Kaoru looked at her as she asked him whether demons were good and bad. A part of him wanted to laugh at the question but he kept his usual straight face. "That all depends. My brother was one of the most wicked demons I'd ever met. I am pretty much his opposite." He responded almost casually as he looked down into the water.
He looked up to the sky as she asked about his element. "I can control the wind." He said plainly as he stared upwards still. After a minute he looked back over to her. "You control water?" He questioned at the technique she had just done.

Rayl looked at him and nodded, "Hai... I control water..." she answered quietly as she looked at him, then at the water. "For me, water... is everything. It just wasn't any element... water is also my life... without it, I would probably not be here..." she lastly uttered out.

Kaoru listened quietly as he looked down at the water again. "I see." He said a bit quietly then looked towards her again. For some reason he wanted to say something more to her, however he didn't have a clue of what to say anyway. So, he just watched her quietly with his straight face from where he stood.

"Wind..." she started as she stood up and looked at Kaoru. "Sometimes... wind associates with water. If known by two user, they could use their elements to combine and make it powerful..." she suddenly spoke out, out of the blue. Unusual for her, yet she took a risk to be a conversationalist.
She took a hold of her black boots and slipped it on once again. "Does you control your element well?" she suddenly asked, finished tying and slipping her boots on.

Kaoru listened to her talking about wind and water. He looked down in thought for a moment at the idea. He'd never really thought of his element being combined with another's.
He looked back at her again as she questioned him. "I believe so." He said simply, noticing she had been putting her boots back on and watched her finish. "Are you suggesting we try it together?" He questioned after a moment of thought.

Rayl sighed and looked down at the ground, then her gaze landed at Kaoru. "Would you take the risk of having your element combined to a stranger you've just known for only a matter of minutes?" Rayl asked, her eyes shown that blank, cold yet a soft looked; she can only held.
She shrugged her shoulders as she looked up at the sky, it was gray; she knew for a minute that it will rain. "The water will pour down, and wind will take place as well together with the water..." she couldn't help but uttered out what would be her prediction at the weather. Though she highly doubt her prediction in the weather would fail. The water is telling her it will rain, the water is her element, her life.

Kaoru watched Rayl for a moment then shrugged. "I guess that depends on the circumstances and trustworthyness of the other. He said casually in his blank voice.
Kaoru followed Rayl's eyes to the sky and thought for a moment. She was able to tell when it would rain because of her element? He never had such luck with wind storms, although he could block them from harming himself when they reached.

As Rayl looked up at the sky, Kaoru have said that she have think about. Ah yes, the word trust, believing in others. She suddenly looked down and sighed. "Trust... it seems a hard thing to do to me..." she uttered out and slowly looked at him. "How could I trust someone if I can not trust myself?" she let out with those soft voice, yet firmness.
It is true, she don't trust herself.

Kaoru looked back over at Rayl as she spoke and listened closely. "What reason do you have not to trust yourself?" He questioned in a plain tone. "The easiest person to trust should be yourself, because only you know what you are capable of and how to control yourself."

Rayl looked at him blankly and sighed. Why can't she trust herself? She have been thinking of that lately, no. Not lately, but everyday.... she have think of the word trust.
She sigh as she looked down, "I don't really know..." she let out, shaking her head a bit.

Kaoru watched Rayl as she answered then looked over to the water again. "Many where I am from had often said that if you cannot trust yourself, you can never fight to the full force of your abilities." Recalling "home" wasn't really a thing he enjoyed doing, however, her comment of not trusting reminded him and it seemed like that line fit in here. He didn't always like it because he had been coerced into doing many things that were supposed to teach him to trust in himself and his powers as he grew that he didn't enjoy and still regretted some of it.
He looked back at her to watch for her response.

She sighed, she is contemplating her thought. A part of her believes of what he is saying, while the other is not. It makes her in pain, trusting someone... even trusting herself make her in pain. Though from her abilities... she also doubt it.
Doubting that a day or so, her skills will disappear. Even when she started training her abilities, she doesn't even trust the water. Because when she overtrained, her skills suddenly attacked her. That time until now, she never trusted anyone or anything. She sighed, looking at him. "I do not... sadly, I do not trust anyone or anything as of that..." she blankly uttered out, looking down at the water. The suddenly makes a ripple effect, seemingly as if it understand what Rayl stated.

Kaoru watched this girl as she looked into the water again. Anyone or anything, he thought, not even her element? He looked into the water as well after a moment to think of anything else he might be able to say to help her get over that barrier. After a minute or so he looked over at her again.
"To be able to bend the element to your will, you must trust in yourself in becoming one with the element. If you cannot do that, you can never gain full control and it may do things you did not intend for it to." He said a bit quieter as though recalling his own experiences with faulty trust issues.
"The element isn't out there to do bad or good... But it will only move with itself, not by being forced around by an outsider... In feeling a oneness with it, you can better control its flow." He finished, watching for her response again.

She frowned as she looked at him, "Why?" she couldn't help but asked out. "Have you experienced it? Your element attacking you? Or untrusting your skills?" she asked out looking a bit confused at their conversation.
Truth be told, all she wanted was acceptance, yet afraid of the outcome. The outcome that would result of her getting hurt because of the word 'trust'. She wanted nothing but to trust someone and to be trusted by others. Yet, the fact that her past experience made her doubt about it. She thought she can live by her own freely, with no one to order her.
And yet, hearing him talked about it, her mind started to be foggy. It confused her more.

Kaoru looked back into the water. "If you quickly pushed your fist into the water, some would come back at you, correct?" He asked as he looked back at her again. "It is the same idea when working with your element."
"You must move with it, not against it. Gain it's trust by becoming part of it and then you can make it follow your instructions." He finished as he recalled some pointers he'd been given during his training.
