand, Syani leans over Alessa to search the exact spot where the needle could pierce through without harming her other organs. "Here..." She pressed the spot of Alessa's skin and pinched it a bit to make it red, so it would be easier for her to align her needle exactly how she wants it to be. "Okay, here goes. Ready? One, two...!" And with a nimble move of her hand, Syani deftly pierced the needle soundlessly into Alessa's chest, the tip of the needle barely stabbing her heart, grazing it and allowing the yellow liquid to touch her heart. Half a second after she pierced the needle, Syani pulls it back out smoothly and immediately pressed a thumb on the hole she made, magically closing back the puncture with an enchantment she whispered out.
As Syani expected, her liquid electricity acts just like a peacemaker to help control abnormal heart rhythms. If the heart's beating too fast then it'll help slowing it down, and if the heart's beating too slow then it'll help quicken it up. The electrical pulses prompted her heart to beat at a normal rate, as Syani could see by Alessa's jolted body and limbs tightening. "Temporary fix, but..." Just as Syani finished speaking that out, Alessa's body finally relaxes. She then turned to Evangeline with a worried smile. "Now its your turn."
The half-vampire siddled away from Alessa, giving Evangeline space to move towards her. "You should try calming her down. Convince her you would do no harm... I can only stabilize her heart rate but, if she's emotionally scared of you, then it's going to start all over again." Syani mustered up a supportive smile to her friend. "Prove to her that she needs to keep on living! Like I said about your human love, a human spirit is strong. So is their will. ...Make her fight death itself. Good luck."
