"My arm is FINE." Zero stood his ground, compelled to finish the mission quick. Sometimes it overwhelms him that people are being nosy of his health, there is a limit of how much Zero can take when people mentions of his arm problem.
Or perhaps he's too upset that Miki's nowhere near within his radius of reach that he's getting a little bit intolerable to people.
"My back is ALSO fine." He added with bitter venom when Jean called him out about the bullet that hits his back now. Zero huffed, but the creases on his forehead decreases when the chief said that he's only concerned about him and that he's proud of him.
Zero turned to look at chief, his lips in a frown. "Yes, thank you. But as a growing son who's suffering from aneurysm, I'd appreciate it if you please stop pointing out my problems. Sorry, chief, but it complicates my mind when I'm trying to focus on things." 'And I am in a VERY bad mood.'
Though his words sounds piercing, Zero does try to keep a polite tone, since he respects the chief in his own way. As he got back in the fray, Zero notices that their defense of the building is loose due to the crazy shootout and a number of smugglers managed to escape.
So with chief's orders, the ones who were caught were sent for questionings and the innocents involved would occupy the HQ. Zero inhale a deep breath and grumbled out a loud sigh of exasperation. He does not take well of failed missions.
"You got shot AGAIN?" Zero growled when Hunter approached him, his annoyance growing more and more. As Duo walked pass him, Duo scowled at the braided man, it would be crazy to miss the loathing aura Zero emanates. Then, Hunter had to question Jean of the last case about Miki.
This just makes the headache grows inside Zero's head. With his right arm temporaril useless at the moment, he has to use his left hand to wipe his face at the memory of Kouji. The thought of the tragedies that man cooked up annoys Zero to high hell, his mood got even worst than it already is.
"NO, I am NOT alright.." Zero spat once Hunter asked him if he's okay. The young man is definitely not in the mood to talk now. Despite Hunter's reassuring words, everyone knows that when Zero's out of it, he's completely out of it. His mood is sour and there's nothing anyone can do about it, except give him some space and time... Unfortunately, no space was given since by now Hunter had placed his hand on Zero's shoulder, and no time was left for Zero alone since the conversation between the hunters had started.
Zero stayed quiet. Despite how he wanted to just drop off the topic about Kouji, he still cannot completely escape from the issue, since Miki is a part of this. And when Miki is a part of it, Zero is also automatically pulled into it. He doesn't mind to help the angel out, but sometimes when things started cluttering his head, it gets a bit too much for him to handle if he can't get his space and time alone to think it through.
As Jean spoke with such details of the incident with Miki falling off the window and the stabbing that had occured, Zero immediately pulled up his good hand, "Can I excuse myself from this conversation?!" He let it out louder than he expected. Zero cannot hear about this, he might literally explode again.
So he shrugged off Hunter's hand off of his shoulder, and walked out off the circle. He can't have it right now, his temper is at its peak, and he must control himself before he blows a fuse. So he walked away from the bounty hunters, and try not to focus on their conversation.
As he does so, one of the objects of his wrath dares approach him...
